18 Mr. and Mrs. Shi divorced Part2

While Shi Meng was completely immersed in his scheming and plotting, he entirely forgot about the sleeping dragon he had poked the previous day.

As it is, Su Lin liked to watch her enemies burn and suffer. On top of that, Shi Meng went ahead and called her an ant, and even issued her a challenge.

So obviously, the tyrant queen had special plans in store for him.

But unfortunately, Shi Meng did not stop there. His death seeking abilities had leveled up and the man dared to announce to the media that he was getting a divorce.

Su Lin's eyes widened as the saw the notifications that were blowing up her phone.

The huge piece of news immediately spread like wildfire and everyone knew that Mr. and Mrs. Shi had divorced.

However, nobody knew why it happened. Several rumors started spreading, most of them slandering Su Lin.

When asked if this was about her illness, all Shi Meng commented was," My ex-wife is whole and healthy and will lead a long life. I wish her all the best."

This single statement again began another round of rumors. It was public knowledge that she was terminally ill and now she was suddenly healthy? So the entire time she was faking it?

Just like how Shi Meng had assumed the worst of Su Lin, the public and netizens as well assumed the worst of her. In fact, this was not something new.

A gold-digger trying to play the sympathy card and cheating the family happens every now and then, though no one else has ever been as audacious as Su Lin, daring to fake an illness like cancer.

At the least, everyone knew that this divorce was not amicable and that Shi Meng had literally chased out his wife.

Amidst all this chaos, Su Lin was even kicked out of the hospital.

Without Shi Meng's background, it was public information that she couldn't afford the First cross hospital's services.

So the head doctor hurriedly gave her a green flag for her health and chucked her out.

Su Lin had to use almost 90% of her funds just to settle the hospital funds alone, leaving her with almost no money for her personal necessities.

While she was dealing with these sudden changes, various other accusations popped up as well.

Some reporters insinuated that Su Lin was having an affair the entire time she was married and hence used a fake sickness as a cover to hide her dirty affair.

They also reported that she stole money from her family in the name of medical expenses and extravagant doctor fees.

The rumors just kept getting crazier and crazier. Since Su Lin was a nobody with no backing whatsoever, the reporters and the newscycle slandered her without any reservation.

Even if it was false, what could someone with no money and no influence do about that?

Su Lin's name was completely smeared and destroyed. It would be difficult for her to even get a job in the city after this. She could only survive by fleeing from the country and settling abroad.

But then again, she had no money to do that.

Shi Meng had perfectly boxed out Su Lin into a corner.

If at all she had any powerful backing, she literally had no other choice but to request their help and expose them. This was Shi Meng's plan. 

Thus, in the span of a day, Shi Meng had efficiently broken down and destroyed all the weapons in Su Lin's arsenal, her title, her name, and her money.

And now, she was left with nothing... or at least that's what he thought...
