Chapter 2; The accident

She begun driving the car on a terrible speed.

As she floored the accelerator, the car surged forward, a metal bullet aimed at the darkness gathering within her. Tears blurred her vision, but she didn't need to see; she felt her way through the pain, fueled by a desperate urge to escape.

The speedometer climbed, numbers blurring together like the promises he'd broken. Her heart, once full of hope, now raced with a maddening intensity, threatening to shatter like the fragments of her shattered dreams.

The wind whipped through her hair, a mournful cry that echoed the anguish inside. She felt lost, alone, and consumed by the abyss of his rejection. Every mile devoured, every curve taken with reckless abandon, brought her closer to the edge – the edge of sanity, of reason, of life itself.

In this fleeting moment, speed became her solace, a temporary reprieve from the crushing weight of heartbreak. She didn't care about tomorrow, about consequences, or about the shattered remains of her heart. All she craved was oblivion – to silence the screams in her mind, to still the ache in her chest.

While she drove she saw a truck that was coming from the other side of the road.

" What's the point of living now, When Albert doesn't want me ?" She asked herself.

She quickly reached for her phone and recorded a voice note.

" Albert, There's no point of living without you. This is my last word to you ever. I love you" She said and after sending the truck was already close to her so she just drove to its direction.

Metal screamed against metal as the car's hood crumpled, folding like an accordion, upon impact with the truck's unforgiving grille. Glass shattered, tires screeched, and the airbag exploded into being, a fleeting cushion against the chaos. The car's front end disintegrated, a twisted mess of steel and rubble, pinned beneath the truck's massive bumper.

Ryan's fragile form was slumped, twisted, and broken. Her face, once radiant, now bore the cruel imprint of shattered glass and twisted metal. Blood trickled from her pale lips, mingling with tears and despair. Her eyes, once bright, had faded to a dull glaze, frozen in a permanent scream. Her limbs, tangled in the wreckage, seemed to belong to a doll, not a living being. The car's crushed interior had become her coffin, a deadly embrace that had shattered her body and spirit.

——

Sirens pierced the air as emergency responders rushed to the scene. Firefighters carefully extracted Ryan from the wreckage, their faces grim and focused. Paramedics swarmed around her, their hands moving swiftly to assess the damage.

"One hundred percent spinal immobilization,"

One paramedic called out, his voice firm and urgent.

"Possible internal injuries. We need to get her to trauma stat."

As they loaded her into the ambulance,The firefighter's expression softened. "We'll get your mom here, okay? Just hold on."

One of the men noticed Ryan's phone which had been partially crushed on the pavement and picked it. Then he saw the purse too and checked in to find her details.

They immediately called the number on her business card which was her Mother's.

She was like that when she heard her phone ring.

*The Phone Call*

Ryan's mother, Marium answered on the first ring. "Hello?"

"Mrs. Wilson, this is Officer Jenkins with the NYPD. I'm afraid I have some difficult news to share with you."

Mariam's tone changed from casual to concerned. "What is it?"

"Your daughter, Ryan was involved in a severe car accident on 5th Avenue. She's being transported to Chattin Main Hospital."

Mariam's world froze. "Oh God... How bad is it?"

"Ryan's injuries are critical, ma'am. I recommend you get to the hospital as soon as possible."

Mariam's voice trembled. "I'm on my way."

Her mind raced as she grabbed her purse and rushed out the door. Fear gripped her heart, imagining the worst. She couldn't lose Ryan her only child.
