A dark laugh roars out of him, as he folded his arms still looking at the 8yr old girl challenging him but all of it for some reason still doesn't faze me

a slight smile still on his face as he slowly closes in

" no worry little bird, it will be all over before u know it" he says

instead of a frightened look, I give him an unthreatened smile.

his own smile suddenly fades

" so what can u do?" he sounded a bit curious and confused at my reaction.

'what?' I say in my head, a little bit confused but I tried to not let it show

"are u a demon child too? " he asks with a complicated expression. "you brought your little friends here to eat them, right?"

'NO!!! you bastard!' but of course I can't voice it out " yeah I did, but... you thieves " I say with a deep frown trying to hide what I had in heart

he lowers himself to the ground, and holds his ear with one hand while turning on that annoying smile of his

"sawy we took your meal, we didn't know soon enough"

' is he... teasing me?'

"how did you know what I was " I ask him

"Well, the only ones who can have the guts to challenge one of us someone is..... someone like us " he says with a cooler look on his face

he actually looks more like a human now that he's not smiling and showing those scary teeth.... that's the only non human thing about him though. but I can't help but think..

'don't these things have some kind of sensor in their brain that tells them who is human and who is not?, Coz if not I am in great luck'

'or could he just be playing Oblivion to make a fool out of me?'

" you are kinda different from your friends who ate my dinner" I continue the conversation just to stall

he smirks and says

" you think?"

that's all he says

he straightens himself and walks passed me

'wait, what? he's leaving? I need to confirm something before he leaves'

" having a sensor for knowing who is human and who is not should be a thing" I say it in a way he can't suspect me.

I can't let him know that i'm human so i make the question sound like I know it already

" don't make fun of me kid"

" but no lie it should be" he then turns to look at me, his expression as if he just realized something but then he smiles again but this awkwardly " you shouldn't keep grudges too much kid... ever heard of sharing" he says

" yeah right" I say as i roll my eyes, his answer makes me more sure that they couldn't tell the difference... but I can't make it a conclusion yet
