12 Chapter 10: Answers

As we all enter the dorm. We were all silenced by one thing... This quest... Will this be really too dangerous for us to handle? Will we make it? Will we be able to survive this without sacrificing one's life? 

I am totally afraid of the consequences that we might face along this journey. But, it's worth the try, am I wrong?

As I enter my room to prepare, Traceler came near me and asked.

"Are you really sure about this? What we saw there was unexpected, and we might not be able to make it." He said sounding unsure of what he is saying.

"To be frank with you, I am also not sure about all this. I don't want anybody to be hurt just because of me." I answered in a low voice.

"You need to be sure with your answer, Daisy. Otherwise all will be for nothing." He answered before walking away, then I entered my room.

Out of all the choices that I needed to choose from, this one is the hardest so far. I don't know what to do. I mean... This is an opportunity for me to train and learn to control my power even more, but at the same time... I- I am in doubt about the possibilities along the way. I don't want to be a burden, and I also don't want anyone dying because of me.

"Mom, Dad... What will I do?" I said and covered my face with my palm. "Please help me with this Mailey, you're the one who's good at this kind of things. Jaimey~" I called all of them, hoping that they would answer. But, alone as I am in the room, I didn't find the answer I was looking for. I sighed at this and thought of someone.

"If only Granger's here. He would tell me what path to choose from. Or Oracle Ban." I blurted out and laid in my bed. I looked at the ceiling and tried to think of an answer to my question. But I only got a headache, making me shrug it off for now.

I went out of the room and saw everyone sitting on the sofa, all silent.

They looked at me after noticing the door opened, so I looked at them with doubt.

"Guys I... Have something to tell you." I said with an audible voice. They all looked at me intently and listened. "It's not like I don't trust you or anything, I really do. But I just don't want anybody getting hurt by the process, so... I came up with the conclusion that... I will take the quest on my own-"

"Impossible! We all know that you can't handle it on your own!" Guinevere said.

"Even if you are the most powerful being here at Aurora's Land, you still can't succeed without us, Daisy." Mye said with a sad tone.

"But I don't want anybody to get hurt. Please, I don't want to see anyone dying in front of me again." I worriedly said, and tears started to fall from my eyes. "Even if I really wanted to experience the thrill with you guys, I can't. Because I am afraid of loosing one of you." I explained and kneeled in front of them. I lost my strength at the mention of death.

All of the girls came to me and hugged me. A group hug! Guinevere stand up and pulled Traceler towards our place, even if it was against his rule. Guinevere made him embrace us. So with no other choices to do, he just followed and hugged us all. A group hug!

"If death will be the cost of our hardships... If sacrificing is needed for you to have what you need. Don't be afraid to loose us. Instead, keep on moving forward. Even if it is hard for you to move on, just keep on trying, until you reach the goal that we all want." Guinevere said and smiled sweetly at me.

"Our future depends on you now, Daisy. So whether you like it or not, someone will need to be sacrificed in order to keep you walking one step at a time." Mye said while wiping her own tears.

"We are your ground, Daisy. Your rain, your sun, and your moon. And you are our flower. Therefore, it is our job to keep you alive. To keep you standing tall until the end. Even if we pass away, someone will definitely help you grow into a fine tree someday." Rose explained with her usual plant kind of explanation.

"Don't be too silly to think that we are afraid of death, you moron. It is inevitable. If it is not our time yet, then good, if it is our time, then so be it. You can't do anything about it. Everyone and everything in this land comes and then goes after. That's the law of life. So even if you don't want us dying, a time will always come for us to face that part of life." Traceler explained and wiped my tears away. I admit that I was surprised by what he did. He also smiled to assure me, and this was the very first time that I saw him smile this way. It was... Warm and calming to see. It made my worries fade, so I looked at all of them and smiled.

"Thank you for telling me those things guys. But still, I don't want you getting hurt."

"Then let's promise to survive this quest whatever it takes!" Guinevere said full of confidence. She also reached for our necks and held us all close. "Come on! Promise Daisy! For her spirit to be at peace!" She said pouting and I laughed at what she said.

"Promise?" Mye motioned her hand in front all of us and looked at everyone, including me. So we all put our hands on top of each other and yelled.

"Promise! Team Alpha!" We all yelled and laughed loudly.

It made my worries fade as I look at them smiling altogether. I smiled and laughed with them while thinking...

'I just hope to be able to live with them

until the very end. I want to fight with them until the end. I want to live a peaceful life with all of them.

I hope to see their smiles in the future again. Please let it be.'
