39 When the devil sets his eyes on you... Part2

Su Lin along with Runyan hailed a cab and went over to the herbal farms after their breakfast.

The old man recognized Su Lin and instantly black lines covered his forehead. The ruckus she had created last time still lingered fresh in his mind.

The man's face only relaxed when Su Lin chuckled and explained the reason for her visit.

She gave him a list of herbs she needed and mentioned that she might be ordering those every month.

The old man wiped the sweat off his face and happily agreed to collaborate with her. The woman might be troublesome but money was still money.

Since several herbal medicinal facilities nowadays imported dried herbs, their business was not doing as well as expected.

The local herbalists acted high and mighty and refused to pay decent prices for the fresh herbs.

They were barely breaking even and hadn't seen a profit in years.

But Su Lin surprisingly didn't bargain with him and was quite satisfied with their original non-discounted prices.

So the old man readily accepted Su Lin's order list and was willing to do long-term business with her.

The herbs that they ordered would be delivered to them, later that day.

After chatting with for a few more minutes, finalizing the details, Su Lin and Runyan returned back home.

Su Lin was busily explaining Runyan about her idea for making a herbal moisturizer, as she opened the guest house's door with her keys.

But just as she turned the doorknob, Su Lin suddenly froze in the spot.

She sensed another human being present in the condominium and she was pretty sure who the culprit was.

"Damn you, Luther!" Su Lin cursed as she opened the door.

And just as she expected, a devilishly handsome thug innocently looked up from her couch, lazily yawning and stretching his limbs.

The man had no inkling of modesty and behaved as if he owned the place.

Runyan, who was more surprised than Su Lin, couldn't contain her curiosity and hurriedly asked. "Waah!! Lin Lin, you didn't tell me you already got a new ridiculously handsome boyfriend?!"

"Who said he is my boyfriend?" Su Lin angrily scoffed, but the man on the couch ignored her entirely and happily skipped over to Runyan.

"Hello, beautiful. I am indeed Lin Lin's new boyfriend. Nice to meet you. Thanks a lot for taking care of MY Lin Lin."

He sarcastically smirked and extended his hand to greet the 'best friend'.

Su Lin angrily glared at the jerk and swatted his hand away. "You... Why are you here?" She stuttered.

Something about the man made her feel very uncomfortable. The mere sight of him made her get flustered.

It was weird... It was as if he had the aura of a king... demanding her submission to him.

Her uneasiness only amused Luther more. He chuckled and took a few steps forward, inching closer to her.

"So, I thought a lot about our special conversation yesterday night." He murmured, with his face right next to hers, close enough for Su Lin to feel the warmth of his breath.

"What conversation?" Su Lin backed away, unable to remain in his proximity.

"The one... you know... after you pinned me down on the bed?" Luther smirked, winking at Runyan. The man was hell-bent on angering Su Lin.

"Enough with the nonsense." Growing more and more impatient by the second, Su Lin tapped her feet and asked. "And...?"

But Luther was determined to be shameless and was not in the least bothered about her anger. He leaned even more closer to her, softly touching his nose with hers.

"I am all yours."

"What??" Su Lin wanted to punch his face.

"My dear. Why are you making me confess so many times? I am all yours." He daringly planted a kiss on her cheeks and murmured in her ears.

Bam!

The next second, the poor handsome thug was unceremoniously tossed on the ground.

Su Lin was going crazy. No matter what she said, her words seem to completely go over his head.

She was trying her best to not harm the person she willingly saved, but this was too much. They argued in circles and came back to square one!

Su Lin had several plans in this world, but getting a boyfriend was definitely not one of those.

She decided that she had had enough of his nonsense.

She spared even the smallest niceties and glared at him with her cold gaze.

"If I had known that this would happen, I would have let you die back in the forest. Don't ever show your face in front of me again."

She pushed the man out the door and slammed the door shut on his face.

Luther stood outside the door with a pensive look on his face. The normal playful smirk and teasing demeanor were no longer visible on his impeccably handsome face.

For some reason, her words seemed to hurt him more than the wounds on his chest.
