46 Did Wang recognize Lina?

Lina's eyes were wide open in surprise. Her brain reminded her of the entire incident at the Savoy's Kitchen. The gap in between her jaw and the head further increased as she remembered the ten second kiss.

Wang stood before her, wearing just his shorts, as he looked at Lina with great attention. He scratched the back of his head and decided to break the silence. "Ahmm! Good Morning," greeted Wang with a confused look on his face. "Are you the new personal assistant?" asked Wang.

"Y.. yes. I am the new personal assistant, but you.. errr.. y.. you?" stammered Lina.

"I'm.. what?" asked Wang.

"Y.. you..?" Lina stammered again, too scared and shocked to utter out anything.

"I'm sorry. I'm.. what?" Wang asked again.

Lina looked at Wang's perfectly chiseled body from top to down. "Y.. you are naked," she shouted in surprise.

"Ohh! Sorry about that. I'll get dressed and then come back," replied Wang, as he turned his back towards Lina and began to walk back to his room.

Lina stood stunned in the kitchen with her eyes wide open and her hand on her forehead. She wasn't sure if Wang had recognized her or not. Maybe, due the drastic transformation she had been through, Wang had failed to recognize her. But, she could not waste anymore time on thinking about this. She had to prepare the breakfast for her new boss.

Lina set everything on the tray and placed in on the dining table. Within no time, Wang was back, completely ready for his office now.

Wang sat on his seat and had a look at the breakfast laid before him. "You need not have come so early.. this is the first day of your job. I understand that employees take time to feel comfortable at the new working place," expressed Wang as gave Lina a sidelong glance and soon turned his attention back to the breakfast table.

Lina was too shocked to speak anything. She stood near to the dining table, waiting for him to start his breakfast. She couldn't afford to loose this job and she wasn't sure if Wang had recognized her or not. Her thoughts were soon interrupted by Wang's words.

"How did you know about my meal plan? Who told you all this..?" asked Wang as he looked at Lina and then at his breakfast plate.

Lina was silent for a few seconds. She dare not tell anything about Aunt Ning, else the entire plan would fail. She wasn't prepared for any of Wang's questions. "Err.. she told me.." Lina mumbled.

"Sorry, I couldn't hear you. Who told you?" asked Wang again.

Lina was scared, her breathing got heavier and her eyes wide open. "Ahmm! Sh.. she told me." stammered Lina.

"She... who? Ohh! You mean my ex-personal assistant, Stacy?" asked Wang as he observed Lina who looked very pale now, as if she has seen a ghost.

"Yes! Yes! It was her! Stacy! That was the name," Lina sighed and gave a forceful smile so as to make Wang believe in the lie. "Your ex-personal assistant told me. How could I forget her name? She is so talkative and ended up telling me everything. Haha!" laughed Lina, trying to lighten up the situation.

Her laugh soon vanished away, as Wang looked at her with his raised eyebrows, as he expressed his surprise at her answer, but decided to say nothing more for the moment. He began to have his breakfast, as Lina stood near to the dining table.

Lina could observe that Wang was clearly not convinced, and she decided to give it another try. "I've refilled your water bottle with distilled water, and have kept it in your bag. And, coffee has been made as per your taste. Stacy told me all this. No other person told me this," maintained Lina. A few seconds of thoughts made her regret saying the last sentence.

"You prepared breakfast well, but could not prepare yourself," said Wang as he began to play word games with Lina. He wanted Lina to express what she's hiding in her mind.

Lina was too straightforward to understand his words. "Prepare myself? Ohh! You mean preparing a breakfast for myself? No! No! I don't have breakfast at such early hours. I am usually asleep at this time," chortled Lina. Again, a few seconds of thought made her regret saying the last sentence. She knew that the situation was getting out of hand. "Ahmm! If it is fine with you, can I wait for you in the car?" trembled Lina.

"Ok! Thank you for the breakfast. You may go and wait for me in the car. I'll be there soon," ordered Wang.

Lina walked cautiously towards the main door. Wang had his back towards her, and so she decided to walk along the lobby's wall so as to prevent any fall due to her high-heels. Thanks to this decision of hers, she almost stumbled but prevented a fall by supporting her body against the wall. The awkward sound that her high-heels made, as she stumbled, confused Wang and he turned his face towards Lina. Lina was scared immediately, she smiled and fastened her pace and soon exited the mansion.

"God! What is happening?" wondered Wang as he continued with his breakfast.
