58 Working hard for our eternal love Part3

"Hello, my dear. I heard that you were working pretty hard these days. Trying to start a company, I see?" Shi Meng smugly scoffed.

Su Lin furrowed her brows and tilted her head to look at the owner of that hateful voice.

"Why, shouldn't I?" She raised her eyes and mockingly asked.

"Just do you know, majoring in drama and theatrics is easier than managing a company. Heh. Are you sure someone like you is cut out for this?"

Yin Yue standing next to him chuckled and added to her boss's insight.

"Please, Miss Su Lin. Don't bring down the Su family's name." She played with her beautifully curled hair strands and smiled.

Su Lin glared at the conceited duo. She had always hated a man looking down on her and belittling her.

But she didn't want to ruin their mood.

So Su Lin ignored the jerks and tried to go around them, but Shi Meng reached out his hand and held her arm without letting go.

"What are you doing?" Su Lin dangerously raised her eyes.

She was going to wait to deal with this pest, but he seemed very adamant about seeking death and had even dared to forcefully hold her arm today… in public.

"Enjoy your dinner. Very soon, I will close all your exits. So don't even think for a second that this high life will last for long, my dearest ex."

His lips curled upwards into an ugly sneer.

Su Lin shoved his hand aside and smiled.

"Don't worry hubby. I will work hard. After all, I am doing all this for the sake of our eternal love." She smirked and nonchalantly walked past the duo.

Reminding him about his helplessness to deal with her elaborate drama in front of Grandpa Su was the best slap she could give Shi Meng at least at the moment.

Shi Meng gritted his teeth in anger. He hated watching her walk away in high spirits.

The woman was thoroughly taking advantage of Grandpa Su's gullibility. He needed to do something about this.

The minute he does, it should be game over for this little run and catch they were playing.

Yin Yue standing next to him glared at Su Lin as well.

She had always thought that Su Lin was a headless chicken and was amused to see her actually open a company.

Unlike Shi Meng, she was not anxious to scheme or plot anything.

All she had to do was wait and watch, and Su Lin will stumble and fall, all by herself, being the tiniest fish in the ocean.

Ignoring the sour faces they had just seen, Su Lin and Runyan had an extravagant dinner and soon headed back home for the day.

Mrs. Su, Su Han's mother, and her friends would be visiting the shop tomorrow and Su Lin wanted to rest early and mentally prepare herself for the next day.

She needed the time to adjust her mindset. Otherwise, while dealing with this bunch of high-class snobs, she was afraid that she might lose her temper and kill all of them in a matter of seconds.

The next day arrived and Su Lin excitedly prepared the batch of moisturizers she wanted the ladies to try.

This was a better version of the one she had presented Grandpa Su on his birthday, but it was not the best she had.

To Su Lin, this was the norm.

People from her world never traded the best goods.

Be it a heaven splitting sword or a mystic grade herb, all the uncommon and rare items were always hoarded and never sold.

Following the same principle, Su Lin's strategy right now was to just feel out the markets and see how this lower grade product compared to the existing ones.

Previously, Su Lin had painstakingly collected all the available brands of moisturizers and compared it with her product.

She was pleasantly surprised to find that hers was vastly superior to even the high-end ones.

So Su Lin was quite confident in the products she had prepared for this beginning trial phase of her company or rather her shop.

But she, unfortunately, failed to realize something important.

Even a small marginal improvement in a saturated product such as moisturizer was already a huge deal in the cosmetic industry!

And her improvement was by no means small or marginal!

Many companies would pay a huge sum to get their hands on even this crude unmodified formula.

Soon it was noon and she heard the unmistakable chattering and giggling voices nearby.

Five evenly plump middle-aged women entered the shop.

Among them, Su Lin only recognized Mrs. Han and her favorite ex-mother-in-law mama Meng.

Looking at her, Su Lin's face immediately changed. She had an inkling as to just how this encounter was going to go.

What Su Lin had expected once to be a productive day and was excitedly looking forward to, just took a turn for the worst.

All five ladies swaggered into the shop and greeted Su Lin in a very apparent artificial tone, full of arrogance.

A disgusting scent of multiple strong perfumes mixed together assaulted Su Lin's nose.

"Hmmm... So this is where you have run off to huh…" Mama Meng immediately started with a strong opening statement.

Not in a mood to argue with this group, Su Lin replied blankly, "Nope. Just walked over."

Annoyed that her insult was not conveyed properly, mama Meng lobbed over the next ball, "So what are you doing here? Opening a grocery store? Poor girl… Now that you are not mooching off of us, you actually have to do some work to survive huh… " She snidely commented.

Enjoying the show in front of them, whilst maintaining their attitude, the other ladies chuckled lightly.

Su Lin creased her brows and let out a long sigh... This was going to be a long day…
