Mason's P.O.V

"Hello"

"Mr Storm, it has come to my attention that you've been investigating the Miller's "

"So what?"

" So I'd like to know why"

"If you'd like to know why, let's meet up tomorrow"

" I'll message you the location "

"Okay"

As the line went cold, I became more curious. On that call a while ago I felt as if

"Mason! Are you coming to bed or what?"

I rushed to the bedroom and scooped Ava into my arms.

This marriage may have started off as a contract but I've never treated her as a fake wife because I never wanted her to be fake, I wanted her to be my real wife.

Before I met her, my life revolved around work, and the mansion was just a house but after I met her she took full control over my thoughts and forcefully entered my heart. My life suddenly didn't revolve around work and the old mansion suddenly became home, our home. I've never told her how I felt before but I'd never want to revert back to the way I lived before. She really is a blessing. She slowly became my world. My precious jade and most valuable treasure.

As I passed my hands on her hair,I realized her breath had slowly became even as a smile came over my face, I said

"You little witch, you've managed to steal my heart away, you better take care of it. I love you and I will always be there for you and protect you because you're my other half and my everything.

I chuckled as I laid back down and fell asleep.

Storm's P.O.V

He really is worthy of running such a large company in Country A. The guy sounded like a block of ice even I felt a bit chilly from the other side of the phone. My son-in-law is as amazing as me. I messaged him the location of a cafe and went to the bedroom to lye next to my beautiful wife.

" Claire, do you want to go to a cafe with me tomorrow? "

"Why are you going to a cafe?"

" To meet my son-in-law"

"But how's that possible? Did you call him?"

" No I didn't, but he called me. He found out I investigated the Miller's and called to ask me why"

"How did that end up with the two of you'll meeting?"

" Stop asking so many questions, are you coming or not"

Claire's eyes glowed as she said a resolute "Yes!"

THE NEXT MORNING

Mason's P.O.V

I got up at 9 in the morning, the bonfire is tonight so Ava and the rest are helping the hotel staff to finish up preparations whilst the employees are arriving one behind the other. I got ready and left the hotel with some skilled bodyguards. As I arrived at the cafe, I realized it was empty and the only two people inside was Mr Storm and a woman. I left my bodyguards at the door as entered the cafe and took a seat opposite them. As my gaze landed on the middle age woman, I realized that her eyes reminded me of Ava.

I then looked at Storm and said

"So, would you like to tell me what do you want with the Miller's"

" Let me put it bluntly, I know you don't have much power in Country C and you're also searching for Rose and her husband"

"So"

"Why don't we work together to find them, after all I contain all the power in Country C."

" Why should I work with you? "
