It was bad for me to tell my grandmother not to come with me, but I couldn't let her come with me because I was either going back to a $100,000 bill or to a heartless husband.

Evening came so soon, and my younger cousins didn't come back. Granny said they went on vacation, and the only person around was Tasha.

And since Tasha and I always shared a bedroom, I walked to her bedroom and found it was in a complete mess.

So I decided to tidy up the room, and that's when I received a call from Natalie.

"Yes," I said in a tired tone before sitting on the bed.

"How are you doing? Now that I am all ears, what did Mr. Bennett do for you to run away?" she asked, and I filled my lungs with air before explaining how he humiliated Jenna at the party and also how he ruined Lara Russo's life.

"You think he married you to avenge Jenna Bennett?" she asked, and I agreed.
