13 13 Flowers

October woke up with the scent of flowers floating in the air. As she slowly opened her eyes, she was greeted with the flowers in a vase she randomly arranged and put on her bedside table last night. She looked at it for a while until her alarm went off, making her snap out of her daze. She groggily sat up and stifled a yawn and then took one last glance of the flowers before starting her daily routine.

It wasn't long till she got herself ready and went to work. And just like usual, she walked to the building and was greeted with the employees.

After having a quick breakfast, she immediately immersed herself in her work with a cup of hot coffee beside her, taking a sip of it from time to time.

While typing a report on her laptop, a knock on the door was heard followed by Yun Xixi's melodious voice accompanied by a giggle, "Director, there's another delivery for you."

"Okay, just send it in." October nonchalantly said and when she heard footsteps getting closer, she took a fleeting glance at her secretary but that glance made her fingers froze in place immediately. October's heart leapt up her throat and her mind stopped working for a moment.

On Yun Xixi's hands was a bouquet of flowers, fresh and beautifully arranged. It was a different kind of flowers than yesterday but also equally beautiful and fragrant.

Yun Xixi, with a teasing smile on her face, handed the bouquet to her boss who froze in place and stared unblinkingly at the flowers on her hand. She was happy to see such a reaction from her boss. She still looked calm but this reaction was already unlike the usual. Yun Xixi thought that her boss also have times like this.

"Director, these flowers were delivered for you." Yun Xixi said, excitement clear on her voice. She was really curious who was the sender of these flowers.

October blinked her eyes a few times before reaching out to receive the flowers from Yun Xixi. She was really dumbfounded by this for she really didn't expect this to happen again. She alarmingly looked at Yun Xixi and felt relieved that there was nothing else like another jewelry aside from the flowers. "Did they say who sent these?"

"No. The man who delivered the flowers didn't say who sent it. The only notable thing about him is that he wears a business suit. That's the only thing the receptionist told me." Yun Xixi replied while tilting her head.

"Thanks." She coolly said, with her attention completely back on to the flowers on her hand.

Yun Xixi smiled and happily walked out of the office. She was also happy that the picture of her boss she posted on the company's page was gaining a lot of attention and praises from the employees. She has a lot of followers in there and was always posting praises about her boss and stolen pictures of her. Knowing her boss who was always aloof and unconcerned of such things makes Yun Xixi think that it was her duty to spread the Director's unique allure. But, of course, she'll only post on the company's page.

October, on the other hand, was skeptic of why she received another bouquet when she already received one yesterday. It hasn't wilted yet and now she received new flowers. But thinking about it, it really isn't bothering her and so decided that she'll put these flowers in her living room.

A week passed and not a single day missed where October didn't receive a bouquet of flowers delivered early in the morning. Her apartment was already filled with flowers. Her brow raised as she didn't think that such a thing would happen to her. She also knew that with this kind of thing happening to her, it will eventually arrive at the ears of others. Although knowing that, she just shrugged it off and remained unconcerned.

In spite of the fact that she was unconcerned with it, the employees of the company, especially her loyal secretary, were happily chatting about it. They were really curious of who this person was. Was he their Ice Director's suitor? Boyfriend? A secret lover, perhaps? It can't be a friend since such gesture was really showing interest to their director in a romantic way. So who could it be?

Employees were discussing it excitedly during breaks and they even created forums. But all they could do is just guess and let their wildest imagination get the best of them. They even think that the lover of their director was a girl.

However, the main culprit of this silent chaos was still pondering on what to do next.

Lexus was looking at the picture of flowers that Assistant Yu showed to him. He was glaring at it so hard as if he was planning to murder someone especially with the atmosphere he was releasing in the room making all of his employees to shiver in place and was trying to lessen their presence as much as possible.

Lexus was having a meeting with his directors when he just suddenly remembered something and called over Assistant Yu who was sitting behind him. The director that was stopped midway during his report sweated a lot and nervously looked at his boss. He thought that maybe he made a mistake with his report. He was thinking of how he'll explain to his family that he got fired.

When Assistant Yu was called over suddenly, he glanced at the director who was about to cry as he stood awkwardly in front of his boss. He was also curious as to what this master of his want right now. Can't he see that his director is about to collapse from nervousness? He thought that it was so urgent but after listening what his concern was, Assistant Yu found himself getting dumb and deaf.

Assistant Yu looked at his young master and then to all of the directors in the room who cast him an inquiring and curious gazes. Even if they looked at him like that, he can't tell him that their CEO was currently chasing his "wife." He sighed and pulled out his phone and showed pictures after pictures of flowers that was currently popular with women in the city. While doing this, he wondered of where in the world did this young master of his get the idea of giving flowers to a woman.

Glinting with a very dangerous air, Lexus was frustrated as to what to give that woman next. From the investigation he got about her, it seems like she was an outstanding student but doesn't want to stand out much in the crowd. She was also popular in school and was labeled as the school's belle. He also knows that the woman doesn't show much interest with anything and just shows her usual calm and cool demeanor.

Lexus remembered how his woman's face turned red and glared at him with her green eyes really makes him happy. He felt good and proud to make that stone-faced woman showed him such a face. It just means that that woman only shows her emotions in front of him. He was looking forward as to what other emotions will his woman show him next time they meet.

While he was immersed in his own world, the directors didn't dare disturb for they know all too well what will happen to them if they do. With that, when they saw the dark smile on that handsome face of his as if it was carved by the gods themselves made all of their hairs rise on ends, their blood run cold, and their bodies shivered. They looked at him warily and somehow felt pity to the person who got this great ancestor's attention. They wondered of who could this person be to let their boss scheme at them with such a dark smile.
