The Williams mansion was filled to the brim, since he was a popular politician and philanthropist, he had friends and well-wishers in high places all over the world.

Bruce watched his wife, something was different about her tonight. Of cause she looked beautiful as always. she was putting on an orange gown that glued to her body and showed all her curves with white heels to match, her hair was tied to a bun. There was a brightness in her eyes, every second she would look at her tiny gold wrist watch like she was expecting someone. She appeared calm but Bruce knew she was anxious and excited about something.

He was going to deal with her later, right now he needed a way to get William attention. He saw William having small talks with his guests. He grabbed a glass of champagne and slowly walked towards him. He nodded and smiled at familiar faces.

He stopped behind William and tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.

"Mr Williams, what a pleasant surprise."

"Surprise?" William scoffed as he raised his glass of red wine to his lips "You're at my birthday party."

Bruce chuckled. "Pardon me, I was only trying to lighten the mood."

"Mr Bruce I think the mood is lightened up just fine," William paused as realisation hit him "If this is in anyway connected to you wanting me to support your campaign, I'll have you know that I will do no such thing."He said firmly as he gave Bruce a light pat on the shoulder.

"I won't be so sure if I were you," Bruce snapped, clearly annoyed by the pat William had given him on the shoulder. He handed a brown envelope to William "I am certain that your wife and the town would love to see the contents of this envelope, a small gift from me to you."He paused and gulped down his champagne.

"And oh least I forget, thank you in advance for your support, I'll be waiting in the garden, happy birthday" He turned and walked away leaving the confused William.

After Bruce left her alone to attend to business. Sandra walked around the party aimlessly, slow music was being played by a live band. She had politely declined a number of men who wanted to dance with her, she was a nervous wreck and dancing right now would be a disaster. Her eyes constantly looking through the crowd searching for someone, she looked at her wrist watch again for the 100th time and sighed.

"Sandra dear."

Sandra cringed, she prayed desperately that it wasn't who she thought it was but unfortunately she must have offended an Angel cause that prayer wasn't answered.

She faked a smile and turned to the two women standing behind her. Velvet and Jenifer, the Harcourt sisters, both women were like a thorn in Sandra's flesh. Velvet is married to the current mayor and the other divorced.

"Velvet, Jenifer, what a lovely surprise." She exclaimed as she kissed them both on the cheeks.

"Indeed, oh how I have missed you.." Velvet purred as she held Sandra's hand.

Sandra pulled her hand away "I have missed you two, you both look amazing."

"We always look amazing." Jenifer retorted with an air of arrogance. She looked Sandra from head to toe, her eyes judging her.

"Orange looks good on you."

"You would look good in a prison uniform!"

Velvet added. She and her sister laughed at their own little joke.

"Considering how you two are running your mouths, I won't be far from it." Sandra said with a smile.

Their laughter died down immediately and they cleared their throats.

"Why are you a slut?" Jenifer asked rudely, her eyes challenging Sandra.

Sandra remained calm. "What do you mean?"

"You're going around sleeping with men, you know very well that you are married."Velvet replied.

Lord she has had it with this fake friendship, Sandra looked straight at Jenifer.

"It's fun, you should try it sometime..oh..wait..." Sandra pouted "You already did, you cheated on your husband with his 17 year old nephew and your dear husband asked for a divorce, mm I guess cheating isn't for everyone."

She turned to Velvet.

"Velvet dear, do be a good girl and tell your husband that I miss him, I'm sure he misses me too and he said you moan like a cow," She chuckled "Even I don't know how a cow moans, Your family is crazy."

The two sisters scoffed in anger and walked away in shame. Her phone vibrated, she didn't bother checking it. She looked through the crowd searching for Bruce, there was no sign of Bruce.

She smiled, looking around one more time, she turned and headed to the garden...
