26 26 Burn It Down

October snapped into reality when she heard Elise. She blinked her eyes and saw they were really already on the parking lot in front of the hospital. She then heard the shutting of the door as Elise got out of her car. 'I really need to get a grip of myself. I need to forget him for he...already forgot about me.'

October thought but something in her felt like getting torn apart as soon as she said it. She pursed her lips and tried her best to make herself go numb. He was already out of her life. She can now turn back to her old life...her monotonous life.

Opening the door, October stepped out of the car. Both of them went into the hospital. They got an appointment and waited a couple of minutes till it was already October's turn.

They then entered into the doctor's room and sat on the chairs in front of the table of the doctor.

"So, who's my patient?" The middle-aged male doctor asked as he continued to scan through the details provided to him by the hospital's system.

"I am, doctor." October replied without any ripple on her silent eyes as she looked at the doctor in front of her.

"Ah. Hmm..." The doctor let out a sound as if he just remembered something but didn't continue to say it. "Please, let me know your situation so I can assess it for you."

"Well--"

"Doctor, she was always nauseous these past few days and she threw up today." Elise replied in a hurry, even cutting off the words that October wanted to say.

"Mhm. And then?" The doctor nodded for them to continue and wrote some notes in his paper.

Elise looked at October, giving October a signal for her to continue.

"I also get irritated almost instantly and my sense of smell seemed to be so sensitive these days, always giving me headaches." October said and noticed the doctor with a raised brow and thoughtfully looked at her.

The doctor then went to dial his telephone. Moments later, a nurse went in and got October's blood to run some tests as per the doctor's request.

After that, the doctor continued to examine October's pulse and asked a few more questions. "Do you also have any other unusual concerns aside from your heightened sense of smell?"

October thought for a moment before answering, "I feel like I want to sleep more and my breasts are swelling."

Elise looked at October with silent eyes but didn't say anything. However, October noticed it yet didn't turn to her and answer her inquiring eyes.

"Mhm. When was your last menstruation?" The doctor asked, not the least bit feeling awkward at his own question and October didn't seem to mind it; on the other hand, Elise was a little flustered at his question.

"Last month." October replied.

"Okay. So you didn't have your menstruation yet this month. Did you have any cramps in your body? Pain in your abdomen?"

"No, doctor." October shook her head.

"Doctor, is it food poisoning?" Elise asked the doctor with a worried look on her face.

"No, I don't believe so. Her pulse is normal yet not. I say this for her pulse is pulsating normally but I still have a speculation that needs to be confirmed first." The doctor replied with a soft smile on his face and he leaned on his chair.

The three of them talked for a couple of minutes until they heard a knock on the door and came in the same nurse that drew some blood from October. On her hand was a piece of paper with the result of the blood test. She then went to hand it over to the doctor and then bowed to leave.

The doctor looked at the paper and read it for a moment before putting it down on his table and looked October with a big bright smile on his face.

Lexus adjusted his sunglasses and paused for a moment on the opened door of his private plane. As bright and hot the sun above him, it was as dark and cold his atmosphere was.

"Young master, welcome back." A group of men in black suit lined up on both sides of the stairs below. They look so strong and stoic for that was what they were trained for, to protect and fight for their master.

"Mm." Lexus coldly replied as he climbed down the stairs. At the end of the lined-up men, there was a black car waiting for him and beside it stood Assistant Yu who was currently talking on the phone.

Exuding a very cold and dangerous vibe, Lexus walked toward the car with his hands tucked inside his pockets while his men bowed to him as he passed by them.

Although they were trained hard till they cry with blood and are dangerous themselves, they still can't stop their bodies from breaking out in cold sweat due to their well-developed survival instincts. They were strong but their young master was more fiercer nad stronger than them, almost like a monster.

Lexus' face was not that exposed; however, it was still clear for others that he was in a very bad mood. Right now, all they could do was to not make any obvious mistakes and breath out loud in the presence of their master for they were so afraid that he would explode and lash out his bottled up anger onto them. If that would really happen, they would at least lose a hand.

Lexus leisurely but coldly walked and eventually stopped in front of the opened door of his car. Assistant Yu stopped and put away his phone as he bowed down in greeting to his young master, "Welcome back, young master."

Lexus took off his sunglasses and handed it to his assistant before climbing in to the car, "Mm."

Assistant Yu closed the door and get into the passenger seat himself. He then sent a message on the person who he just talked to on the phone a while ago. After that, he put it into his pocket.

All three men in the car, Lexus, Assistant Yu, and the driver, were silent as they maneuvered their way into Lexus' villa.

However silent they were as if they were calm, Assistant Yu on the other hand was sweating profusely due to the news he got from the men his young master have tasked to tail and protect Miss Park. He was reluctant to say it to his young master and he also does not know how to start it. Wiping his sweat off his face, he glanced at Lexus through the rear view mirror with his heart beating in nervousness.

Lexus noticed the eyes that were staring intently at him and said with a frown on his handsome face, "If you have anything to say to me, just say it."

Assistant Yu felt like his heart stopped when he heard his young master's cold voice. It was not surprising to him that his young master noticed his glances.

Adjusting his collar that was mysteriously tight around his neck, Assistant Yu cleared his throat and looked at the rear view mirror to find that Lexus was also staring back at him. Although reluctant, he was also aware that there will be a terrible punishment if he will delay this news.

"Young master, I just received some piece of news regarding Miss Park from the people that you have dispatched to protect her." Assistant Yu started and, jist as he predictee, his boss' attention were on full alert as soon as he heard her name.

"The thing is...something unexpected happened." Assistant Yu's sweat turned cold almost forming into ice due to the coldness that his boss was releasing at he back. Even though he doesn't want to continue his report, he has to do it for there was no one else who can do it for him. Being his young master's assistant really was hard.

"It seems that Miss Park went to Blue Gale Restaurant with her friend but during their meal, Miss Park suddenly stopped eating and run toward the ladies room. It seems that she threw up. Currently, they are in the hospital to get Miss Park a...check...up." Assistant Yu almost couldn't finish what he was saying because of the coldness and the suffocating air in the car.

Assistant Yu was scared right now for he really doesn't know of what his young master will do after hearing that something bad happened to his woman. He can even hear the cracking of joints on Lexus' hands due to how strong he was clenching his closed fists to.

Suddenly, a hair-rising laugh errupted inside the car amd after that came a very silent yet deadly voice that have climbed out from hell, "Good. They dare touch my wife, they have to pay. Xi, call our men and burn that place down."
