21 How was I?

Once he had finished getting rid of those wild dogs he felt Alanis approaching and he asked him curious to know what he was thinking about his fighting skills, "So, how was I?"

Alanis felt like answering really sexy, but he held back because he knew that Mika was waiting for compliments on his fighting skills, so he told him honestly, "I'm very impressed, even with my print and knowing that you are still a level 0 Guardian, you shouldn't have been able to fight so many wild dogs at the same time by yourself.

But your technique was perfect, no useless moves, you always stabbed them in their vital points without missing your target a single time, and not to mention that even when you weren't looking at them you still hit your mark."

He then said to him as he grabbed his chin so that Mika could look him straight in the eyes, "Forget what I said earlier, I'm not impressed... I'm totally dazzled."

Mika smiles at him and he then said to him, "I warned you that you didn't have to worry... Let me pick up all these rewards and we can move on, I can't wait to find out what kind of creatures I'm going to fight against next."

So he went to scan all those silver balls that were still the size of pingpong balls and once they were all sucked into his bracelet he asked the central system to give him a summary of what he had won.

[Congratulations, you have earned 630 silver coins, 36 experience points, 12 fangs and 5 wild dog bodies]

Not bad he thought, it was a very good start, and before going any further he reminded Alanis once again, "Don't forget your promise, and let me fight, even if it means I have to get hurt, only then will I progress faster."

Alanis just nodded and he said to him, "Do not worry and let's go, at this speed I'm sure you will be able to do 2 or 3 dungeons tonight."

Mika smirked then and now that he had seen him fight, he was eager to see his next fights, he was sure that he would still be surprised by his fighting skills.

Mika then continued to move forward, Alanis staying a few meters behind him so as not to disturb him, and when the dungeon's scenery changed and became a plain with rocks where there were many places to hide, he signaled to Alanis to stay a little further away and then he concentrated on this new environment.

There was no point in rushing, especially since he had no idea what kind of creature he was going to be facing. So, when he was sure that he had memorized each thicket and rock of this plain, he moved forward confident that his senses would warn him as soon as something moved.

And he didn't have to wait long, he saw a shadow come out of one of the thickets to his right a little away from where he was standing and although he didn't have time to see what kind of creature it was because it had moved too fast for him, that didn't stop him from shoving his dagger down its throat when he jumped up with the intention of ripping his head off.

And as he watched the body of the creature disappear, he saw that it was a kind of cheetah, which explained the speed at which it had moved.

Mika then decided to put away his daggers and took out his scimitars instead, for this kind of creatures they would be much more useful, this cheetah had moved so fast that he had to wait until he decided to attack him to be able to kill him.

The scimitars would allow him to keep them at a certain distance from him and that should prevent him from being wounded unnecessarily, he still had to keep all his strength for the boss of the dungeon because he was sure that he would be much stronger than the one of yesterday evening.

Mika stopped then when he suddenly saw two other shadows moving, these creatures were more intelligent than those he had faced until now because they attacked him only in his blind spots.

Fortunately, Mika throughout his past life had gained a lot of experience in all kinds of fights and trusting his instincts was second nature to him, and when these cheetahs attacked him together, one aiming at his lower body while the other attacked at his right shoulder, he killed them without difficulty waiting until the last second to not risk them escaping and attacking him again.

Once these two were dead he made Alanis understand that he shouldn't move so that he wouldn't attract their attention and he set off again to force the cheetahs that were still hidden to show themselves.

A few meters further away he was attacked again by a cheetah which he killed like the others and as he arrived at the border of this land and the same sort of green plain where he had seen the Viking yesterday had just appeared in front of him, he was suddenly attacked by a large number of cheetahs which completely caught him off guard.

He had thought that at the most there would be 2 or 3 left, but there were already 5 and more were coming. Crap, he thought, he had relaxed a little too much, and they were too numerous to avoid all their attacks.

He smiled in spite of himself because it was now that the fight finally became interesting. He immediately knelt down to reduce the parts of his body that they could attack and in this position the cheetahs didn't have many options to attack him and they were therefore easier to kill.

As their attacks became predictable Mika used his knees to slide and turn on the ground to avoid them and at the same time he used his scimitars to either kill or wound them when he didn't have access to their vital points.

Then, only about five minutes later he got up and finished off the last of the cheetahs that had attacked him, and he winced when he saw the gashes their claws had left on his arms and shoulders.
