73 73 Why Is She Cute?
Yun Xixi knocked on October's office door and entered after getting permission from October. As soon as she entered, she was immediately greeted by a stunning figure standing straight by the window with a back facing her, "Director, a person is asking for you."
Yun Xixi was then reminded of the scene they had witnessed outside of their building on that rainy night. It was so surreal and beautiful. Even if they did not see the man's face, they can still tell that the man was handsome.
Was that man the notorious CEO of Heaven Company, Lexus Song? Was he the one that fetched her that rainy night?
Yun Xixi's eyes sparkled with excitement and expectation. However, as soon as she was just starting to be so happy about it, her smile stiffened when she remembered that the man was rumored to be a cold and ruthless man. It was also said that the man was so indifferent about women and would not bat his eye and turn a second look on all of the beauties that have literally thrown themselves at him.
Yun Xixi stared intently at her boss who slowly turned to look at her with a calm and quiet look as if she was looking at the people and her surroundings in a small box, just observing the noise and bustles of people as if she was an outsider.
"Who was looking for me?" October asked, seemingly apathetic about it. At this time, she was only thinking about Lexus and when will he pick her up.
Silence.
October looked at her secretary who did not answer her at all and was just staring at her without blinking with her tiny pink lips slightly parted. Tilting her head, October called, "Xixi?"
Yun Xixi blinked her eyes furiously as she returned to reality. Xixi was mesmerized by her boss yet was again caught by her. She was extremely embarrassed and her face immediately flushed red.
"Who was looking for me, Xixi?" October asked again patiently.
"Ah. He said he was Assistant Yu and that he came to pick you up." Yun Xixi replied. Who was this Assistant Yu again? She wondered but remained her focus on October.
October's eyes flashed with discontent in a split second. She then walked to her table and gathered her things calmly and said, "I will be leaving now. You can also go home, Xixi."
"Oh." Yun Xixi became suspicious at October's unusual actions. Although her boss seemed calm, her actions doesn't show it for she was fast in her movements and in mere seconds, she was already by the door with her things on hand. "Okay."
Yun Xixi can only see her boss' figure getting further and further and quickly arrived at the elevator. After that, she went in it and the face she made only made Yun Xixi more curious.
Before she knew it, her boss was gone. Yun Xixi was left dumbfounded. She then went to her table and grabbed her things to try and catch up with her boss.
Yun Xixi knew that she definitely saw her boss made a frown on her face but it was not of coldness, it was of softness instead.
She has to see that look again. She needs to confirm something. Also, she was curious of who this Assistant Yu really was and who was he to her boss that he can elicit her such expression on her stone-faced boss?
Yun Xixi literally run toward the elevator to follow October. Using the normal elevator, she hurriedly pressed on the ground floor button while her face flushed red. At this time, she was feeling excited, elated and curious. These feelings mixed together to the point of making her flash a grin and bright eyes. She hoped that the elevator can go faster to catch up with her boss.
After waiting for like a lifetime, the elevator door finally opened. Yun Xixi darted out of there and frantically wandered her eyes around the huge lobby. Her eyes didn't rest until she saw her boss' familiar figure walking toward the office's door and by the door stood a handsome man that looked somewhat timid but had an air of righteousness and his eyes had a clever glimmer in it.
This was the same man who went to their office before. Yun Xixi looked at him curiously.
Assistant Yu felt a gaze on him and intinctively turned his head toward its direction. There, he saw a cute girl dressed formally. She was looking at him curiously with her big dark eyes. Her face was currently flushed making her look pretty and cute at the same time.
He immediately recognized her. She was the secretary who adores her young madam named Yun Xixi. With that, he flash him a smile and politely bowed his head at her before followed to exit his young madam.
Assistant Yu's gesture was supposed to be just for formality; however, he did not know that his sudden kind smile made Yun Xixi dazzled by it and her heart fluttered. Without waiting for long, her face became even more redder.
What the heck was that?! Yun Xixi blinked her eyes and placed a hand on her chest. She can feel the rapid beating of heart.
Meanwhile, October went inside the car with the help of Assistant Yu. She thought that Lexus was not there but then she saw him sitting coldly in the car while looking at her with his piercing blue eyes.
October looked away and silently sat on her corner. Right now, she was feeling a little conflicted. She was happy that he went to get her but at the same time, she was not. She was somewhat upset that he was not the who went up to get here there. However, she also knew that if he did that, then her quiet life will be disrupted. Unknowingly, the hands rested on her lap clenched tightly as if to show her conflicted thoughts and frustration.
Lexus noticed that something was off with October ever since she got on the car. Inching himself to her and wrap his arm around shoulder, he pulled her to him and leaned to whisper, "What's wrong?"
October immediately felt her heart pounding loudly in her chest. She then pursed her lips and turned away from him.
Lexus raised his elegant eyebrow at her. What is this? Why is she acting like this? Why is she so cute? This was something that he couldn't understand.
"My dear wife, I won't know what's the problem if you wouldn't tell me about it." Lexus said tenderly as he grabbed her small hand kissed it gently.
Almost instantly, he felt her flinch in his arms. His eyes darkened and pressed on, "Tell me."
"It's nothing." October said and turned to look at him, looking so calm and poised, as if she was unconcerned about everything. Unfortunately, the one she was with was her husband that has a very keen eye especially if it involves his wife.
"I don't think that it's nothing." Lexus flatly pointed out. However, since his wife doesn't want to talk about it, he did not force her.
After that, the car ride was silent. Assistant Yu noticed this chose to keep silent. He was not someone who can just go and interfere with their marital life.
After half an hour, the car finally pulled up in front of a restaurant. The restaurant may look a bit eye-catching but once inside, one can definitely say that it was high class. This was a restuarant for people who wanted to dine in luxury while keeping their profile low.
They were immediately assisted by the staff and was then escorted toward a private room. Upon opening, October's eyes immediately locked with a pair of wisened eyes in which October was all too familiar with.
October almost run up to He Tian and slammed into his embrace. "Grandpa."
Grandpa He was surprised to see October jump into him but then laughed quite delightedly at the sudden action of October. He was not expecting this at all.
"My, you seemed doing just fine."
"Mastee, young miss, please sit down first." Assistant Ke said as he reminded the two. After seeing that they did as he said, he then turned to Lexus and blankly said, "You too, Young Master Song, please take a sit."
Lexus was coldly looking at the reunion of October and He Tian and couldn't help but feel jealous. He felt bitter seeing that he was immediately forgotten by October as soon as she saw her grandpa.
Without nothing else to do, he then went to October and nonchalantly sat right beside her.
There were still a lot of chairs available around the table. October looked at it for a while before turning to ask her Grandpa who was also sitting beside her.
"Are we still waiting for someone else?" She asked.
"Yes." Grandpa He immediately replied as he made himself comfortable on his seat.
October nodded in understanding. She then felt her hand being grabbed and looked down to only see that Lexus was securely holding her hand.
After a while, the door was opened from outside and soon 2 people went inside.
October looked at the two curiously while Grandpa He just looked at them calmly. However, as soon as Lexus realized who they were, his head instantly ached.
