This same words kept on echoing in her ears. October's mind went blank because of this explosive statement that Lexus suddenly dropped on her. As his deep and cold voice lingering in her hear while saying such words made her face instantly burned.

Lexus laughed delighted. Ahh...he really wants to see her so bad right now. What kind of face is she wearing? Imagining her cute red face, a mischievous smile spread on his devilishly handsome face.

Assistant Yu sighed at how shameless his young master have become. Despite being like this, his young master who should be warm and approachable has become more dangerously eerie and sinister. Especially that smile he was wearing right now. It was so crafty and creepy that it was giving him chills down to his spine.

But then again, who said his young master was normal? Apparently, no one or that person has yet to be born in this world.

Assistant Yu sighed again as he looked at his young master with a helpless look on his face. It was a sigh that has already given up on the hope of having a smooth life.

As Assistant Yu stood on the side, he received a silent gaze from Lexus as he has expected. Noticing this, he bowed his head in acknowledgement and went out of the door, not forgetting to silently close it. There was no need for his young master to speak for he already knows what he wanted him to do.

"Stop teasing me." October said after she calmed down. Just that, no matter how she seemed so calm on the outside, her heart is another story. She has to adjust herself several times on her seat because she felt so jittery.

What is happening to her? Why is she acting like this?

Even though she was really skeptical, October still had a clear mind to think things through. With this, she went to ask him directly, "Is there something you wanted to talk about?"

"Why? Don't you want to talk to me?" Lexus frowned.

Hearing his voice that seemed upset, October quickly followed up while shaking her head, "No, it's not like that." Saying this, October looked down and pursed her lips into a fine line.

It was not that she doesn't like it, it's just that she was not expecting his call. What's more awkward though was that it was in their company telephone. But then again, they were not able to exchange their contacts in the first place even though they were already...married. Ehem.

Which was why they are in their current situation so she really can't complain now.

"Give me your phone number. I'll save it." October suggested with a calm voice but her eyes gave her away as a flash of embarrassment passed by it for a moment.

"..."

October frowned as her blush deepened. Was she too straightforward?

While wondering about it, she suddenly heard a deep laugh on the other end of the phone making her shudder and purse her lips in embarrassment. Seriously, is there a need to laugh?

"Okay. It's 00-XXX-XXXX-XXXX." Lexus replied with a smug look on his face. He was really caught off guard. He didn't know that his wife can be too straightforward like this. But he liked it.

"Okay." October immediately saved his number on her phone and said, "I'm hanging up."

"Wai--" Lexus was too late to react as he already heard the the phone being dropped. His handsome face turned dark as he squinted his eyes on the telephone he was holding on his hand. He can't believe that someone just dropped the call like that to him when he was always the one who does it. No one had ever had the guts to do it to him but now, he just experienced it bitterly and it was even his wife.

Slamming the telephone on the table almost to the point of breaking it, his phone suddenly rang. His burning eyes snapped to its direction and snatched it to answer with a really loud and angry voice. "What?!"

He was beyond himself. He was so irritated. What was that all about? They were still talking normally but then just ended it all of a sudden. Did he do something wrong?

"Uh--" October stammered when she heard the angry voice of Lexus. "Sorry. I didn't mean to call you right away."

Lexus, having to hear October's melodious voice tinged with nervousness, was frozen for a moment before recovering. "No, I thought it was someone else."

"Mm." October lowered her eyes as she blankly looked at her table piled with tons of reports and documents. Before, when seeing these papers, she would immediately dive into it and work nonstop. But now, as she talked to Lexus like this, she was not at all in the mood to look at it, much less read it.

October shook her head as she quickly dismissed her thoughts. This thinking wasn't like her. She needs to think clearly.

"As I've said before, I am going to pick you up later." Lexus leaned on his chair comfortably with a grin on his face and sparkling eyes. "Also, I sent my assistant there to get something from you."

After saying that, October's telephone rang. She pressed the answer button and asked, "What is it, Xixi?

"Director, someone's looking for you. He said his name is Yu Xi."

October paused and turned to the phone on her hand, "Assistant Yu?"

"Yeah." Lexus replied.

"Send him in." October said to her secretary before ending the call.

"I'll see you later."

"Mm." October ended the call and looked at her phone for a moment before putting it on the side of her table.

A while later, a knock was heard on her door and Yun Xixi came in while respectfully saying, "Director, Sir Yu Xi is here."

"Let him in." October nodded as she straightened herself up on her chair, looking calm and confident as she usually do as if the her a while ago was an illusion.

With that, Yu Xi came in and gave a respectful bow toward October.

Yun Xixi silently closed the door but not before hearing him say, "Young madam."

Yun Xixi's ears perked at this. Young madam? Why did he call him young madam? Is he a butler of her boss' family? But isn't that kind of address for a married lady? Her boss is still single so shouldn't he call her young miss?

Even though Yun Xixi was so curious and wanted to press her ear on the door to eavesdrop, she held herself up in order to avoid the possibility of angering her boss in case she'll get to know of it. With this, she begrudgingly went back to her table and sat while looking at the closed door of her boss' office.

Meanwhile, in October's office...

"Young madam." Assistant Yu greeted respectfully toward the woman sitting in front of him. "I have come as per my young master's order."

"Mm." October curtly replied as she still seemed as indifferent as ever.

"I would like to get your keys in your apartment, young madam." He said. He looked closely at October's face waiting for any reaction, but he didin't see anything at all.

Is it really just his young master that can make Ms Park show some emotions?

"Okay." October nodded her head as she went to get her keys and card on her apartment before placing it on the table.

"Thank you, young madam." Assistant Yu went up to get the items. "Well then, if you'll excuse me. Have a good day, young madam."

Young madam this, young madam that. October still can't get used to this kind of address to her. Still her face remained expressionless as she nodded.

October saw Assistant Yu closed the door behind him and her room was silent yet again. She then drank her coffee as if to reset her thinking and focused on her work for the day. She wants to finish her work immediately and go home to rest.
