18 Game Over

Andreas seemed pretend not see anything. He said that the third match would start in a few minutes. Now is the time that everyone will go to rest. He has prepared lunch for me. I thanked him too and then told Andreas to sit down.

Not able to speak because awkward moment. Adeline just continued eating and see Andreas who didn't speak a single word. She finnaly took the some courage. 

"Well, Miss Cosette and Mr. Jeremy seem to be hiding something."

"Yes, I feel it too."

Andreas is the type of person who won't talk about anything that isn't his business. Thank goodness he didn't ask about that. I'm lucky to have someone like this.

A few moment after Adeline discussed with Andreas. The third match started and will be held in pairs riding a horse. Jeremy with Cosette and Ryan with me. Ride a horse through the forest and hills then come back safe. They're going to the west side. There's a fort who waiting for them. The fort is the finish line.

Count Hadel seemed wanted get rid one of his sons to die. These forests and mountains are difficult places to pass. There are so many traps and it has claimed many victims.

Ryan hesitated for a moment. His hands trembled, I held his hands tightly. We ride horses together. Each pair will go through a different forest path. All that is done so as not to make one of the players cheating.

"Does the first son often come to the forest?" Asked Adeline while looking at Ryan.

"Yes, Brother Jeremy has often been go to the forest. Maybe he remembers all way out." 

Why did the count create a race that he's son already knew about his plans? Something looks so odd.

In a forest, Adeline and Ryan meet lots of animals. They even encountered a cliff. Count Hadel did want to kill one of the heirs. This old man is troublesome.

"Are you okay with this?"

"Sure, I'm fine. Just focus on riding the horse."

Andreas? I told him to keep waiting. Count Hadel also said, if one of us did not return before sunset. We will lose the third match.

"That guy named Andreas. Do you have a special relationship with him?"

Adeline was surprised by his words. Looking back slowly. Ryan stopped the horse. They stare at each other.

"Andreas and I..."

Adeline looked at the bear's claw on Ryan's hand. She unleashed divine power to heal his wounds. Ryan only saw Adeline who was focus her wound and kept looking at her. He was speeches again.

"It's finished, can you still go on?..... Ryan?"

"Ah...yes."

Before leaving, I looked at the bear. Another arrow is around his neck. The arrow contained a light poison. It doesn't kill, but it hurts if hit. Who? who did it?

Their horses are running away. They were forced to walk towards the finish line. The two of them kept on walking, they were realize that the sun was starting to set.

The sun has started to set? We can still win the game. Keep on trying, Adeline Von Lawrence. My eyes feel heavy. My body is not strong enough to walk. I saw Ryan in front of me. I held a big tree to take a deep breath.

"Adeline?!"

Ryan headed her way. She almost lost consciousness. Ryan lifted it on his back. He ran towards the fort. Adeline saw Ryan back from behind. Keep running, make Adeline hair is untied.

My body feels weaker. Is it because of divine power? You are weak, you are so weak.

"Miss Adeline??!!"

I lost consciousness for a moment. The last thing I remember. We came to finish line safely. Andreas headed towards me with a worried face. When I woke up. I already in my room with Andreas who hugged me and said. 

"I shouldn't have let you there."

Adeline returned his hug while apologizing and Andreas said the announcement of the third match was postponed due to my condition. It will be announced after the meeting with Count Hadel.

"Is that so? Should we talk now?" 

Waiting in a room with Cosette. Her looked happy. It was clear that Jeremy and Cosette won the match. However, a meeting was held for a clearer determination. Count Hadel come with his two sons. Starting the conversation, Adeline said that they were attacked by a bear. After that, they walked towards the fort by force. 

"Two arrows were found on the bear body."

Ryan explains that the other arrow belongs to Adeline. Jeremy also said that at that time, Cosette didn't carry any weapon. Only Jeremy carries a sword. She began to speak mockingly of Adeline. It is said that Adeline deliberately attacked the bear, possibly to kill Jeremy and herself.

I only pay attention to those who are arguing. Disgusted by the situation, Andreas and I just stared at them.

"Excuse me, may I see the other arrow?"

"Of course, Miss Sasha."

The storyline is like this. First Adeline and Ryan entered the forest. Every couple has gone through a different path. Adeline also asked that Jeremy often went to the forest. So he followed us from behind, accidentally catching a bear. He made an arrow and ordered Cosette to shoot.

"What do you mean? Do you have a proof?" Cosette in an irritated tone.

"I already said that right? This arrow has a magic and divine power. For someone who studies magic, it must be able to feel the magic. Like you who accused me of stealing diamonds."

Count Hadel asked his first son. Jeremy looked scared. I forgot to say, Count Hadel is a vile man and will not let go of his prey until he has it.

The first son began to rebel against Count Hadel. He running towards the hallway of the mansion. I ordered Andreas to chase him, without Count Hadel noticing. He cast his magic and then kill his own son in front of us. I saw count Hadel in speechless. He smiled at me and kissed my hand.

"Can you officially introduce yourself?"

Adeline gave a warm smile and gaze to him. "My name is Adeline Von Lawrence. Daughter of Duke Lawrence."
