10 Chapter 10

Rura and Judie were stuck in the warehouse with nowhere to go. They nervously looked around as they sat inside the lidless boxes.

A green door could be seen flying open as the previously irritated guy from the cell room anxiously ran towards his boss's office. He was holding a rusted bent metal bar and looking around as if trying to find something.

He gave up after a few seconds and continued towards his boss's offices. He slowed down partially once he got to the door opening it, and walking to the middle of the room.

A bald man could be seen smoking a joint as he looked at a painting of the statue of liberty. "Who gave you the balls to barge into my office?" The bald man asked as he slowly turned towards the now anxious man. He stared at him for a few seconds. "And why are you holding a metal bar?" He asked in a somewhat confused manner.

The anxious man set the metal bar down on his boss's desk. "I found this in the cell room along with an empty cell." He said somewhat nervously. He didn't know if his boss would blame him for letting a few girls go.

"Who was in the cell?" The bald man asked as he stared at the rusted bar on his desk. He slowly picked it up and threw it on the wall!

"Bam!" The metal bar fell from the wall, a small chunk of concrete fell alongside it.

The anxious man gulped. "They were two little girls. One had gray hair, and the other was blonde," he responded with his head down. The bald man's brows raised at this. He slowly stood up as he asked another question. "Did one of them have animal ears on?"

The anxious man slowly nodded his head as he lowered it further towards the floor. "IDIOT!" The bald man yelled! He quickly stepped out of his office and shot his gun in the air. "Muscle heads!" He yelled, "There are a few escapees! Find them, and you'll get a 10,000 bonus!" The bald man turned back towards the anxious man, who was now staring at the bald man.

"This is coming out of your paycheck." said the bald man as he turned back around before he shot the anxious man's leg.

"Bang!"

Rura and Judie heard this as they hid inside the mountain of boxes. Men could now be seen shuffling around the warehouse as they looked inside all of the merchandise.

The duo slowly started moving as soon as they saw a few people getting close to their hiding spot. Judie was lightly sobbing as Rura was sweating all over. They both were super scared. They passed by tons of items inside the boxes. Stuffed animals, white sand, green leaves, guns, plastic toys all sorts of random items were packed within the boxes as they shuffled slowly away from the searchers.

Judie followed close behind Rura as they moved. Then Judie suddenly tripped, a small crash resounded in the quiet warehouse. An echo could be heard as Judie anxiously stood up and looked around. Multiple pairs of eyes stared at the two little girls as they stood still inside the box.

Then the pairs of eyes started sprinting towards the little girls. Yells resounded in the area. The gagsters pointed towards the little girls. People climbed the mountain of boxes, trying to be the first one to catch the duo. Judie and Rura scrambled up the boxes as they tried to think up a way to escape.

Rura had to help Judie climb, as she wasn't as fast as her. That slowed them down a bit, but they still kept their distance from the other climbers. The duo slowly climbed their way up towards the top of the stackable package boxes eventually and looked down at the dozens of men staring at them with greedy eyes.

Judie and Rura cried as the men got closer and closer to them. A fairly skinny man eventually made his way to the top and stood in front of the girls. He reached out and grabbed Judie as he laughed to himself, imagining himself bathing in the 10,000 dollars he was about to earn.

But Rura grabbed Judie's other arm. The skinny man felt like he started pulling a mountain as Rura grabbed Judie's other arm. He began to pull harder, and Judie started to cry louder.

The skinny man eventually let go of Judie and pushed her to the side. He stared at Rura and lunged at her. Rura barely managed to dodge to the man's left. She then released a wicked kick to the man's knee.

"SNAP!" The man fell as he grabbed his knee. A curse came out of his mouth as he desperately tried to punch Rura. Rura again dodged the man and kicked him once again in the crotch, flinging him off the mountain of boxes.

"DUD!" His body landed on the gravel floor, and a low and painful moan resounded throughout the warehouse.

