He has Arrived

"Ann! You are late again!!!" James Flynn, her boss screamed at her.

"Don't say that you were late because of crossing a stupid road."

"I'm sooo sorry Mr.Flynn, but I almost got hit by a car today."

"You are lucky that our new chairman hasn't arrived yet. I heard that he is very strict and short-tempered. If you don't want to get fired, be on time from now on", He reminded

"Yes Mr.Flynn,She nodded. "Please excuse me for today"

"Have you prepared the presentation?

You have to do it and introduce everything to him".

"Yes Mr.Flynn. My presentation is ready. I just have to copy it to my pendrive."

"Ok hurry up Ann. Get going then. He will be here any minute now".

Ann hurriedly walked to her desk.

"Oohh! Here comes the late-comer", said Linda, Ann's workmate/best friend. "How many hours did you stay by the roadside today, Ms.Stephen?"

"Stop it already Linda. I just had an episode with Mr.Flynn...

And you know what.. I almost got hit by a car today...If not for that mystery man who dragged me just in time, I would have reached heaven by now..."

"Oh my god! Ann. Are you alright? How many times I've told you to move in with me. You never listen!" Linda scolded her.

Ann pouted and said, "My dear Linda! I don't want to come between you and your sweetheart Bryan...and you know that I always want to be an independent woman, except for this one small issue, I already am. So don't worry dear."

Before Linda could say anything, she left to her desk.

Ann copied everything to her pendrive, arranged her notes and stacked every file needed.

"Done!" she sighed...

She was startled by Linda's whisper in her ears.

"How was your mystery man, Ann? You didn't say much about him. Is he handsome? And did you get the long-awaited spark?" Linda winked.

Before she could reply Mr.Flynn walked in.

"Come to the conference room quickly.

"He has arrived."

Ann took the pendrive and files, and they both left to the conference room.

Everyone was already seated and waiting for the chairman to arrive when Linda murmured

"Look who is here?"

Ann looked up and saw Mr.Davis, Head of Sales, gesturing a "Hi Ann" by waving his hand.

Ann smiled back.

"Ah, Mr.Davis... Any girl will drool over him. He is cute, tall and handsome. Moreover like most other guys, he has fallen for your beauty. What more do you want, Ann.?" Linda muttered

"I didn't get the spark Linda". Ann replied plainly. She continued to go through the documents.

"You and your spark. How many guys have you rejected saying this? Don't waste your beauty and time, my girl. Saving yourself up for the perfect man is an outdated concept.

You haven't even had your first kiss yet!" Linda muttered

Before Ann could argue, the door flung open and a tall figure stood in front of everyone.
