20 Chapter 18: A Cave?

Daisy

Ok! Let me see, the forest still continues from here, but a cave is seen. That must be the one i'm looking for.

I slowly walked towards the cave, and as I approach it. I can't wash away this feeling of uneasiness and a bit of excitement. It felt like, something big is about to happen here, and I can't wait to find out.

"Ok~ Breath in~ Breath out." I composed myself first before taking a sigh and walking inside of the cave.

It looks bigger than a normal cave, and I didn't expected it to be this big up close. Like, some kind of dragon can fit here, and speaking of dragon, it made me a bit scared when I thought that, maybe a dragon do leave here!

But I can't stop now, not that I already have gone through a lot!

Still, I continued walking and went inside of the cave. And I was surprised to see what the insides looked like. It was horrifying! Everywhere, around the cave, some are even hanged, were bones of humans and some animals also. They are seen on the ground, hanging up or posted on the wall!

It sent shivers down my spine as the thought of being one of them crossed my mind. The owner of this cave must be a brutal one. I also saw one of the fugitives who we were fighting days ago, hanging on the wall and starts to decompose. It almost made me puke! His eyes is also open a bit, and his right arm is torn.

"Should I abandon my mission?" I thought as the chills grew worse inside of me. "But I promised everyone to not let them down!" I thought again, and this time. I heard footsteps. Not just a pair, but two of them.

I couldn't move an inch. My body has been stuck for a reason. I couldn't even move a muscle! "Think! What do I do?! Think Daisy!" I said, but even my mind stopped working. "Is this it? Is this the end?" I tried to close my eyes as I loose hope, when...

"Ugh... Excuse me, but... Are you hurt? How may I help you?" The voice was so soothing that it instantly faded away my fear. It was like, those voice made my whole body awaken like an electric shock had awoken me. "You look pail, are you sick? Or maybe lost?" He again asked, and this time, I held my wand in front of him.

"Oracle's Sword!" I spoked and my wand turned into a sword in no time. I tried to slash him as fast as I could, but he has quick reflexes and escaped my attack. "I need to kill this creature before it does to me!" Was all I could think about. I also wanted to avenge this people whom he killed.

"Wait! What are you doing?! Stop that! Please! I just want to help." He pleaded, but I continued attacking him.

"And then what? You'll also hang me in the walls like everyone?! You're not messing up with me that easily."

"But i'm telling the truth... And what do you mean by hanging everyone on the wall?" I know that he knows it was a rhetorical question to ask, but why would he ask innocently? I mean, he age seemed kinda that of a middle aged man, but for some reason, he thinks innocently.

"But what if he's just trying to make you trust him?" My conscience is killing me! But my instinct tells me otherwise, that's why I am confused.

"Why is the cave full of these dead people? Where did they came from? And why are they all here?" I asked straight at him while mentaining a distant.

"Oh them? They are those who died a long time ago and was never burried well unlike others. So I thought of just, helping their soul to reach nirvana and leave the bodies here, for others to just stay away from this place. Well, except you. You had the guts to just enter here even with second thought." He explained, making me more curious. "Don't get me wrong, the reason why they are being put like that, is to keep everyone away from this place. It's really dangerous. But, I always pray for these bodies souls to be peaceful, so no worries- Ow! What was that for?!" He asked in pain as I punched him in the guts. He grunts.

"Why would you do that?! You could've just burried them yourselves and thought of another way to keep everyone out!" I lectured him and the rant goes on, until...

"Ok~ Ok! You win. I'll burry them!" He said and casted his hand. He turned his back on me, and I could see that everyone started to float in the air and after that, they were pile as the sides of the cave. "I'll do it later." He pouted and I looked at the fugitive earlier. "He came here yesterday. It was unfortunate of him, he didn't made it. Even if I already gave him proper medications, he still gave up." He explained, and a tear escaped my eyes. "But before that, he said something about dusk and that they attacked all of his group until nobody was seen standing. And said he wants revenge. So I told him to just let karma do it, before his last breath took it away from him.

Rest assured, his soul is now at peace." He said and puts his hands together, like he was praying. So I did the same.

"Rest in peace. All of you." I said before standing back up to my feet and look at the person beside me.

"Anyway... May I ask about what you said to this place? I mean, what did you meant when you said that this place is dangerous?" I asked him and he just looked at me first, then said...

"Let's take inside. For us to understand each other more." He said, and although he's a stranger, I could feel that he is a nice guy... So I followed and we walked deeper into the cave.

As we go on deeper, I could see something glowing inside, and the creepy vibes was long gone.

To my surprise, the inner setting of the cave was just like a pure house. All of the things that can be seen in a house are here! A table, a bookshelf, foods and the likes. No beds though.

"Wow! I didn't expected something like this." I said in a shocked manner.

"Nobody would. After all, they all think of me as a monster after looking at the scenery outside." He explained and sighed.

I on the one hand, felt guilty and just looked down. "So~ what is that you're trying to say?" He asked and smiled. That made me more guilty though. But what else would I do? I accepted his offer, might as well finish this.

To be continued~
