Chapter Thirty-Three

Marvin, Minnow, and I all helped prepare the patients for travel. It didn't take very long, but worry for the journey to come was eating away at me. When Marvin explained why the General was risking this to me, it made sense. But that didn't mean that I was happy with the idea of moving so many severely injured patients.

We were instructed to load everyone into the covered wagons that General Bludborne had prepared. His instructions were four patients to one healer, with a knight at the reigns. The only other specific instructions that he gave were that I had to be the healer assigned to Wellsworth. It's a bit of an odd request since everyone chosen to go is skilled, but I wasn't going to argue. I'm the one who stitched the Luietenant up, so I knew what kind of care he'd need on the trip.
