69 NEW CEO
PRESENT TIME.
Anna could feel her heart beating out of her chest but the sweet smile on her lips suggested otherwise.
As she entered the room where the meeting was being held she put powdered on her hands to stop them from sweating.
Joshua could tell that she was a mess but he didn't dare point it out. The lines on her forehead were a clear indication that she wants to do okay .
He wondered if he had been too honest with her. If was true she was the worst person they could have thought for the position.
He could t say anything about it though . It wasn't in his position to tell Vincenzo what to do.
The door open ed and the members of the board started coming in . Anna knew some of them and had taken time to try and understand what they were like so she wants to be caught off guard.
There were three women but she knew it was going to be hard trying to convince one of them to vote for her.
Now that she thought of it, this was the most stupid decision that Vincenzo had made.

Anna sat there and waited for all the members before she stood up to address the members.
"Hello, I know most of you don't know me. Am Anna Morello and am married to Vincenzo Morello . I am the one who called this meeting ", Anna said as she stared at the members trying to mumble to each other.
None of them knew what was going on and we're wondering what was going on.
"Why are you the one calling the meeting, where's Vincenzo ?", one man asked who she knew was Ahmed Mahmud.
He owned a lot of tech businesses and she knew that out of all of them he was going to be the one who would be against her being CEO.
"Well he had an accident a couple of days ago and he is in the hospital I'd whey he walking be able to be here with us today, but he'll be joining the meeting shortly ", Anna said as she turned to look at the big screen that was behind her.
She wondered why Vincenzo hadn't joined the meeting virtually already and as if he could hear her he appeared on the screen.
He could tell how relieved she was the moment she saw him on the screen by the little smile on her lips.
"Hello ", Vincenzo said and the other board members greeted him back.
Anna noticed that something had changed from the last time she had seen him. His body was less pale and he didn't look like he had been in a fight where his face had been bashed like it did that morning.
"I know some of you already heard the news that I got in a plane crash ", Vincenzo said, and the man who had asked Anna what it was that they were meeting up for asked a question.
He couldn't hold back, could he?
"How are you going to manage the company if you're still in recovery? Who is going to manage the company ?", Ahmed asked Vincenzo.
"That is the reason why we are having this meeting. I assume all of you have now known my wife Anna. Am not stepping down from the CEO position but I will need someone else to fill in my space until I get better ", Vincenzo said and the muttering in the room got louder.
"You just can't decide this thing for yourself without asking us, if you want another CEO we talk about it first ", another member said but Anna couldn't remember his name.
"Well, I am telling you right now. It was not something that I had planned to do but then my accident happened. It would be better if there was someone else representing the company while am in recovery ", Vincenzo said.
He wasn't sure that the plan his father had was even going to work. How was he going to convince the board members to accept Anna as their CEO?
Someone that they did not even know. Someone who had zero experience in the business world.
Would they believe that they were just supposed to trust her because Vincenzo said so?
"Who is to be the new CEO ?", Ahmed asked.
"My wife Anna ", Vincenzo said and Ahmed chuckled as she looked at Anna.
He could tell that she wasn't that old. He wondered how crazy Vincenzo was to put someone like that as their CEO.
"You have to have completely lost your mind. So what if she gets to be CEO because she sleeps with you ?", Ahmed said and Anna could hear the gasps some of the members made.
"You will not disrespect my wife like that. I did not give her this position because she is my wife. I know she can handle it. She has been working for me and handling deals for me in Mexico and has secured new clients for us without my help at all", Vincenzo said and Anna turned and wondered if he knew what she had done.
Was he pissed at her?
"Just because she got one deal doesn't mean that she can handle the whole company. You're putting the faith of the company in one success ", Ahmed said.
"Business takes luck, you to know your business, the people you work with, listen to your clients, and know how you can change things to make them for the better. She has all that. I couldn't just leave the company in the hands of someone I don't trust ", Vincenzo said and Anna could tell that he meant it.
"I want you all to participate in this. You're much a part of this company as I am so I don't want to make any decisions before talking to you. I am appointing her as the new CEO ", Vincenzo said.
"I will need you all to vote so that this can be as fair as possible . I won't force any of you to accept her to accept her if you don't want that .Those who support my decision could you please raise your hands ",Vincenzo said as the board members raised there hands .
Anna counted the people who had raised their hands and out if the ten board members right were supporting him.
"Those who don't support my decision to raise their hands ",Vincenzo said as the secretary wrote down whatever was being said .
"It looks like we're going to proceed with this ",Vincenzo said and Anna didn't know if to be excited or be a little scared .
It had all turned out true . She had all the responsibilities on her shoulder and she didn't know if she was going to do everything the way it was supposed to be done .
She didn't want to fail herself .