The previously climbing gangsters slowed down their climb as they looked towards the man sprawled out on the floor.

"Shit..." Some random person said as everyone stared at the poor dude. Everyone gulped some saliva, and a few held their balls in sympathy.

They all turned their heads back towards the unassuming gray-haired little girl. Some started climbing down, giving up, and surrounding the pile of boxes just in case the little girls escape from the top. A few others took out their guns and climbed higher but at a much more reserved pace.

They all seriously stared at the little girl and waited for others to arrive at the top once they made their way up.

Eventually, after a few minutes, 8 men surrounded the two little girls. They slowly approached the two kids, making sure they didn't turn into the next Jeff.

Judie fell to the ground as she started crying nonstop. Large tears fell from her face.

Rura kept standing as she stared at the men around her. Her body shook as she barely stood her ground.

The bald man's body slowly became visible. He climbed up the mountain and stood outside the circle of men. "Hahaha, you little shits thought you could run from me?" He asked as he smiled a cheeky grin at the two little kids. He was partially pissed and embarrassed. One of his crew members just got knocked down by a 7-year-old girl. He had to make up for this somehow. He didn't want to be the laughingstock of the mafia.

He shook his head and placed his fingers on the bridge of his nose. 'At least I'll make some money.' He thought to himself, he eventually opened his eyes and continued to stare at the little girls. The circle around them continued to shrink.

Second's felt like minutes as the men slowly shrank the circle around Judie and Rura. They first grabbed Judie and placed her out of the way before they placed all their attention on Rura. Rura stood alone in the center of the circle. Tears welled up in her eyes, 7 year old's are not supposed to go through such events.

The men suddenly all lunged at her. She felt like she was going to die. She was so scared she stood frozen in place. Then a hand touched her. She looked down and saw someone grabbing her hand. It looked familiar, almost like it had always been in her life. She looked up at the owner of the hand, and she saw her dad. He stood smiling at her. The sun was shining behind him. Then he suddenly let go of her arm and disappeared.

The previous scene came back to Rura's eyes. She saw 8 men lunging towards her. Tears welled in her eyes as her knees fell towards the ground. As her knees touched the ground, it shook. An earthquake resounded across the whole city, it was much stronger than the previous one. The 8 men lost their balance and fell to the floor.

Rura wept for a few seconds, then opened her eyes, "NOOOOOOOO!" She screamed. Explosive winds shook the warehouse as every single person inside the warehouse flew sky high into the air. Judie was an exception. She stopped crying on the ground as she stared in amazement with watery eyes at the incredible spectacle.

Every single pursuer took flight and landed on the ground in a loud thud. None of them got up. They all laid on the floor, some as still as stone and others slightly moving in pain.

Rura slowly got up as she looked at the scene before her. The tears she felt before started to wash away slowly. She looked towards Judie to check if she was okay. To her surprise, Judie was standing with a weak smile on her face. Tear stains filled her face, but she still got up.

She ran over to Rura and gave her a big hug. She released herself after a few seconds and took out two metallic balls to show to Rura. "My broth-er, uses... Th-ese in hi...s games." Judie barely managed to eek out.

Rura took one of the grenades from Judie's hands. "How do... w-e use it?" She asked. She was slightly more stable than Judie at the moment.

Judie then slowly took the pinout of the grenade and chucked it towards the large metallic wall.

"BOOOOOM!" The grenade released a shockwave and a miniature explosion.

They both stared for a few seconds at the aftermath before Rura nodded her head and followed Judie's example.

"BOOOOOM!" A second explosion resounded throughout the warehouse, and the wall fell towards the floor. The little girls scrambled down the mountain of boxes and ran over the felled wall.

They sprinted out of the warehouse and saw a hysterical Anna waving her hands at them!

Rura pulled Judie towards Anna, and they both jumped in the car and zoomed away as Jonathan put the pedal to the metal.
