Before The Storm (A Need To Know)

The Year is not 1812, that was just a point mentioned to build up a protagonist that you will hardly get to know. Sure you will be able to see him, but that date is more important as the year the world changed.

In the Year 1812, William B. Levitase created the Sky Ship, an aeronautical sailing ship, that was compatible for both wind and sea travel. Using large ballasts, balloons, propellers and engines the Sky Ship (called a "Spray Jumper" by nautical individuals, and later renamed as a "Wind Sailer" ) is William's commercial masterpiece, which has allowed him to be the driving force in exploration sciences, as well as a pioneer in mechanics. He later released other "unworldly" devices, which also assist in military, home, and economical growth, such as the "Autonomic Pigeon" and the "Self Driving Cart" as well as both the "Bolt Placer" and "Automatic Screwdriver."

Mr. Levitase comes from a half French half English heritage and thus had a hard time fitting in during the war of 1812 and other English against French struggles, so he decided to clearly state whom his allegiance belongs to, crowning the Wind Sailer as an English invention. From the revenue he gained of the high demand products, he was able to buy a plot of land on what is now Parliament Hill, London, and build a three story large, Victorian/Georgian mansion from the years 1830 to 1834. (the end of the Georgian architecture period and beginning of the Victorian era) In the mansion resides one and a quarter score (25) unique servants, of which majority are maids and a few butlers, all governed by the old head butler Coryan, whom has overseen his master William since he was born, and is family in all but name to both his master, and his fellow strange servants.

Coryan, as before mentioned in the previous paragraph, is the head butler of the mansion, which I forgot mention is named "Clockwork Castle" by William, despite its complete lack of resemblance to a castle. Coryan, is nearing the end of his time, as he is in his late 60's, and is searching for a successor to take his place, instead of searching for someone who is well familiar to the household and its rules, Coryan, is searching for someone who can fill in his place to the fullest, and thus is hunting high and low to find the perfect one.

As previously mentioned, the servants of Clockwork Castle are, to be put simple, 'unique'. Now, because this is an explanatory chapter, we aren't going to be simple, each servant is what would have been viewed as monsters, deformed beings or even an abomination, when simply each one is a demon from Hell, yes that Hell, and just in case you didn't see the first two times, HELL. There is a large misconception about these demons though, these guys don't go burning cities down to the ground in their spare time, these are the kind which are more of a nuisance to the lords of the underworld aside from simple playthings, they can range from the lowest of imps to the once highest of demon knights. When a demon is left to reside in the mortal realm, they take on a mortal like appearance, as well as a mortal's lifespan.

Now I know someone is wondering what Coryan is, and so I am going to ignore your unspoken question as it is answered later (or maybe I just am a planning allergic savage, but just maybe). With that I believe that its time to kick open the doors, bust off the locks, release the mooring lines and set sail into the story.

If anyone still has questions I beg that you not ask them until I have gotten into the first 50 chapters, so maybe write them down on a notepad somewhere and forget about it until you are trying to free up space on your computer or lose the notepad.

Oh also I apologize to any short sentence enthusiasts out there.
