Welcome Home Papa!

The office was painted white, and it had a large floor-to-ceiling window, which faced the main bustlingroad. On the black desk sat a desktop computer, a notebook lying open, and a stack of papers sitting under a silver paperweight. In a corner, the air conditioner was blasting at medium, and there was a black leather swivel chair in the middle of the office.

A bookshelf, with neatly stack books all in order sat in the corner, with yet another stack of papers under a paperweight. Pen in a container sat next to it.

To the side was a closet filled with suits and watches that were easily identified as expensive. In front of the desk was an brand name couch only the rich could afford.

The whole room yelled modern.

The sound of leather shoes clicking against the marble floor could be faintly discerned.

The large carved wooden doors burst open. Creating wind that caused the males suit that was as crisp as a bank note to flutter behind him. The suit outlined his perfect lean figure that seem to be sculpted from jade. His usual tousled black hair was slightly gelled back.

Behind him a meek male scrambled to hold the suitcase in his hand. He fumbled out his planner telling his boss the plans for the day.

"Sir you have 20 minutes before your first meeting. After that you have to sign some papers then have the second meeting. After that you will have a lunch break and proceed to the third meeting of the day. That is all you have scheldued."

The male faced the large window which only allowed the people inside to look out.

"Cancel the lunch break and scheldue the third meetinf for earlier. I'll do some paper work now."

"But-"

"It's fine. I want to go home early today. You may take your leave for now. Remind me when the next meeting is."

"Yes sir..."

The timid male left quickly shutting the door behind him. The male left alone inside pinched his throbbing temple. A sign escaping his kissable lips.

He opened the draw to his desk, holding a single photo.



It was to adorable. Li stared affectionately at the picture, running his finger over the surface of the framed photo.

He chuckled for the 100th as he stared at the silly photo of his son trying to feed him some rice. He instantly whipped put his phone to capture the absolutely adorable moment. Once he did his son pouted cutely showing off his chubby and pinchable cheeks. Li wanted to squeal internally at his son antics.

Luckily he was born and alpha and wouldn't have to face the difficulties of an omega. Even if he wasn't one Li would protect him with everything.

He sighed one last time placing the picture away and starting to sign the stack of paper on the desk.

"The tax revenue for this moth is expected to triple! The company's making money at a rapid amounts. From all the advanced technolog, cosmetic products and cars our CEO has manufactured."

Hushed excited whispers could by heard throughout the meeting. People sometimes putting in their ideas occassionally.

Li's secretary spoke up,

"That should be all for this meeting. You may leave for today."

The chattering of the higher ups got louder as they began to discuss either about work, what they were going to do now or complain how exhausted they were.

Li got out of his chair that was situated at the end of the table where the people with the most authority sit. He got up immediately heading to the car park. His secretary right behind him.

"Sir shall U be taking you home today.:

"No need. Head home for today and get some rest. Your hard work is appreciated."

"Many thanks sire. Have a splendid evening."

Although the public percieved Li as the 'Icy CEO' all his workers knew how kind and gentle he could be

Sometimes for the younger and newer workers he would pat thier shoulder or praise them. Or uf someone forgot the lunch he would have someone prepare them one. All the workers thought,

'The boss is too kind! Pah, who says he us evil!?'

Some were brought to tears and would go gossip it to their friends who wouldn't believe them.

Li hopped out of his luxurious obsidian coloured car that gleamed in the sunlight. His shoes clicking against the all familiar drive way. The security guards greeted him and he nodded in response. He scanned his house key card and stepped into the luxurious house.

Instantly a small body collided into his.

"Welcome home daddy!"

A smile instantly bloomed on the usually stoic male. His smile was one of happiness growing, much as a spring flower opens. His eyes turned into perfect arcs.

The male bent down and lifted the petite child. Spinning him around in the air. Causing the child's to laugh hysterically. The laughter was infectionist as the nanny and Li also chuckled.

"Papa! Hahah! Put me down!"

Li stopped spinning his son letting him sit in his arms as he littered kisses on his face.

"Daddy that tickled!"

"Sorry sweet pea but daddy missed you so much today. How about you?"

Baby Jie spread his arms as eide as he could while saying,

"This much papa. I missed you a whole lottttt! My arms aren't bug enough to show you."

Li's eyes were filled with overflowing amounts of love and affections. He patted his sons head. He lifted some of the hear placing his forehead on his son. This is something they would always do when he got back from work.

