36 Chapter 34: Burried

"What am I gonna do? I can't even save my families~ I- I'm a loser~" I said to myself as I try to walk back to the house, only to fall down on my knees.

I just kept it like this. Steady and motionless as I look at the house not far from me. It stands still, but I am imagining it starting to crumble away with my memories. My tears began to fall again as I watch everything around me full of blood and messed up.

Not until, I felt someone or little hands held me and stand me up to guide me to a carriage I think? But I don't care no more... I look like a statue right now that is being carried away, to be honest.

"Ma'am? Ma'am are you okay? Hello? Do you hear me?" The voices I am hearing is not really clear, because my mind is so full right now. But with just one touch of a little hand at my face... I awoke.

"Huh? What is it?" The child jolted out with surprise, making me look at her with guilt. "I'm so sorry to scare you~ I didn't mean to." I explained.

"It's okay ma'am~ I understand. Sorry to hold you without permission." She said while looking down.

"No no no! To be honest~ I thank you for being such a brave kid, waking ne up from that nightmare." I smiled and she hugged me. It was so genuine, that it made me tear up... Until I remembered something, making me look at her. "Why did you come back? Where is Oracle Ban?" I asked and they all looked at each other.

"The other guards are burying her now ma'am. We thought of bringing you there." I just smiled sadly at their remark. They're so kind.

After a minute or two, we arrived at the cemetery. It was so silent, cold and a bit breezy, making me have goosebumps all over me. It felt like they were all here to welcome me and the likes, gives me the creeps. Until we arrive at the location where they are burying her.

It was weird seeing the tombs around her being clean though, while the other ones are covered with almost mud.

"Do you often come here?" I asked one of the guards but he just waived his head no.

"Sorry milady... But we are always ordered to keep an eye out of the sorroundings, making us have no other time to even visit our loved ones." He explained and I just nodded.

"Then why are some of the tombs are as clean as a newly washed carriage?" I thought.

Time passed by and they finished burying Oracle Ban. They just wraped her up like a mummy and put her on a casket, before totally burying her. It was a fast burial indeed, but their expressions looked glum.

"She was a very kind oracle." One of the guards said and teared up. "She helped a lot of us here at the empire." He continued.

"She would always bring us foods whenever we play near her house and tells us to keep safe." One of the children said and cried. Everyone around her age supported her.

"She even gave me a foretell, telling me that I will find my happiness someday... And I already did! I have my own happy family now! But... She's dead." One of the guard said, and started to cry silently.

"Oh~ how time really flies fast." Another then said, trying to keep composed.

I just stand there with no other sound but hearing all of them talk. They all had beautiful memories with her. Just like what I have when I was a kid. But... Now that she's gone, I won't be able to make memories with her anymore. I wiped my tears and asked a question.

"Do you often see her with someone though? A boy perhaps?" I asked, making them look at each other.

"Well, to be honest... We sometimes see her with a man. But no one knows who he is."

"He looks like the type of person who is an introverted one." Answered two of them.

"Ooh! Ooh! We often see her with a man wearing a black clothing~ He has this weird face around him everytime, and we can't see his face that much since it is covered with a long jacket~"

"Yeah~ he looks like a dracula!" The kids explained, making me crunch my brows.

"Who would it be? Granger?"

"Last question... Do you know a man named Granger Sonata?" I asked again.

"Why yes! But not quite~" Answered the guard. "All we know is that he is also helping everyone is need, and that he is mostly common to women." He explained, making me tilt my head a bit.

"You idiot! He is the new member of the royal elites! Did you forgot about it?!" He sounded like a scared old man though~

"But what? A new member of the royal elites? Then does that mean that-" I tried to think of an answer, but... "Impossible though~" I thought sadly. "The Granger that I know would definitely remember me. He would know who I am at first glance. But that Granger whom I have met, didn't even asked me about it." So yeah! Maybe it wasn't him and that it was just a coincidence?

"Are you all together now then? Did you left me behind now? You're all so unfair." I said and looked down. My tears escaping my eyes.

"We have to go now milady~ we still need to take care of the others."

"Sure! Be careful okay? And children? Stay strong!" I cheered them up before they were escorted away. I was now left behind here. No one alive, and just circled with tombs. I hate being alone, but now... I feel like I need to get used to it.

I just sat at one of the tombs and said. "Why would you even leave me without saying any last words? You're all so unfair." I started to cry. I don't care. No one is here with me though. "I was excited to be here again for I thought that you've kept your promises... But why would I see this? Why didn't you fought back there?" I asked and looked at Oracle Ban's tomb. "And where is he?!" I cried more... "I miss you both so much! I want to see you again, but this happened. Please, for the last time... Guide me to where he is." I wiped my tears, but they kept on escaping my eyes. So I just let it all out.

"Oh come on... Crying for them won't change everything. You'll just waste your tears." I heard a voice that's so evil, I felt scared all of the sudden. It made me surprised that I shot him with my wand, but he escaped so easily. "Whoa whoa whoa! Easy there my cute princess. It's just me." He said and raised his hands. He looksike a demon in some point. But he has no horns, nor tail... Just that... His aura is black and you can tell by his face that he's up to no good.

"Who are you? And what do you want from me?" I asked with a serious but scared tone.

"Oh? We've already met before, many times even... How soon you forget? It is I! Damian Dell, the king of Dusk Empire!" He said with proud tone, and hearing that words, made my blood boil.

"You!" I started to attack him, but just small eyes to not damage the tombs. "You're the reason why I lost my family!" I said with anger.

"Oh come on! Stop it with the blaming now!" He said and looked at me, but after seeing that I am still comtinueing my attack, he escaped again. "Their only job is to raise you, that's it. When you reach the age that you need to, you willbe sent to the palace to either work with them? Or be my queen."
