The Gambler

At the same time and place. Adeline was waiting for Ryan at the little bar. She sat in a boss-like position. Ryan show himself and sat in front of Adeline.

"I followed what you said. Now what are you going to do?"

Ryan asked Adeline to come back here. He still can't accept her request and he want to compete one more time. If Adeline wins, Ryan will join as her men. 

"We'll play cards. Can you play cards?" While giving the card to Adeline.

"Of course."

Their match started again. Everyone returned to pay attention their fierce match. Ryan won the first round for issuing a Full House card.

"Four of Kind."

Adeline won the second round. Everyone cheered on Adeline. Ryan face looked really mad, but he didn't show his expression and continued his match. Between games, Adeline spoke before pulling out her cards.

"You are smart but I will win this match."

"What does it mean?"

While taking out the last card, Adeline chuckle and said. "Royal- Straight-Flush."

Pause for a moment in surprise. Adeline won the match fairly. Everyone cheered and then clapped.

His face looks ordinary. He was neither very happy, nor sad. People started talking about it. Ryan the gambler, won by a woman.

"So his nickname is Ryan the gambler? No wonder you are often in bars and casinos. In accordance with the agreement. Come to this place. I'll wait there, see you."

Adeline came out of the bar with Andreas and then covered her face again with a rob. She walked over with full of joy.

"Yes, Miss."

A few hours after the game. Ryan was at an inn. He searching something looking at a piece of paper given by Adeline. He knocked on the door and Andreas opened.

"Ryan, welcome." said Adeline.

Ryan face looked confused. Adeline hold his hand it and put a glass of beer in a glass. Food and drink were provided to celebrate Ryan arrival.

"What's this?" With a confused face.

"Hm? Of course we celebrate your arrival."

They toast each other. Ryan wanted to ask, but Adeline kept putting beer in his glass. At that moment, Ryan stopped her by stomping his hand against the table.

"I haven't said that I want to be your men."

Things got tense. When Ryan took his robe and headed towards the door. She called out to him, he turned and looked at her.

"Come here."

Ryan didn't want to and continued to be at the door. Adeline orders Andreas to take Ryan. Andreas walked towards him with a sword. Ryan knelt in front of Adeline. She just smiled warmly and sweetly.

"Why don't you want? Ryan the gambler."

Ryan tried to get up, but Andreas stopped him with his sword. Adeline just waiting for his answer with a smile. Ryan had no choice and said in an irritated tone.

"Of course, I don't know you. Glory? dignity? And making dreams come true? Can you make the dreams I want come true?"

Adeline didn't move until she said in her soft voice. "What is the dream you want to fulfill?"

There was silence. He was surprised by Adeline words. He saw her face, which looked relaxed. He stood up and Andreas stop him with his sword again. Ryan doesn't care and ends up getting his hand injured by his sword.

Ryan glared at her, left the room, before opening the door. He whispered a little word.

"Come to the suburbs tonight."

He didn't say goodbye. I told Andreas not to go overboard with him. I thought about what he said.

Suburbs? On the edge of town? You are more difficult than I expected, even more complicated. What is he really thinking?

Should I amaze you? Is that so, you will become one of my men?

"It's all too hard than I expected."

The night has come. They are waiting on the edge of town. Suddenly a dagger headed towards Adeline and Andreas stopped it with his sword. Ryan headed toward them with a clap. When Adeline wanted to talk, He shushed her and ordered them to come with him.

On the way, they arrived at a noble mansion. Ryan opened his robe, underneath that he was wearing formal clothes.

"You a nobleman?"

"Yes, the second child of the Count of the Hadel family."

Ryan led them at the door of his mansion. The servants lined up at the door and give a bow. They come into a room. Sat on a magnificent chair. Prepare some tea as a friend to talk and then the conversation is start.

"I will be your men. On one condition. Can you make me the heir to the Hadel family?"

"...Why you want to be the family heir?"

He didn't answer my question. He seemed to have thought of something deep. He drank the tea then looked at Andreas.

"Is this man also a noble?"

Andreas answered in his cold voice, "If so, what would you do?"

"If so, what would you do if you wanted to be the heir of the family?"

Andreas answered casually. If he really wanted to be the heir. He will do various ways to get it, as Adeline said. We can take the glory, no matter what happen.

Ryan looks very impressed by Andreas words. He ask Adeline what she thinks and where she can get Andreas?

"I can get Andreas is not important right now. My opinion about this. I will definitely seek clearer information and plans and then kill the person." Adeline said with a bitter face.