"Always know papa loves you the most."

"I know. So papa can't get another papa without me consenting. He has to be strong and smart enough to protect you. Rick enough to spoil you. Handsome enough to stand beside you. And love you enough to make you happy. I will be the one to help you find the one!"

The child yelled confidently pointing with his small finger at himself. His chest puffed out like a proud peacock.

Li stared at his nanny shaking his head helplessly. The two chuckled.

"Of course papa won't date anyone without your permission as they might be your future daddy. But I'm not looking for love right now sweetheart."

"Then if you never find one I'll be your husband! Even if I'm not I'll protect. You from all the bad guys. Bam wham bam!"

Jie began karate chopping in the air while making sound effects.

"Okay when your all grown up protect papa okay?"

"Of course! And I'm already grown up!"

"Okay my big boy. How about I make you your favourite meal since you've been so well behaved."

"Yay thanks papa. Wait that's not a grown up will say."

*cough

Jie stood on his tippy toes and said in a deep voice

"Thanks dad."

'Oh my gosh! Too cute!"

Li whipped out his phone snapping multiple pictures.

Little Jie stomped his foot, pouting and looking away from where the camera was pointed.

"Papa stop! I won't do it anymore. And now I'm hungry!"

"Okay papa's going now. Be a good boy and play with your nanny."

A plate was placed in front of little Jie who was already hopping on his seat. It was a plate of his favourite dish, hamburger steak.

Jie immediately dug in using his small pale hand to grab some of the beef. He ripped off a chunk, stuffing the piece into his mouth. He squealed cutely in delight. Sauce soon coated his strawberry pink lips.

Li had no greater joy then seeing his child enjoying the food so much.

A spoon was guided to the little one's mouth.

He started to bounce up and down on his bottom, his eyes wide and mouth already partly open. He thinks this is his, which it was.

He clapped his hands in excitement. His mouth was now as wide as he can get it. The spoon went to his mouth and he happily ate it. Soon urging for more. He ate off the spoon messily.

Li took out a handkerchief from his robe and wiped Jie's mouth covered in gravy.

He then began to eat his own food.

"Daddy how come we can never go out together in public?"

Li's handing holding his spoon stopped, turning his head to his son. Only to be greeted with a pair if innocent doe like eyes.

"Have I not been a good boy? Is that why yiu don't want others to look at me."

How come his 5 year old son was able to comprehend or grasp such a thing.

"Of course not sweet buns. I'm the proudest dad cause I have you as a son. In the future I will be able to tell you."

"Why am I not old enough now! I only wanna help you."

"It's tough for you to get. This is something I need to deal with."

"But papa! You said we were team rock. Able to get through anything if we had each other..."

"Yes but sometimes being oblivious is better the knowing."

"Sometimes I hate papa!"

Jie stormed off leaving a stunned and heart broken Li.

His son just said he hated him

What had he done?

Did he not know it was only for his sake. He couldn't put the troubles of his life on his son.

His son only wanted to hang out normally like other families and not be cooped up in here.

But if the paparazzi got ahold of a son. That would be a whole new problem. What if he was kidnapped or something. Li wouldn't be able to bear it.

Would it have been better if his son could be in a normal family. But he was his everything.

A lamp dimly lit up the dark room. The light flickering occassionally. A dark silhouette could be made up. The sound of a pen scratching against the table could be heard.

The light highlighted the sharp jawline of the lone male. His perfectly trimmed eyebrows were furrowed his lips in a straight line. He seem to be in deep thought.

A knock on the door snapped him pit of his dazed mood. His deep and melodic voice sounded,

"Come in."

The door slowly creeped open revealing a small figure.

"It's me papa. I'm sorry about before. I don't hate papa at all. He's the best, I know he cares about Jie the most. I just don't want papa to suffer."

The child shuffled his feet occassionally fidgeting with the hem of his silk pajamas. Tucked under his arms was his favourite pillow.

Li's eyes soften beaconing his son.

"Come here buddy. Daddy is also sorry. I will try and be more considerate to how you feel."

Little Jie nodded in response.

"Can I sleep with you tonight?"

"Of course."

Li turned off the lamp light. Causing the whole room to fall into darkness.

He snuggled his son covering both of them in a warm fluffy blanket. Li kissed his sons forehead.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
