1 The Red Diva

Andrea has just finished her shower when her phone rung. She removed her towel from her hair and started drying it with her two hands as she walks towards her study table to pick up her cellphone. She saw Dan's name on the screen and wondered her reason for calling. Usually, Dan love to tell everything in person. When asked why, she said she love to see the person's reaction in personal.

"Hey, what's up?" she answered while continuing to dry her hair until not one drop of water falls from it. She hates people who let the water from their hair drip on the floor. Even its water, still looks messy for her.

"Have you seen the recent post in the University Chatroom?" asked Dan, one of her high school best friends. All five of them who are high school best friends decided to go to the same university together.

"No, not yet." She clipped the phone between her right ear and shoulder as she dried her hair with the towel for the last time then hang it at the back of the chair. She also hates smelly towel. As much as she could she use her towel multiple times, like maybe four days before tossing it to the laundry. Same with jeans and pants, she usually wears them five times. This avoid it from being washed several times, reducing the use of too much water, electricity, detergents, and so on. Plus, she has a lot of clothes, so people don't notice when she uses them again.

"You have to check it, sis!" Dan excitingly exclaimed.

She walked through her walk-in-closet and rummage through her dress cabinet for today's outfit. She chose a tight backless red bodycon dress with long sleeves that reach until the middle of her thigh. It's conservative in front but shows her perfect back. She matched it with black flat boots since she's driving and let her hair down. She doesn't have time to blow dry it anymore. She wore a heart-shaped gold stud earrings and contact lens. Lastly, she painted her lips red and her cheek a shade of pink.

"Okay, okay. Why does it sound like a very good news?" She thought of some news that might intrigue her. If it's nothing to do with her, Dan would not bother her at all plus she's very much excited herself. "Because it is!" enthusiasm is evident on her voice.

"Alright, I will check it later." She ended the call. She sprayed her favorite perfume on her wrist and dab it on both sides of her neck.

She grabbed her phone, bag, keys and ponytail and ran downstairs. She kissed her mom and dad on the cheeks, so it left a lip stain.

"Oh no Andi, you did it again," her mom looked at her trying to sound mad, but her eyes lit up lovingly. Her parents love it when she's sweet to them even when she's seventeen already and still acts like a baby.

"This is why your mother thought I have a mistress", her dad said chuckling and wiping her lip stain.

"Of course, dad. Me and mom should only be the women in your life." She was smiling while literally grabbing some breakfast. She put a slice of bacon in her mouth and eat it with gusto then took paper towels where she put two slices of bread, handful of crispy bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and squeezed some mustard, mayo and catsup in it. She took a big bite, licking the side of her lips for some sauce but didn't lick all of it, swallowed a bit and chugged a glassful of milk.

"You are really ladylike", her father commented amusingly.

"I got it from my momma", she responded with the tune of Black Eyed Peas' song. She smiled then looked at her mom with loving eyes. "Are you sure that's all you're going to eat? We all know that's just a small portion of your appetite," her mom joked.

"Ma, I would love to stay and eat four more sandwiches but I gotta run. You know, first day of class. Running for Pres, and I don't want to show students that it's okay to be late. And I checked my weight, I am already 130 pounds. I need to shake off these baby fats away if I want to be accepted in all the clubs I'm applying." Her parents just looked at each other and smiled but did not utter a word. They know well that whatever their daughter wants, she gets. She always does her best to make sure she deserves everything she got. She doesn't like it when people say they want to have high grades but don't put effort in studying at all.

"Well then, just make sure to drive safely." Her dad warned.

"Of course, dad, don't want to start the semester on wheelchair, aren't we? She joked.

After bidding them goodbye, she went outside and pressed the switch to the garage door. She chose to ride her red Dodge Viper and put its roof up to enjoy today's good weather. Her sandwich now half and smudged lipstick, she put on her black sunglasses. She drove in one hand while eating on the other. She reached the stoplight outside their subdivision. She put her left hand outside and enjoy the heat from the morning sun while eating.

She noticed a blue sports car stopped beside her baby. It's a BMW i8 Coupe. She twitched her lips to form a smile. She also wanted that to add to her babies, in red color, but she needs to prove she's a good girl to her parents so they can just buy it for her. She was about to eat the last piece when the owner of the Coupe honked his horn. Such a disturbance, she thought.
