29 An Old Friendship

Evan left the room without saying a word after his long shower. Chloe knew that kind of relationship would not be easy for both of them but she didn’t understand why he couldn’t let Jill go.

Jill was like a ghost, always hunting them in their best moments.

Chloe went to the bathroom, took an invigorating shower and thought about how she would act with Evan from that moment on. She needed to know if he felt at least attraction to her. If he desired her as much as she desired him.

Determined to provoke him, Chloe finished her shower and chose a beautiful long, low-cut red dress that highlighted her white skin. The weather was pleasant that night, which favored her choice.

When Chloe went downstairs, she heard a well-known male voice coming from the backyard and she could not believe when she saw Ryan standing in front her, with a beer in hand and a wide smile.

“Ryan!” Chloe hugged him.
