Reunion (3)

As the cab pulled to a stop in front of the fancy restaurant where Vanessa's class was meeting for the reunion, she was bundle of nerves.

Although, she had left home confidently and in high spirit thanks to Sophia's endless hype, now that she was standing there standing alone, she wasn't so sure anymore if coming there had been a good idea.

Why did she allow Sophia and Amanda convince her into coming here? What was she going to say? What was she going to do in a room filled with familiar strangers? It wasn't like she had been great friends with any of them, not even Amanda. They had just merely been classmates. It was going to be awkward spending the entire evening in their company.

She contemplated turning back and just going to somewhere else to spend the evening. She could while away the time doing anything else, maybe seeing a movie and relaxing herself, and when she gets home and Sophia asks how the evening went, she would just tell her she had fun.
