The Cabin

It was nighttime.

Snow fell on the ground and on the leaves of the trees. I was at a log cabin, in a forest far away from the city. I walked on a wooden floor. It suddenly began to groan. As I walked further, the creaking kept going, becoming louder and louder. I then took another step and fell underneath the floor.

There was a room; it was dark, filled with nothing but a faint light from a nearby bulb. I tried shouting for help from the top of my lungs, but then I remembered that no one was around. With no such contact with anyone else, I was all alone.

After a while, I started to hear voices in my head. It kept whispering things, saying how I was such a fool to everyone. I couldn't stop it. I was slowly being driven by madness and insanity.

It was until then that I saw it.

To be honest, the reason I joined Webnovel is because this very same story, unfortunately, wasn't really doing well on another platform. Most of its views were from me, and I think it's quite underwhelming. Although...the lack of genre categorization is shocking, to me at least.

I'm not sure if I will extend this story though, as I do not currently have any ideas, so I apologize for those that feel like they've been left on a cliffhanger.
