1 INTRODUCTION TO QIN HUIFEI

Qin Huifei came down from the car, her heels clicking.

The veil she wore covered her face well. Though they couldn't see her face but she could see theirs well.

"They are here already!" Her personal assistant whispered to her and she nodded before she then walked in with her guards behind her.

"Hope she doesn't behave so rudely" Lingyun, her personal assistant muttered as he followed her calmly.

Qin Huifei walked in gracefully and elegantly.

"Good day everyone.." She said in English and they turned to her. They were dignitaries sent from different countries to honor her and the country after all she was the queen of the Republic of China.

Welcome your highness..." One of the men said and Qin Huifei nodded and she took a seat while Lingyun sat beside her, ready to take orders from her.

"It's a pleasure that you all came here to honor me. I'm deeply moved" Qin Huifei said.

"Of course we will, your highness has been a huge help to us and our countries, so we would love to celebrate your anniversary with you!" Another said and Qin Huifei stood up.

"I'll send some guards to take you to your rooms. Please make sure to relax well for the beautiful event tommorrow. Once again, it's a honour seeing you all" Huifei said and they all nodded.

"I'll be on my way now, enjoy your stay.."

She turned and walked out and Lingyun ran after her almost immediately.

The car's door was opened for her and she elegantly stepped in. Soon the car drove off

In the car.

"Go straight to the imperial dungeon" Qin Huifei said to Lingyun.

"Yes, your highness.. "

"Is this about the spy?" Lingyun asked.

"Do I have to spell it out?" Qin Huifei shrugged.

She nodded and brought out her phone. Then she started operating on it.

The ride was a silent and boring one since their queen was an introverted person. Lingyun took his face to hers and tried peeking through her veil.

He could see her face dimly but not clearly. And most times he wonders why she veils her face every time.

It was funny to say that no one has the queen's face ever since she was crowned.

Soon the car halted and Lingyun released a long breath.

"We are here, your highness.." He announced and she looked up.

Qin Huifei smirked.

"Let's go, Lingyun??" She said and then came down from the car.

The guards bowed as soon as they saw the queen approaching.

"You are welcome, your highness.." They chorused and Huifei nodded.

The imperial prison was the prison for special sets of people eg national spies, government officials and so on.

"I don't think Dave will cooperate with us. We've tried so many times to make him confess but he didn't.." Lingyun says and Huifei smirked even though Lingyun couldn't see her.

"I will make him talk..." She replied defiant.

They continued walking until they got into a wide passage just like a hall.

"Gosh, this place stinks!" She said and covered her nose with her palms.

Lingyun quickly took out a napkin from his bag and gave it to her which she took immediately.

They got to a room with guards standing in front if it.

And as usual, the guards bowed.

"Open the door.." Lingyun ordered and the door opened. The queen and Lingyun both stepped in.

Qin Huifei smirked when she saw him. He was sitting on the ground bound with chains.

His face and body badly bruised.

He looked up and smiled upon seeing the two guests.

"Wow! The queen and her lover is here..." He said and chuckled dryly.

"Just shut up and better start talking!"

Lingyun yelled but he chuckled the more.

"Nope.." He said and Huifei moved closer to him. She squatted before him.

"You stink a lot but you need this.." She spat out before she slapped him hard on his face.

He groaned and threw his head backwards in pain.

"I must say, your hand is strong, Queen Huifei.." He said and Qin Qin Huifei stood up.

"Guards!" She yelled and immediately three guards rushed in.

"Tie him up to the pole!" She ordered and immediately they did so.

"Hand it over!" She turned to Lingyun and he handed it over to you.

"Pour water all over him!" She ordered again and the guard said it.

"What are you up to now? Queen?" Dave asked with a sly smile.

"This!" She said pointing to wire she's holding. You will be electrocuted to death!" She smirked and Dave's eyes widened.

Fear immediately ran through them but he refused to show it.

Soon she connected the wire to the cables and smirked.

"And the show begins now..." She yelled and hit him with the rod and the next thing was the agonizing cries that filled the room.

Later.

They called out of the dungeon as Huifei cleaned her hands.

"Are you okay, your highness?" Lingyun asked.

She was about to say something when she suddenly winced.

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly as he quickly grabbed her hand.

She looked at him with widened eyes and then immediately snatched her hand from him.

She stared at him again and then she quickly hurried to the car.

"What was that?" She asked herself as she held her chest.

Her heart skipped immediately he held her hand. It was an indescribable feeling that she has not experienced for long.

She immediately entered the car.

"Drive..." She told the driver. Lingyun stood on the spot confused as he watched the car take off.

Immediately his phone rang. She was the one calling.

"Lingyun, find a way to go home. I'm on my way already.." Her voice boomed and before he could even reply.

"What the heck? That wicked queen?" He muttered and bit his lower lips.
