The Broken Soldier

Family life is the best thing, a newly wedded couple goes out for a honeymoon dinner at a restaurant.

Which is attacked by insurgents, who tells everyone to lay down as they start shooting at everyone and everything in the restaurant.

Richard a soldier on holiday tries to save everyone, because it is his duty to keep everyone safe.

He kills five and in turn gets himself shot on the chest. When his wife Rea tries to help him, she gets herself shot in front of his eyes, in rage he tries to get up instead he is shot in the chest again three times and left for dead , he is rushed to the hospital.

After being rushed to the hospital, he is

treated, and taken to the ward.

A month later he gains consciousness he recalls the incident and shouts his wife's name "Rea,Rea,Rea,Rea", his mother calls the doctor, the machines he was put to help him while he was in coma are removed.

A week later, he is fully conscious and the doctor explains "Sir this doesn't look good, the damaged caused by the bullets have injured your spine."

Richard asks " when will I be able to walk again".

Doctor, " I'm sorry the damage is permanent, it is irreversible, the neurons in the spinal cord cannot communicate with the ones in the brain".

The doctor then leaves.

He is discharged and goes home on the wheelchair.

The defense meeting is called to address the disaster addressed by the Minister of Defense , to address how they can prevent the disaster that occured months ago.

The commander , Hanson who is the chief commander, suggest they strike the insurgents directly , but the suggestion is override by the secretary of state Douglas,who suggest a better plan because, that will be war on the country harboring the terrorists , but suggest a secret mission , that the government create a Super Elite soldier.

"This soldier can go behind enemy lines undetected, his fast and ready for any risks that is ".

The commander mocks him and says " this is a real life matter and you are here telling us about comics".

After that he is given a go ahead by the Minister. The secretary then tells his team, the team leader disagree with using a normal soldier because he might be crippled if the experiment don't go as planned but a crippled one would be ideal.

And leaves the meeting, then the secretary of state and co suggest a crippled soldier who is Richard.

But, that night, Richard's home is attacked by thieves, who beats him up has the mother tries to help him, the thieves beats her up also, and gets her necklace while threatening to kill her if she doesn't, while laying down in misery, he couldn't do anything but watch his mother being helpless.

When the thieves, leave his mother asks him if he is alright, and tears roll down his face.

The next day, the secretary of defense comes to his home , and asks him " are you ready to get back in the army."

he responds " Sir, stop mocking me, I would love to but I can't because I can't move again the doctor said it is permanent."

secretary ," We have a program that will help you get back to your feet, and be faster, stronger and will be able to live a normal life but the risk of failure is high".

He replies," what are the risks".

Secretary, "20/80".

him not bad, he is then given the documents of the procedure.

The Secretary leaves, and he tells his mother the good news.

The next day the procedure his being done, but his blood pressure rises above normal and the people doing the pressure ask if they should stop but the secretary says "he knows the risks continue,."

They go on, when they continue he stabilizes, and the procedure is finally done.

When he regains consciousness, the director Chenille, comes by and explains what was put inside his body, and how it works say" You have been planted a chip in your body, which his a super chip which will help your spine and brain communicate help you move and fight".

He has a headache and explains to her and she says " its they system trying to communicate with your brain, you can try rising your hand to divert the pain".

He tries but fails, she tells him to try once more but he still fails, then has she leaves he raises his hand to his head the secretary sees him and he calls her back and they are glad that it worked.

The system speaks to him saying "Hi I'm IRA, welcome and I'm at your service".

He is shocked and ask the director what it is she explains to him.

He then tries to walk but fails, after that he manages to walk.

And the move to the next phase the upgrade, after the upgrade, he is told to test it by going for a test drive, and he is told he has records and locations of criminals in his head.

Richard then looks for the thieves that stole his mothers necklace, when he finds them he says " give me back the necklace, they say how is a cripple been able to walk , and tells him if you want the necklace you should pay, he gets the money, and they say add more.

Instead he say," this is the money for your hospital bill".

he beats one of them the other runs to call his friends, he returns with 10 friends armed with weapons on there hands.

Richard tells IRA to just watch, and she stops functioning and he is unable to fight, he tells" no I never said go off , I said watch me fight." then she switches on fight mode, as he fights she calculates the stitches of each punch kick.

As soon as he is done fighting he is told no fatalities, mild injuries, but before she finishes the police arrives and start chasing him, he runs in the building and he has no where to run, as the police approach he asks IRA what to do.

She then tells him to jump over the building you will fall in a truck that's coming it is safe, he hesitates, but the police start shooting and he jumps and falls in the truck and the system goes off because of force landing.
