1 The Judge

Jack laughed as he watched the scene in front of him. A hero summoned from the other world, fighting with the demon king. Jack never expected this stuff would be real, anyway, the fight was nearing the climax. He watched eagerly, ready to find out who wins.

"Mwuahahaha! You can't defeat me, lowly hero! I have come to destroy all, and there's nothing you can do about it!" The demon king blurted out possibly one of the most cliche things Jack had ever heard, of course, the hero followed along.

"You're wrong! I am a hero, it is my duty to protect the people of this world. I will strike you down with my holy blade!" Jack cringed a little while watching them blurt out such embarrassing things.

The fight carried on for a while. The hero ultimately came out victorious, the demon king lay on the ground breathing his final breaths. At that moment, Jack had to make his decision.

"Wh-who are you!" The hero shouted as Jack appeared in front of them all from thin air.

"Look, man, I'm only here to judge this demon. Don't get in the way for a little will ya?" Jack gave an innocent smile.

"I think not! It is up to the kingdom of Endor to judge that foul demon king. Who do you think you are to judge him?!" What a heroic man. He was better at getting on Jacks' nerves than being a hero.

"Oh my God. It's my literal job to judge you lot."

Jack sighed and began to his judgment. "Killed a lot of people, as expected. Ho ho, what's this?" Jack looked closely at all of what he had done. To his surprise, he had a pretty solid reason. It was humans who made the first move, demons had been suppressed on this world for their entire existence.

"Ok, Mr Demon. You're gonna go to Hell for a few dozen years, it's not too bad down there. Then you're free to go to Heaven." With a snap of Jacks fingers, the body of the demon disappeared.

"What did you just do?!" An obnoxious little girl shouted out from behind the hero.

"My job. Okie Dokie, I'm going to be leaving now. Also, I'd drop the harem if I were you. They really don't do well when being judged." Jack left the little hint to the hero before leaving. After all, Jack didn't like harems.

"How'd it go?" A mature woman with overflowing green hair asked. She was 'Life'.

"Eh. Alright, I guess. It's all just so different from my old life..." Jack spoke in a melancholy voice.

"Don't worry kid, you'll get used to it in no time at all." The one who spoke this time was a middle-aged man in a black suit. As you could probably presume, this was 'Death'

"Hopefully, anyway, I'll be going to my room. If you need me, you know where I'll be."

Jack left for his room. Although they were all known as 'Celestial Beings' they still liked to live a normal life. They lived in a large mansion, on a desolated hub planet which overflowed in lush scenery, all thanks to 'Life'.

"Ah... He's a good kid." Death pronounced.

"He is, I just hope he doesn't get hurt like the old 'Judge'." 'Life' had high hopes for Jack. Although she hadn't known Jack for long, she felt as if she wanted to protect him.

"Mhm... He is a human though, so it might turn out differently."
