Inside a seemingly endless forest was a small hill. On top of that hill, on slippery boulders and rocks, a petite, young teenage girl looked like she was running away from someone with an expression of desperation and hatred written on her face. She was panting and breathing loudly while sweating, she nearly tripped over a few times. Even in that situation her pretty face, ample and well-rounded figure and overall very beautiful appearance could be seen. She still had a bit of fighting spirit left.

She had very long black hair with a hint of dark bluish as well and her eyes were pitch black. Beneath her full-body sleeveless female shinobi uniform was a transparent mesh armor revealing her skin a little. She used to wear a dark black coat on top of it all, but it fell off a long time ago.

However, suddenly, she was forced to stop in her tracks as just in front of her stood the two people, she hated the most in the entire world, once again, 'Damn, damn, they're just toying with me now!'

"Kiyomi Uchiha, it was truly hard to find you in all those years. However, since I finally found you today, you should just give up peacefully.", One of the two men standing there informed her calmly.

He had black eyes, under which were long, pronounced tear troughs, also black hair that was pulled back in a low ponytail, and his face was framed with center-parted bangs that extended to his chin. He wore the standard Akatsuki black and cloudy cloak and a slashed Konoha forehead protector.

"Damn it you traitor! Come and kill me yourself then! I won't get down without a fight!", Since realizing that escaping wasn't an option, she picked up a kunai from the small shinobi purse on her thigh preparing to fight to the end, "I don't know why you massacred the whole clan and even chased me and my family to the end of the Earth, while we were just a financial part of the clan, not even shinobi. But, I hope that no matter the reason, all those clansmen you mercilessly killed haunt you for the rest of your miserable life, Itachi, who doesn't even deserve to be surnamed Uchiha!",

After successfully escaping for all those years, in hopes of revenge, she didn't expect to finally get caught like this. She used various techniques to alter her appearance and changed countries every so often. That's why she even got to this Land of Waves, masked as a nun, in the first place. But then those two somehow found her in the nearby village and then chased her all the way to this place.

"Hehe, feisty one, Itachi. Since she is your cousin, I think it's best for you to personally send her on the way.", Kisame Hoshigaki, who was also there with his partner Itachi, grinned and said to him, 'Though her father those years ago, put up quite a fight against Itachi despite not being a ninja and being quite old. Those eyes of theirs are truly scary, no wonder Itachi chased after her so much...'

Kisame was a tall shinobi who had a distinctive shark-like appearance. He had small, round, white eyes, three sets of curved facial markings under his eyes, gills on his shoulders, and sharp triangular teeth. He also styled his blue hair in the form of a shark fin. He wore the same black coat as Itachi.

Originally, Kisame, a Kirigakure ninja, was to guard the Cypher Division under orders from his superior, Fuguki of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. When the group was cornered by Konoha-nin under Ibiki Morino during a mission, Kisame chose to kill the Cypher Division members to keep their intel from being leaked out through Ibiki's interrogation, as instructed by Fuguki. They were all the people he grew quite close to due to all the years they spent doing missions together.

Eventually, after learning that Fuguki was selling information to other ninja villages, for some reason, Kisame killed him and took his legendary Samehada for himself. Though the Fourth Mizukage commended him for his loyalty to Kirigakure, at that time, killing his comrade caused Kisame to become disillusioned and came to realize that the world was filled with lies and hypocrisy.

It was soon after that Kisame was approached by a mysterious figure calling himself Madara Uchiha who also turned out to be the one who controlled the Fourth Mizukage Yagura all along. After explaining his motives and the Eye of the Moon Plan to Kisame, he was initially skeptical of the mysterious ninja, but the notion of a "world of truth" enticed him, leading him to join the Akatsuki many years later, after trying to launch an unsuccessful coup against him in a final attempt to save his village. After failing, he was even more tired of all the hypocrisy of the world, and he became nihilistic, so he joined Akatsuki, and got partnered with Itachi to keep an eye on him by Madara.

Furthermore, after a couple of initial disagreements, he got respect for Itachi and even considered him his friend. From the words of that mysterious Madara and getting to spend some time with Itachi later personally, he realized that he, in actuality, didn't kill the Uchiha clan, his family, for some petty reason, but that it was probably on some orders of the Konoha village. That meant that Itachi, in the same way as him, had to experience killing the people closest to him in the name of loyalty.

Even more, he was quite amazed by his strength, intellect, and calmness. Eventually, it was another reason for his stay in the organization. He just wanted to spend some more time with the person he considered his only friend. However, he never brought up any matters regarding his motives for the slaying of the Uchiha clan, just silently following him along while he went on to find and kill those last few survivors who were outside the village at the time of the massacre due to various reasons.

That all led him to the present time. As the tailed beast capture plan was about to be launched full-scale next, Itachi urgently needed to find this person, the last Uchiha outside the village, before then. Recently they did their maximum effort ever, using various methods, and finally located her. She was the last person on Itachi's list of living Uchiha other than him, Sasuke, and Madara Uchiha.

