23 Shiny and sparkly!

The next day Grandpa Su patiently sat down with Su Lin again and talked to her about her business proposal.

"Grandpa, I really think I can do this. Please trust me. These past two years in the Shi family, I have always felt left out and deserted."

"So to make him... to make him like me, I worked really hard and studied traditional medicine and herbal properties." Su Lin earnestly explained to him.

"Hmm... But child, I am not doubting you. I don't mind giving you some money. It's just that I don't want you to suffer again."

"You don't have to trouble yourself so much just to get back with that rascal. This grandfather can help you with that."

"I will twist that brat's ears and make him marry you all over again!" Grandpa Su angrily harrumphed.

Su Lin almost spat out the tea in her mouth. Who the heck wants to get back together with him?!! Slow your roll old man.

She hurriedly tried to salvage the situation. "I am sorry, grandpa. I have to stand my ground on this. The last time grandpa Shi forced him and I don't have to tell you what happened."

"I really love him, grandpa. So please help me win him over with my own strength." Su Lin shamelessly lied through her teeth.

Since her reputation was completely destroyed, and she didn't have any properties or any other financial backup, not even a family to support her, this old man right here, was her only chance to get a quick start.

Otherwise, she would have to pitifully work her way up and struggle to achieve even a small amount of success.

Grandpa Su sighed. The woman in front of him looked very resolute. He couldn't bring himself to refuse her request.

After all, she was only doing all of this to get back together with Shi Meng, which is something he also wanted.

"Ok child. Let me think about this for a while. You have been cooped up all day here and went through some traumatic experiences these past few days."

"Why don't you enjoy yourself and in the meantime this old man will think about your business proposal?"

"There is a gala today evening. You should pay a visit to the Lavender boutique in the mall and buy something nice for the event. It will definitely cheer you up child."

"We can talk about this again tomorrow." He patted Su Lin and called for his personal driver.

"Drop Miss Su Lin here at the mall. Child, just buy whatever you want and the shopkeeper will put it under the family name. Don't worry about the payment."

The old man chuckled and walked inside to attend to his other business duties.

Su Lin thanked him and bowed in gratitude. Now that plan had almost come into fruition, her thin figure happily skipped away, following the driver.

She was really looking forward to her first shopping experience!!

The driver soon dropped her off at the luxury mall on the D street and informed Su Lin that he would be waiting for her in the parking lot.

She nodded and happily sauntered in. Even from the entrance, she could see that all the shops in the mall were dazzling and sparkling as if they were newly built.

Su Lin looked around with awe and amazement and leisurely walked in. But not long after she noticed something weird. People were giving her rather peculiar looks.

Most of the men and women walking by around her were dressed pristinely in labeled fashion brands, while Su Lin in her plain clothes and jeans stuck out like a sore thumb.

She didn't want to ruin her good mood and decided to ignore it. She wandered around enjoying herself with window shopping.

Beautifully designed jewelry, stylish clothes, and even heavenly looking desserts were showcased neatly and beautifully in an eye-catching manner.

"Yup. My intuition was definitely correct. I absolutely belong in this wonderful world and not that hell hole." Su Lin beamed.

Su Lin originally planned to return back to her world, when her strength returns, but after experiencing the fancy fabulous things, her heart started wavering.

For someone who lived amidst constant chaos and bloodshed, a world like this felt like heaven.

As she wandered around eagerly, Su Lin couldn't help, but stop and stare when she came across a particular shop.

A woman was speedily applying cosmetic products to a customer. Su Lin was totally captivated by the makeup artists movements.

With just a few strokes of the brush, that girl's face looked completely different. Her blemishes had disappeared and her features looked sharper!

She admired the art work and absent-mindedly moved closer to them, watching the duo with intent focus.

The makeup artist noticed Su Lin, but ignored her and continued working on the petite elegant female, who already looked stunning and gorgeous.

The female client of the makeup artist looked like she was a foreigner and had a silky smooth golden blonde hair with deep blue eyes.

She was dressed in a plain coral grey suit with pearl earrings, which suited her elegant demeanor and subtle curves.

Her beauty was only outdone by the tall and lanky guy standing next to them.

Similar to the young woman, he also had a rich golden blonde wavy hair and deep blue eyes. Anyone could infer that these two were siblings.

He had a thin body structure with a tall frame. And he was dressed neatly in a clean white shirt, matched with a pair of salmon pink trousers.

But the first thing anyone would notice about him was his pair of deep blue piercing eyes and his thin black glasses that framed them.

Even after a few minutes, Su Lin still continued intently observing the makeup artist and showed no signs of movement.

The makeup artist who was originally not bothered by it, now started fidgeting uneasily. She kept throwing secret glances at the store manager, signaling him to take care of the situation.

Their shop White Lillies was a small start-up, opened by a bunch of friends together.

And by some heaven-defying luck, Mr. Robert had visited them that morning with his sister.

Mr. Robert often made it a habit to go to random places and scout top-rated talent. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the makeup artist.

If Mr. Robert thought she was talented then all sorts of doors will open for her. She might even be able to work in one of his international franchises.

And now some random woman, who totally looked like a country bumpkin had entered this scene to ruin the harmonious atmosphere.
