22 Ready To Be Patient

The fashion show turned out to be a flurry of an electric runway show, vibrant street style, flashing cameras, and of course, complimentary champagne.

It was an ambitious and dazzling show under the night sky, but in Ryu's eyes, there's nothing more dazzling than his girlfriend-Arya.

His eyes were shimmering with love whenever he looked at Arya. Kay, who was sitting beside him could no longer take it and walked hurriedly to the backstage and looked for Arya.

"He seems so in love Arya. What are you going to do? Can't you already tell how he would react if you tell him the truth? I mean, his personality, can't you distinguish it yet?" He asked impatiently, but even if he was in Arya's shoes too, he would surely had a hard time, especially when her father was still on trial.

If she told Ryu the truth, there were only two outcomes, either he would support her and deal with Rita's contract or the opposite.

Arya just sighed, "Kay, I really can't tell the truth yet. It's too early to predict his reaction. All I know right now is that he always gets what he wants and those who try to mess up with him, he will make sure to hunt them and bring them down. So, I will definitely not take the risk of telling him the truth." She told Kay Ryu's words when they met Mr. Yamato.

Kay let out a deep sigh. Although, he couldn't believe it, Kay was quite sure that the sparks he saw in Ryu's eyes were already love. "Oh crap! It just dawns on me that you will soon break a tycoon's heart. I just hope he can move on easily, besides people like him can always get any woman after a heartbreak." He commented before going back to his seat.

After the show, Arya messaged Ryu to go inside the car first and she would follow shortly. There were so many cameras there at that moment, and gaining attention because of Ryu's presence was the least she wanted.

As soon as she got inside the car she did not hear anything from Ryu during the drive at all. It was just pure silence.

Arya didn't know what to do with the tension inside the car till the moment they arrived inside the room. 'What is this? Are we in a quarrel?' She thought inwardly.

Unconsciously, Arya hugged Ryu from behind. "Please don't be angry anymore, it's just, I don't want to drag you into a scandal. Lots of reporters were present on the show," she murmured, as her hug tightened. She felt his heavy breathing and deep sigh.

Then, Ryu turned around to look straight into her eyes and said, "Why don't you see and feel how much I like you? Who cares about a possible scandal and cameras? Aren't we already in a relationship?"

Arya felt so guilty and scared seeing Ryu's face, she moved closer and touched his face, leaning forward to kiss him. "I am really sorry, I won't do that again," she said between her kisses.

She was scared of making him angry and she didn't want it, but then a thought crossed her mind: what would he do when she left him? It was bound to happen and she couldn't do anything about it, considering the stakes that were already put on.

In reply, Ryu embraced her waist and roughly kissed her. Arya felt that the kiss was a punishment for her, but weirdly she didn't mind it at all. She clung to him tightly instead.

Ryu was staring at Arya, who was sleeping soundly in his arms. Then, he sighed.

He wondered if he was already deep in love with Arya. He couldn't stand being irritated with Arya for a long time. Even his patience was testing as he desired her, but couldn't get her yet. It was the first time that he was ready to be patient with someone like that. Thinking about all of that made Ryu more determined to get her. He kissed her forehead lightly, sighed and closed his eyes.

Another long night awaited him. Another sleepless night, but that's okay as long as Arya was in his arms.

"Hahaha… Is this person really Ryu Ken.?" Rita heard a loud, crazy laugh from the person in front of her, who was watching the videos she played on a tablet.

"So, our Ryu Ken can be this affectionate to a woman?" Rita heard the sarcastic comment and sighed.

On the playing video were Ryu and Arya together, whenever they were outside. They had hired a professional to secretly track and monitor Ryu and Arya's every movement, including taking videos and photos.

Rita saw the woman's fiery eyes and thought about how much she didn't like that gaze.

Those eyes were full of resentment, anger, envy, and hatred as they watched Ryu and the way he lovingly looked at Arya, while the latter was caught smiling to him.

"When is she coming back?" Rita's thoughts were interrupted by that question and she quickly answered, "She will be back tomorrow."

Then, she added, "Ryu was supposed to go back yesterday but he stayed." She also reported that Ryu stayed and slept at Arya's room.

Another fit of loud laughter almost tore Rita's eardrums. She hated the very sound of it. The laugh was followed with the words, "I did not expect it to be this fast. So, he finally met a match. I can't wait to see how he will react when we take her away from him. Will he still be able to smile, or he will crumble, maybe he will put on a stiff mask? Let's see how deep are his feelings."

The woman gestured Rita to continue with her report about Arya's family.
