Robert raised his glass and revealed a charming smile as if he was asking Su Lin to help herself to the gift.

Su Lin nodded lightly and smiled in return. She knew that the man was a money bags and friendly relation with him couldn't hurt.

And moreover, the man had even previously spoken a few nice words to her. So she had a good impression of him.

Su Lin didn't hesitate any further and accepted the cloth bag from Robert's assistant. 

She then ignored Tang Yue's clingy arms, excused herself, and walked over to the restroom to change into her new dress.

Since Grandpa Su was standing near them, Tang Yue couldn't hold on to Su Lin any longer and was forced to watch her leave.

But she was already content with the damage she had done. So Tang Yue smiled and joined Mama Meng and Mrs. Su as the three ladies continued chatting with the other socialites.

They were pretty sure that Su Lin would have probably run off to her house by now, so they didn't bother about her.

But a certain person couldn't shake Su Lin off his mind just yet. He had witnessed everything that had happened today in the birthday banquet and his doubts were only confirmed.

This cunning ex-wife of his was definitely up to no good. 

Shi Meng had been keeping a close watch on her ever since she returned from her 'meditation trip' as Grandpa Su called it, but unfortunately, he was unable to find anything out of place.

The women's behavior and mannerisms everything matched with her words. It really seemed as if she was genuinely trying to start a herbal company of some sort.

But still, something kept on nagging his conscience. So he silently persevered and continue to watch her from a distance, waiting for her to slip up.

And today, finally she revealed her true self!!

Others might not have noticed it, but Shi Meng could clearly see everything!!

In a single evening, Su Lin had skilfully thrown a spotlight on herself, caught the attention of the business tycoon, and managed to get close enough to the man, that he would even personally gift her a dress for changing into.

If this was not her ultimate seduction skill at play, then what was?

Shi Meng silently slipped out of the banquet hall and walked over to the restrooms. 

Today, he finally had the chance to confront the shameless slut and watch her squirm under his interrogation. There was no way he was going to miss this golden chance!

Shi Meng walked over to the restrooms resolutely with long confident strides. 

He leaned against the corner wall near the restroom door and patiently waited.

Su Lin had to pass through him to get to the banquet hall. So there was no way he would miss her.

A few minutes passed and the man started getting restless. 

"What is she doing inside? Does it take so much time to simply change into a different set of clothes??"

"Hmph! Such a vain and frivolous woman! She must be wasting her time trying to adjust her looks in the mirror." 

"As if a toad can change into a swan with a mere dress change. How pathetic!!" He angrily muttered and started pacing back and forth in frustration.

A few more minutes passed and finally, Shi Meng could hear the restroom door opening.

He grunted in impatience and hurriedly rushed over, ready to tear Su Lin into a million shreds, when the man surprisingly froze in his tracks like an angry ice sculpture.

"You… You…" Shi Meng stammered unable to get any more words out of his mouth.

The woman in front of him… It was Su Lin alright… But…

The woman in front of him was simply dazzling!

Su Lin had donned on a laced high neck wine red dress which was both conservative and sensual at the same time.

The dress was simple and elegant, but it looked absolutely ravishing. Only a very talented designer could bring about such amazing effects with the simple fabric.

Robert had successfully recruited that designer to their company earlier that day, and he was immediately reminded of that dress when he saw Su Lin.

Just like her, that piece of art was also simple, elegant, and yet mysterious. And it suited her quite well.

Su Lin was also quite taken aback by the beautiful dress and decided on the spur of the moment to indulge herself.

She had some makeup research materials in her handbag which she wasn't ever planning on using on her precious skin, but she decided to bend her rules just slightly for the time being.

She skilfully imitated the makeup artists trained movements and perfectly painted her face with various items.

The most important thing about applying makeup is to remember to not overdo things. And Su Lin had fully grasped this point.

Since her dress was mesmerizing, she did her hair in the most simple fashion into a loose messy bun. 

She neither had any accessories nor had any jewelry to go with the dress, so she decided to keep the simple theme for the entire look.

She quickly hid her blemishes and freckles, applied a light cherry shade lipstick to frame her pearly like teeth, and adjusted a few things here and there.

And lo and behold, the end result was absolutely stunning!

Her exquisite attire complimented her natural noble and ethereal aura that belonged to a grandmaster alchemist, a supreme being that stood atop all living beings. 

As Su Lin gracefully walked past Shi Meng, the man who had waited for quite a while to chew her head off, could now only helplessly stare at her disappearing silhouette, unable to make a move and still rooted to the spot.
