11 Chapter 9: A Quest?

We all looked at Dean Jean with curious gazes as we hear her out.

"You did it Daisy! You learned how to control your magic!" She said in a happy tone.

"Wha-?" Was all I could say.

"You evolved! Daisy, what had happened earlier is the evolution of the Phoenix. I saw that one before. That was the last evolved version of the last phoenix bearer, before she fought with dusk and defeated them all! It only means that you now have the full control of the power itself!" She explained. Making me happy. Now I can do what I want freely!

"But doesn't that mean that she is now into a more dangerous situation than before?" Mye asked, making me look at her. "I heard that after the last bearer got its full control over the Phoenix... She went missing and was never to be found again." She explained, giving me goosebumps.

I heard the story. But not the full one, so this new trivia gave me fear. Everyone also agreed at what she said.

"But don't loose hope yet! We have the formidable crystal with us! So it won't be too dangerous for her, right?" Guinevere asked and I nodded as an answer.

"I'm afraid not dear... Daisy's power has gone much stronger now than the last time. So the only thing that the crystal can do, is to hide her from those who tries to seek for her. Nothing more." Well that made me disappointed, but still... At least it has some big use, right? I can still use it to keep me hidden from dusk's visions. But I tried to ask an impossible kind of question.

"Is there a thing that can help us with our problem?" They all looked at me, and I was desperate, thanks to the dean. "I don't want to be a burden in the future." I said and they all went silent.

"Well there is a quest for the answer you seek." Professor Greg spoke, making all us them look at him with hope. "Nah~ it's quite impossible if you may ask. Not suitable for the likes of you students. Even us professors can't even manage to pass that quest!" He said unbelievably, so we sighed disappointingly.

"But we have to do it! Otherwise, we'll don't know if it's gonna be of use or not." I said with full of confidence, and...

"You'll probably fail~" Well that feels embarassing at some point~

I can't talk after that, it felt like my tongue has been intertwined and can't turn back to normal state.

"I'll go with Daisy." Traceler said, making me look at him with shock.

"S-Same goes for me." Mye said and then the other two.

"Are you all serious?! I already told you, it's very dangerous!"

"Then we'll face every danger!" I answered, disagreeing with what Professor Greg said.

"But you... Can't you just... Gosh! Fine! I'll tell you about it." He said sounding defeated. "But if anything bad ever happens to you, we wouldn't be responsible, get it?" He said, and we all nodded quickly.

We were all taken inside the school. May I also tell you that the school gate has been damaged? So, we couldn't really go inside thay easily, but I got an idea.

"Please fix all the damaged part of the school." I pleaded, and raised my hand. I focused all of my strength in my hand and thought of the school's past form. Then I felt my strength being sucked out from me, until I felt dizzy and almost lost consciousness. Good thing, Rose was just behind me,

making her catch me and give her support.

But all of that didn't go in vain, as we all look at the school. Everything was now back to normal. The gates are now as great as the last time we saw it and some bricks from the wall have been put back to its state.

"That was a nice start Daisy." Guinevere said, making me smile, before we all entered the school and went towards the training room.

As we all enter there, I kinda felt Professor Greg trying to avoid us. He even made up a story to try and escape earlier, but we stopped him. If he thinks that he can go off that easily, well jokes on him, we are well educated enough to find out if someone is sincere or not.

"Can't I just change your mind? I was just kidding earlier!" He tried again, but we all waived our head no.

"We trust you more than you think, professor. So please, if this is the only way for me to be safe, then I will do it. Whatever danger we face, we will fight." I firmly said and he again sighed at my answer.

"Very well then." He said and we all saw how his eyes became blue. Then he motioned his palm down and a miniature was revealed. It was weird, since, instead of seeing a crowded place... We saw nothing but forests and caves and the likes. Mountains even. "This is the place that I speak of... This is Etania Mountain." Hearing what he said, we were all surprised and excited at the same time.

"Isn't that the mountain where the very first phoenix was found?" Mye asked, and I could tell that she got really excited basing on the spark of her eyes.

"Yes! As I heard, that was the mountain where Aurora was born and raised." Rose said, also beeming with excitement.

"But she was also banished from the mountains with what she did, right?" Guinevere said, making everyone nod in agreement.

"And that is why I told you it's dangerous to take a trip there! Ever since Aurora vanished from Etania Mountain. Ghouls, orcs, and the likes, started to haunt the place. Bad spirits have gathered there and destroyed the once beautiful and peaceful mountain." Professor Greg explained, as he motion his hands everything from the miniature, crumbled and became a spooky place.

"That was also the start of Dusk, ruining everything. Attacking every empire, specially Dawn and worse... Destroying Aurora's Land." Professor Eurie explained.

"But of course! Let's not think about those negativities anymore, we have the upper hand now. As long as we walk down the right path, everything will be fine!" Professor Rylie said and raised his hand up in the air while trying to light up the mood.

"Thank you for giving us the assurance, Professor Rylie... Now, for the quest?" Traceler cut him off, but not in a bad way, because he tried to smile. Even if it was ingenuine.

"First of all, you need to enter the Gates of truth. In here, you will have to answer every question to enter the mountain. Each of your right answers will be given something useful for your journey inside. But consequences for those who've wronged.

Next place is the forest of doom. Here, you'll be able to see something unexpected. Beware of what you see, for all of it are just pure hallucinations. It is also said that if you pass this part of the quest, you will be given the chance to talk to someone who're most loved by your lives.

The third place that you need to find, is the cave of terror, in here you will see a cave of mirrors. And with this mirrors, will tell what you really want to achieve in life, be it bad or good. This will also test your bond of friendships. And if you pass this test, it will lead you to the entrance where the mountain lies."

After explaining everything. We all looked at each other and nodded firmly to agree with everything.

"We will do our best to finish the quest no matter what." I said and Professor Greg nodded as an answer.

"Oh... And may I also need to remind you that death is also one of the consequences at that place." He said, making me gulp in fear.

"Go to you rooms and prepare yourself with this journey. It will cost you three days and three nights before you arrive at the Gates of Truth. But don't worry, because we will also give you things that you will need." Dean Jean said, before dismissing the plan.
