“We emptied it out. Why?” The officer managed to get them to the vicinity of the city hall. He let Esperanza down. “Look, just ask the people inside. I have to help out after getting ammo from the Sheriff’s Office. Go inside now, Mr. Clifford. Hurry.”

“Dad! Anne! Aliyah!” Augustus called out as he ran up to them from another direction. He caught Esperanza, who ran to him for a hug. “How are the gates?”

“Not good. It’s been breached.” The officer huffed, only to gasp when Augustus opened his backpack and gave loaded clips to the officer. “Thanks. I’ll head back now.”

“Actually, stay here. I saw the Divine Bride running to this place. Also… strange people are sniping the wolves from afar. What’s happening?” Augustus kept on caressing the head of his sister, even if he was talking to the officer. “Are they hiding inside the yacht?”
