There was this big smile on Jiuwen's face, she was standing beside Zhaolin's table as she watched Xueyan look around the office. "Brother Zhaolin's taste is quite impressive, isn't it?" 

The couches were in cream colour, the tables came in caramel colour but the table holding on to his personal computer was covered in marble. Xueyan traced her fingers on the smooth surface.

"Truly impressive," Xueyan said. Her high heels clicked against the tiled floor.

The door opened and Zhaolin strode in.

Jiuwen immediately excused herself while flashing Xueyan a bright smile.

Once out of the door, she wished she never left. She should have stayed behind to know how Zhaolin failed in wooing Xueyan.

Zhaolin went to sit on his armchair. Her back was facing him. He thought he was seeing things. How can she suddenly appear in his office? "Xue," the soft call of her name made Xueyan go stiff.
