62 Come back to me Part2
"Well hello there, my darling " a cold mocking voice floated inside, and along with it the owner of the voice, Shi Meng.
"....."
Of course this was going to happen!!
Su Lin's head was immediately throbbing. Rubbing her temples she looked pleadingly at Grandpa Su.
Understanding Su Lin's plight grandpa immediately said, "Shi Meng, behave."
But before he could say anything further, his phone rang and he saw that it was from an important client, probably reminding him about the meeting he had in a few minutes.
"Tsk tsk... Sorry child, I have to rush out now. I only had a few minutes to spare today."
Grandpa Su turned around to leave. "And Shi Meng I hope you can give me some face and behave appropriately."
Staring at Shi Meng for a minute, Grandpa Su again waved Su Lin goodbye and left.
As soon as that door shut behind Grandpa Su, an ominous silence filled the room.
Shi Meng sat on the couch and lifted his head to look up at Su Lin arrogantly.
It was as if he already owned that place and Su Lin was someone who worked under him.
Working under him… He He… That idea amused Shi Meng greatly.
Now I can scrutinize you all I want you bitch. Shi Meng chuckled.
As if reading his thoughts, Su Lin answered back with a blank expression, "Don't even think about it. This is not happening."
Raising his eyebrows, Shi Meng stared at her. He was surprised by Su Lin's attitude and behavior.
She no longer had that meek and pathetic damsel in distress exterior.
With an icy voice, he asked, "Hmmm.. Are you sure?"
"I mean your plan to swindle money would be much easier this way… Heh."
"In fact, why don't we get married again? Isn't that what you are fighting for?"
"I really don't mind having a pet snake around the house. I will even let you warm my bed in this round of our marriage."
He chuckled and gazed at the women, with his eyes moving from her face to her slender neck and then trailing down below.
Su Lin knitted her brows together in annoyance. She decided to ignore the arrogant man and continue with her work.
Not paying attention to him, Su Lin started clearing out the herbs she was using earlier and putting everything back in its place.
A deafening silence echoed in the seemingly empty shop.
Shi Meng crossed his fingers and glared at the woman in front of him, who was completely unaffected by him.
He remembered the days when the girl used to stammer and stumble in front of him, acting extremely nervous and bending over backward trying to please him.
He couldn't help but wonder what happened to that person? Was all of that an act? Or is this an act?
Infuriated, Shi Meng got up brashly and grabbed her or rather tried to grab her from behind.
Su Lin's lips curled upwards as she saw those grabby hands reaching for her from miles away.
She smoothly sidestepped as if she was eating a piece of cake.
Unable to control his momentum in time, Shi Meng crashed forward.
Su Lin snickered and used that to smash his face on the shelf.
She held him down forcefully by pressing his pressure point near his neck, making him feel sluggish and unable to react.
"The next time you raise your hand against a woman, you need to think twice about it."
Her menacing voice threatened the man, after which she mercilessly dragged him and tossed him out of the store.
Shi Meng was still in a trance from the shock of what just happened.
He looked into her clear black eyes with an obvious hatred and animosity, as the door slammed on his face.
With a low deep voice, he murmured, "Why are you trying to claw your way back into my life ?"
Without any response, Su Lin just blankly stared at him. But there was a glimmer of arrogance clearly visible in her eyes.
Looking at that expressionless face, Shi Meng's fury was only bubbling further.
With heavy deep breaths, he tried to calm himself down and stormed into his car waiting outside.
"Drive back to the office" he roared.
Su Lin chuckled at the sight with a satisfied expression.
She didn't like that arrogant jerk from the minute she got that poor girl's memories.
