16 Chapter 14: First Thing~ Taken!

Daisy

We were walking around in circles right now. We don't know which path to take next.

"Were back here again?! Are you sure that's the right path Guinevere?" Mye asked as we stopped our track and look at the map countless times now.

"Yes I am sure. But it doesn't make any sense at all. How did we even got lost in the first place? When in fact, we are following the map?" She asked confused.

"Maybe we missed something important with that map. May I borrow it for a bit?" Traceler said and Guinevere gave the map to him. He examined it and went silent for a minute. "Hmm~ this is weird. Nothing's new. It seems like this is the real path that we're all taking right."

"Then why are we at the exact same spot everytime?" This time, Rose was the one to ask while taking a sip from her water bottle.

I, on the right hand, sat down at a rock that I found near them and drank my own water when, I noticed something weird behind me. At first, I didn't minded it, but after feeling strange, I looked at it again and this time, I am really sure that there is something weird in this tree.

"Guys? Come here for a minute." I called all of them and they did walked closer. "Look at this tree here. Seems weird right?" I asked and they all examined the tree.

"Oh my gosh! Traceler, may I see the map?" Guinevere asked excitedly and when she looked at the map, she smiled victoriously. "First things found~" She said and showed us the map. "We have been thinking that we are circling at the same spot where we are earlier, but the truth is, we are here at this spot now." She explained and pointed at the place where we are right now. It was now a bit far from the school! "We got confused, because aside from the forest being very wide, we thought that the Old Wonderer's Sword is just stuck up on a stone in the middle of this part! When in reality, it is hidden right here!" She explained, and she looked at me. "Great observations Daisy!" They all said something the same after that.

"How will we get that thing though? It's impossible that there aren't any consequences when getting that thing." I said and they all tried to think of a way.

"Step aside everyone. I'll try." We all looked at Traceler who volunteered to try.

"Be careful there." I said and we all stand behind him.

"I just hope this works fine." He said and held the tree with his hand. We don't know what his facade is, because he is facing his back on us.

After totally putting his hands on the tree, we were all surprised and got excited at the same time when it glowed powerful violet. I mean, the tree did! And it emitted a powerful light, making us cover our eyes.

"Traceler get away from there! It's dangerous!" Guinevere called out but he couldn't.

"Even if I want to, I can't! My hand is stuck inside! It's like sucking me in!" He shouted, making me nervous.

We tried to ran and help him, but... "Don't! It's too dangerous!" He screamed and tried his best to pull himself out.

"Please help us Aurora!" I thought and closed my eyes in fear. Trying to think of what to do.

"You are the phoenix, Daisy. Therefore, it is your responsibility to help everyone." That voice. I heard that voice before. But where? I can't remember. "You're more powerful than you think, Daisy... So use that power to help them." She said and this time, I could feel myself heating up again.

"This feeling! The adrenaline rushes throughput my veins! This is what I am looking for!" And with a sudden flick of lights towards me, I quickly ran towards Traceler.

"Daisy?! You-" I didn't mind what he was saying and instead... Held the sword with him. And he was right about it, I felt like being sucked inside the more I try to take it out. But I didn't let that defeat me.

"Please! I'm begging you! We need this sword for our quest! To save Aurora's Land from the hands of Dusk!" Traceler pleaded, and pulled harder. I could feel the tree trying to pull us in more though. "Please help us~" He said and this time, in a much calming tone. "This is for all of us." I smiled and after that, we could feel the weakening of the tree, making us have a chance to pull out the sword. After more pullings, we finally managed to get the sword. We fell and stumbled on the ground.

I groaned as I feel myself hitting the ground.  I tried to recover, but my head felt dizzy so I waived by head over and over again.

"Are you okay Daisy?" Traceler came to my aid.

"Y-Yeah~ just a bit dizzy for what happened earlier. But i'm fine, no worries. How about you?" I asked and looked at the sword he is holding. "We got it!" I stand up and clapped in joy. My dizziness faded in an instant as I saw the sword.

"Yep! We really did, and it's all thanks to you~" Guinevere said and cignaled a high five, so we gave her each of them.

"Nice teamwork guys!" Mye said and her eyes also smiled. She looks cute though~

"Now that the Wonderer's Sword is in our hands... Where do we go next?" Rose asked, so we looked at the map.

"Here! We need to get the Flute of Whispers." Guinevere said and we looked at the place. It seemed weird though~

"A lake?" Mye said and we all looked at her. "Why is the flute at a lake?" She asked and we didn't answer her. We also have no idea.

"Whatever the reason, we'll soon find out." Guinevere said, so after checking the map, we continued our journey to the deeper part of the forest.

But as we go far away from the school. The strange feeling I felt earlier was started to fade. Oh~ haven't I told you that I felt strange earlier? No? Ok. Before that voice of a woman talked to me, I was feeling a bit strange. And I don't know why. Maybe it's because I am excited about all this? Or was it something else?

Whatever the reason, I will find out later.

"Daisy? Is there a problem there?" I was awaken by Rose's voice. And when I looked at them, they are now a couple of meters away from me.

"Oh no no no~ keep going, i'm just a bit tired." I explained, although I lied. I need to keep my pace or they'll leave me here or worse, ask some questions~
