Calmness before the storm I

When Lei Hua went home, the house was so quiet, even the sound of her soft breathing is resonating in the big mansion

"Where is everyone?" she asked Gun Tei who was behind her carrying Chun Yao in his arms.

"I sent them away" Gun Tei simply answered to which made Lei Hua roll her eyes

"There is still no room for the babies" She softly said as she asked she signaled Chang Xi to stop pushing her

"The room next to yours is still unoccupied madame" Chang Xi replied.

"En, we should covert that into a nursery and connect the room to mine"

Chang Xi and Lei Hua kept on talking forgetting the dark-faced Gun Tei behind them.

"They should be next to my room" he announced which made the lively conversation between the two woman halt

"Can you breastfeed them? If yes then go ahead keep them with you" Lei Hua coldly said which made Chang Xi choke on her own saliva.

"You have a big courage Xi Lei Hua" Gun Tei angrily said which made Lei Hua smile smugly

"I have nothing to lose dear husband"

"SSSSHHH" Lei Hua softly said as she taps Chen Lei to sleep

"You noisy brat" she added and chuckled.

Among the twins Chen Lei is the one who cries more, Chun Yao is a very calm baby and can sleep through the noise of her brother's wailing.

The door to her room opened revealing a red-eyed Gun Tei, it seems like he had just woken up and she knew that Chen Lei is the very reason why.

"They are still not used to the house" she explained apologetically

As far as she remembered Gun Tei agreed the owner's wish to keep the baby alive with the condition that she and her future child would stay out of his way

"I will soundproof the room as early as possible so that they won't disturb your sleep" she offered which made Gun Tei's face be filled with displease

"I came here to check on them," he said.

When he checked Chun Yao on her cot, he also went near Chen Lei and stared at him

"Ugly," he said while looking at the crying mess his son is.

He prefers Chun Yao, she looks like Lei Hua but compared to his wife, her daughter is cuter and more peaceful.

"He looks like you" Lei Hua retorted which made Gun Tei annoyed

He was about to get out of the door when he turned around and went straight to her bed.

"Where are you going?" she asked with annoyance

"Sleep" he answered and covered himself with the blanket.
