62 Get Well Soon

At Wang's mansion..

Wang came back from his gym at the exact time at which he does so.. daily. He is greeted by his driver, Robin.

"Good morning, Mr Wang," greeted Robin.

"Good morning, Robin," smiled Wang as he continued to walk inside his mansion.

"Excuse me, Mr. Wang," Robin spoke again. "Your personal assistant has not arrived yet. Do you want me to order the breakfast from the restaurant?" Robin asked. "I'm not sure.. if she is going to come now. And even if she does.. she would not be able to prepare the breakfast on time," continued Robin.

"Hmm.. No, don't order it yet," replied Wang as he went inside the mansion.

Wang went to his bedroom and picked up his mobile to check for any messages. He saw Lina's message on his Whatsapp.

Respected Mr. Wang,

My grandmother is not keeping well. She had to be admitted to the hospital today, so I would be needing a leave. There is no one else to look after her. I understand that I am asking for a leave at a moment when the office needs me, but I hope you will understand the kind of urgency I have.

Wang thought for a few seconds and then went to his washroom to freshen up. Half an hour later, he walked out of his mansion.. fully ready for his office. He walked towards his car, as Robin opened up the car's door for his boss.

"Ahmm! Robin, take me to the nearest market," ordered Wang.

"M.. market? As you say, Mr. Wang" replied the driver, as he started the engine and began to drive towards the nearest market.

A few minutes later, the car stopped. Wang stepped out of the car and walked inside the nearest coffee shop. He had a cup of coffee with a few sandwiches.

As Wang sat in the restaurant, he looked at the outside view from its window. There were many florists' shops in the same market. A thought rose in his mind. He finished his breakfast and walked across the market.. towards the florists.

Glancing at his watch, Wang realized that he was about to be late for his office. He hurriedly surveyed the block and spotted the best flower shop inside the market. He entered the store and searched for the best bouquet... from the entire collection. And there it was; a bouquet of roses, stargazer lilies and snapdragons, surrounded by the perfect greens and other trimmings.

"I would like to buy this one.." demanded Wang. "Please attach a 'Get Well Soon' message card on the bouquet," he continued.

Wang bought the bouquet and rushed out to get back to his car.

"Robin, to the office please," ordered Wang.

"Yes sir!" replied the driver as he restarted the vehicle's engine.

After a few minutes of drive, they reached Wang Fashion House.

Wang hesitated a little.. and then turned his face towards his driver. "Robin, I received a Whatsapp message from Lina. Her grandmother is not feeling well. That is why Lina has asked for a leave," shared Wang. "After I go to my office, you have a small task to do. Go to the human resource department, and tell the in-charge to give you Lina's profile. Note down Lina's address from there. Then, get this bouquet delivered to her house.. on my behalf. If her grandmother is at home.. tell her that I am hoping for her speedy recovery," continued Wang.

"Sure, sir," smiled Robin as he stepped out of the car to open the vehicle's door for the CEO.

Wang stepped out and walked into the building's lobby.

Robin stood there... as he watched his boss walking into the massive building. He tried to control himself from smiling.. so as to avoid expressing his surprise at what had just happened.
