2 Chapter 2

A small wooden boat slowly bobbed up and down in the vast blue waters. Sunshine flew down from the ball of fire, destroying every possible piece of shade the shabby ship could possibly make. A little wolf-eared girl found herself floating on this boat, crying and sobbing one word for days. "Dada."

One day passed, and tears fell from her cheeks.

Two days passed, and her tears dried up.

Three days passed, and a drop of rain fell on her dark gray hair. Then another drop, then another until rain fell nonstop on the poor little girl stuck on her shabby wooden boat.

During the fourth day, the sun shone again, drying up the rain. The little girl looked up towards the sun as she cried again but this time was saying "Mama" instead of "Dada" she floated for days, barely surviving with the water she and her dad packed for the one-day trip.

The little girl took off her jacket and hung it over her head between the two-seat-like boards that connected both sides of the shabby boat to protect herself from the beating sun. No more fish performed tricks for her as her boat slowly floated into the ocean. The waves became stronger, and the winds picked up. It was like the ocean was turning against her. The waves grew, and the beautiful water turned savage. Lightning crackled at some point as the little girl hugged her legs underneath her jacket.

There was no rain, just high winds, and lightning but that was dangerous enough for this little girl stuck in the ocean. She cried once more every time she heard the thunder boom across the sea. Water flung itself into the boat as the waves grew, and the little girl hugged her legs tighter.

"BOOOOOOM" A white light enveloped the little girl for a split second as a loud bang resounded in the area.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH" she screamed as lightning kept pouring down next to her boat. The waves grew even higher, reaching abnormal heights. Then after what felt like an eternity of this blue hell. Everything stopped. The waves stopped growing and shrunk. Lightning stopped falling, and the sun shone again. It was peaceful. The little girl sniffled for a day, mumbling incomprehensible words.

Then she slowly got up. She wobbled as she stood from her position. The ocean was still as she looked around with dry eyes and parched lips. Her hair was also dry but rough as well. She walked towards the edge of the boat and looked down at the clear water. Tiny fish swam in schools, and turtles floated among them.

The little girl stared at the ocean life as she sat on the edge of the boat, swinging both her legs. Her head was down as she thought about her parents and the precious life she used to live. She thought about how badly she wanted to go back to it.

'Will I ever go back?' She thought to herself as she adjusted herself and sat back in the boat. She was still young. Stuck and didn't know what to do but never let go of whatever hope she had.

Days continued to go by. She drank rainwater that occasionally fell and rationed the snacks that she had initially brought.

One day, when the sun had barely started to wake up, the wolf-eared girl was staring at the water again. There isn't much you can do stranded in the ocean, and the little girl discovered that very soon as she just decided to watch the ocean life swim in mesmerizing circles. She found a turtle, a baby floating on the top of the water with its belly poking towards the sky. Its little fins were flailing around as it slowly made its way towards the shabby little boat.

The little girl watched as the little turtle struggled to flip over again, smiling at something new. She thought to herself that she wasn't the only one struggling right now. Many were struggling, maybe not as bad as her but still struggling.

She reached her hand out towards the turtle as the boat slowly floated by the little green guy. Picking it up and placing it in the water the right way up. The turtle squeaked a cute squeak as it thanked the little girl and dove down towards the ocean.

The little girl managed a weak smile as she watched the turtle disappear into the depths. Then seconds later, where the turtle swam down, a giant white shark came out. Blood oozed out from the corners of its mouth as it swam up towards the shabby little boat.

The wolf-eared girl scrambled away from the edge with wide eyes and picked up a wooden spear that was packed in the gear that her father brought with her.

"Boom" The boat lunged and swayed. A loud noise erupted from the bottom of the ship as the structure barely held.

Seconds passed as the little girl held her breath, standing as still as a deer in a headlight. The breeze blew her dark gray hair, and the sun shone on the little boat. Silence.

Then again, "BOOOM" Harder this time, the side of the boat cracked and lunged forward, slightly coming out of the water. Water slowly seeped in through the new crack as the boat calmed down from the massive impact.

Silence reigned over the ocean once more as the little girl waited for the following impact. She gripped her spear tighter as she slowly walked towards the edge of the boat to check if the shark disappeared.

Right as she looked over the edge, all she could see was a massive mouth filled with layers of sharp yellow teeth.

"AHHHHHHHH" She screamed. "Crunch" half of the boat's side disappeared. The wolf-eared little girl barely jumped out of the way before the behemoth could eat her. Water flowed into the boat, it slowly sunk into the ocean.

Horrified, the little girl held her spear even harder and prepared for the worst. She points it towards the new hole in the side of the boat, closing her eyes, preparing for her vision to go dark.

Silence once again.

Lunge, the massive creature, shot out of the water straight towards the spearhead. The tip stabbed straight through the shark's nose, and the little girl was dragged underwater with the spear and the shark.

She opens her eyes and saw blue all around her. Tightening her grip, she saw a horrifying scene, the shark was right in front of her, barely out of her reach because of the spear. Then the shark shook. The little girl was flung from the spear and into the blue abyss, ripe for the shark.

She struggled to look towards the shark as she kicked and flailed her arms to reach the surface. To her surprise, though, the shark turned away from her. Looking towards a massive sea turtle that had its mouth stabbed into the shark's side.

Blood filled the sea as the two creatures duked it out. The shark bit and charged at the massive turtle slamming its body against the turtle's dark green shell. The turtle turned and bit out chunks of the shark, shredding the creature. Shark fins and muscles filled the ocean after a long fight between the two goliaths. An injured white shark dejectedly swam towards the dark blue depths of the sea as blood seeped from its wounds.

The wolf-eared girl watched this as she floated on the top of the water. She was holding onto a wooden board that was separated from the sunken boat.

The turtle slowly swam up towards the little girl and nudged her with its massive head, beckoning for her to climb on its back. The little girl floated frozen from fear for a long time before she slowly climbed on the turtle's back.

The green beast looked back at the girl, slowly nodding before swimming towards the ocean's horizon.

The little girl rode on the creature as the wind blew through her wet hair. Red stains were present on her wet clothes as she tightly held onto the creases in the turtle's shell. She closed her eyes as the turtle continued onward. Little turtles appeared from the depths of the sea as they swam next to the giant creature. Cute squeaks could be heard every now and then as the tiny turtles came up for air.

After 2 days of swimming, a dot was seen on the horizon. The turtle nudged the sleeping wolf-eared girl, startling her awake. She slowly looked up as she saw a white boat with a large sail. The ship tilted with the wind as it slowly moved towards the pack of turtles, and the turtles swam towards the ship.

As the boat got closer, the turtle slowed down and slowly sunk into the ocean. The wold-eared girl was left floating in the ocean as the sailboat slowly made its way towards her.

As the boat got closer, a middle-aged man with no ears on his head poked his head out from the cabin and ran over towards the edge of the ship. "What the hell!"