After hearing Kiyomi's ruthless words, Itachi got inwardly spooked a bit, but then returned to his previous state of mind, 'Yes, she has to go as well... Itachi, who already killed even babies, children, women, the elderly, his father, and mother, with his hands already bloodied to the fullest, he couldn't reject such a 'simple' request. He killed her whole clan, her mother, and her father. She had to live all on her own, on the streets, from when she was just eight years of age, because of him. And not just that, she had to conceal and hide herself during all of that time, during every second of it. However, to make matters even worse, Itachi was even her close cousin. His mother Mikoto Uchiha was a close relative of her father, the previous Outed Elder of the clan, as not just any woman could marry the clan's patriarch himself, she had to be of a small status as well.

She previously met Itachi and his brother Sasuke, many times in the past, once her parents visited Konoha. She used to play with Sasuke and adore Itachi, never in her wildest dreams imagining everything that happened afterward, how that Itachi personally destroyed her entire life ruthlessly. The only thing that allowed her to live, all alone, from such a young age, was that she already opened her full three tomoe Sharingan, at that time, out of distress, so she could at least protect herself. She also, through the years, learned a lot about how to use genjutsu and hide her tracks.

"Sigh... Kisame, leave this to me.", Itachi sighed tiredly, feeling very sorry for her, but he needed to do the following thing, it was his burden and destiny. He immediately sped up toward her, with his base Sharingan open. He needed to keep his health for the following plans regarding Sasuke killing him and becoming a village hero. Therefore, he decided not to use Tsukuyomi on her to soften her death, as he did with Izumi at that time, but to kill her directly instead. They fought in close range for a couple of rounds. However, Kiyomi's speed, reflexes, durability, and strength were nowhere near Itachi's level. Her usage of Uchiha's Fire Release was also nowhere near Itachi's. Therefore, she was quickly down on her knees, out of breath, and filled with injuries on her various body parts.

'Just how is he so strong!?', Kiyomi thought on her knees dejectedly. She scoured the whole world looking for various body exercises, taijutsu, and kenjutsu techniques, however, she still got defeated in just half a minute. She even worked as a masked bounty hunter for some time during those eight years she was alone after he murdered her family. She fought with all kinds of warriors, however, Itachi was above every league. His physique and fighting intellect were just so many layers above her, 'Why does such a prodigy have to abandon his clan, damn!', Even though he was her enemy, she still acknowledged his talent, 'Is it really the end of everything...? Uchiha clan, father, mother...'

She looked at Itachi's unmoving face as he edged his kunai even closer to her, ready to finish her off in a matter of seconds. He couldn't even open his mouth to try and speak. He started sweating, immediately opening his own Mangekyo Sharingan and trying to hit her with his Tsukuyomi genjutsu, at the same time. However, it wasn't working on her at all, and he knew exactly why, 'Really the Mangekyo Sharingan!? Is it time slowing ability? As I recall, this is the first time in history someone awakened it just because they didn't want to die, without any outside sources of loss and mental disturbances...'.

After making eye contact with a target, Itachi can trap them in an illusionary realm of his design. Through his unprecedented ability to alter targets' perception of time, he could also use Tsukuyomi to subject victims to days' worth of torture in a matter of seconds, for example, continual stabbing or reliving traumatic events over and over. And the pain felt in that dimension is real, as it alters all of the target's five senses. And if the target is weak-willed, he could be even killed in reality due to the effects that mental trauma has on the body itself, or at least suffer huge psychological damage. Tsukuyomi was Itachi's personal unique Mangekyo ability alongside the Amaterasu eternal flames, of his other eye. Those black flames were set to be "the fires from hell" and to burn as hot as the sun itself. Amaterasu also burns any material, other flames included until nothing but ash remains.

Kisame seeing this, opened his eyes wide as well, immediately wanting to help Itachi, however, it wasn't necessary as two large orange skeleton-like arms now protruded from Itachi's back, moving him closer to his position. Itachi immediately coughed some blood and pressed his chest in pain. He was sick for a long time now, and he couldn't use Mangekyo Sharingan too much in a single day.

Kiyomi herself was in a daze, her eyes were scorching hot, and she also felt like her whole body and chakra reserves got a few levels in boost. She knew what she just awakened, it was those legendary eyes of her clan, which her father also acquired before his death. However, she didn't get overly excited. Due to her father's status in the clan, she knew a lot of things and knew that she just awakened those eyes and couldn't bring their fullest potential yet. She got a new chance for life, even for revenge as well. However, she first had to escape from there safely which won't be easy.

"Kisame, please, attack her in your full force alongside me! Don't allow her to escape! It will be a disaster!", Itachi suddenly pleaded to Kisame. Susanoo was a unique ability of the Mangeyko Sharingan holders. It was essentially a huge chakra presence, made out of Yin Release, that coated and followed the user around for both offensive and defensive uses. It came in various forms, depending on the user's skill with using them, from a small skeleton-like ribcage to large, mountain-sized samurai giants. It was nearly indestructible, and it was a nightmare for every opponent below the Kage level even in its most basic forms. Just shockwaves from the attacks of the Perfect Susanoo could slice mountains and seas in half. However, it doesn't come without its costs, as the user could go fully blind from using it too much, and it required a large amount of chakra to maintain. Only a handful of Uchiha clan members in the past could use it.

"Use your strongest attack on her right away. In that way, the chakra usage required to stop it would probably be tremendous. She just awakened those eyes and I think she won't be able to stop it. Go and close her escape route from the other side.", Itachi instructed quickly.
