Feeling the string of information enter his mind, Shu Himo's heart was in pain for the loss of BS points. A moment later, he noticed that Aura Azusa and Phylia were walking closer, and Aura Azusa had a puzzled expression.

"How did you knew that there was a gem here?" Unlike Phylia, she did not know the existence of the system, so it was natural that she was puzzled about it.

Her question startled Shu Himo, should he explain to her or use an excuse?

Pondering about it, he realized that the worst choice he could make was lying to her, she was not stupid and would soon or later realize the truth, which would destroy the trust they possessed toward each other, or at best would force him to reveal the existence of the system anyway.

While he did not yet learn about her past, he noticed that sometimes she appeared hesitating over something, and believing someday she would talk about it he decided to not ask her, wanting to wait until she made the decision by herself.

If it was another person, he would not even consider risking anything by exposing the system and simply reply with an excuse instead, but she was different, being someone who he deeply trusted.

Considered all of this, he decided to reveal the existence of the system, even if only a part of it.

Having decided to not lie, he had to find a solution.

Pondering for a moment, he found an idea, why not abuse the existence of the contract function? 'System, can you change the warning of her contract from killing her to only stopping her like for Ifera Runa?'

Having the approval from the system, Shu Himo smiled, with the help from the contract, there was no risk for information about the system being known by others, while at the same time he could refrain from lying.

He then stared at her while thinking, 'Contract!'.

After a couple moments, in front of Aura Azusa appeared a display.

Seeing the display in front of her, Aura Azusa was dumbfounded, just what was this bullsh*t system? An item that Shu Himo had? Another being which works with him?

Even if curious, she attentively read the contract and, seeing that there were restrictions she felt disappointed, believing that Shu Himo did not really trust her.

Not wanting to learn such important secret from him until he really trusted her, she was about to refuse the contract, however, looking once again toward Shu Himo, she noticed that his pupils were slightly shaking and his fists were clenched, staring at her clearly anxious about her choice.

She was startled, why was he so worried? Continuing to stare at him, she felt that in truth he deeply trusted her, yet he was scared of the possibility, although almost inexistent, to be betrayed.

Thinking back at the cold reaction he had against the three who abandoned their parents in the capital of the ex-Remir Kingdom, she realized that Shu Himo got most likely already betrayed in the past, and was presumably traumatized by it.

Lastly, considering the implication of something such as such secret being known to others, which could cause greed even on Longevity Realm experts, she understood why he was using the contract.

Knowing all that, she felt that just revealing the existence of the system was a sign of deep trust from him, and her expression could not help but grow into a warm smile.

Looking at Shu Himo, she placed her right hand on her chest and vowed, even if in her own way, "Did you thought that I, Aura Azusa, would reveal a secret entrusted to me by you? There is no chance for something like that to happen!"

Having made her declaration, she immediately accepted the contract, as if proving her own words.

Hearing her declaration, Shu Himo was stunned for a moment, but then smiled, feeling relieved… he was delighted that she accepted.

"Let's return to the city, I will explain everything there… we don't know if this place has some type of surveillance." While he believed that Ifera Runa would not do anything due to the bet, if there was someone else looking the inside of the tower, it would risk exposing the existence of the system.

Aura Azusa and Phylia nodded in response, and the three walked toward the exit of the tower, going toward the opposite city of the one they came from. Obviously, they believed that it would be boring going back to an already visited city, so they decided to go toward the other one.
