Is This The End?

At the police station, Nian Zhen walked up to the front desk with a basket of fruits. Catching the attention of one of the officers at the desk, "Oh, isn't it Nian Zhen." He welcomed her with open arms.

"It's been a while, Uncle." She said with a smile. " You grew more beautiful since the last time your dad brought you here." "Haha, Uncle, and your sweet words. Where's dad?" On her tippy toes trying to get a better view of the office.

"He's out right now. What's wrong?"

"Um… nothing. I'll just want to surprise him." Lifting the baskets up.

In the meantime, the two men brought Rex to an abandoned building. "This isn't it," The man looked up at his captain. "There's only women's clothes..." The Captain frowned by the sight of it and brutally poured cold water onto Rex's face, waking him up.

"Where's the case?"

"Ugh…" Rex groans. After a second of scanning the remote area, he figures the tight situation he was in. He glares at the two men in front of him, "...Chinese soldiers… When do you rest?" He asked with sarcasm.

"The case. Where. Is. it?" The captain stepped in. Rex arched his brow, not understanding why they're asking when it's in their hand.

"Wang Shu." The captain command. "Yes sir." He held the gun and faced it at Rex.

"WAIT! WAIT!! I'm just the pick-up." He stomped his tied feet in distress, trying to save his life. "TH-They will be calling me again at 3. If I don't answer. They will know something is off."

"It doesn't matter anymore. You lost the suitcase. You're already a goner."

"HOLD ITT!! I remember something… I remember. That girl!"

"Girl?"

"Y-YES!! She stole IT!"

"Feng Mian. Look." Wang Shu showed his captain an album book he found in the case.

"Which?" Feng Mian said, shoving the photo at his face. Rex blinks his eyes and looks at Feng Mian. "THAT GIRL! Long hair with bangs." He struggled, "She took my bag."

"You better not be playing." Wang Shu warns. "When the time comes, act normal. If you tip them off. It's off with your head." Feng Mian said as he stepped out to make a call. "I need you to track someone for me."

"Nian Zhen, where did you go?" The ladies waited at her house doorsteps. "Girls. My suitcase has been switched..."

"Did you tell your dad?" Ying Yue said, looking concerned. "He wasn't there."

"What about the uncle?" Ru Shi added. Nian Zhen suddenly stopped her track, like she realized something, "Uh...I didn't think about that." Ru Shi did a face slap and sigh, "Nian Zhen...so hopeless."

"Was there anything important?"

"Not really. Only my clothes and ... Ying Yue's gift." Ying Yue pat Nian Zhen's shoulder indicating that it's okay. "At least there's nothing personal missing."

"We can go shopping later after we eat." Ru Shi thought. "What's inside the suitcase you have?" "Take a look yourself." Letting them in.

"Oh my." They turn to one another.

"Am I dreaming or what?" as Ru Shi's mouth drops open. "How much could this worth?" as Ru Shi comments again. Nian Zhen then suddenly hits her head, "this is illegal don't you know?" as she reminds her.

"Nian Zhen is right. We have to hand it over to the police," as Ying Yue said. "But the thing is who should we hand it over. This is some serious big thing, and if we don't do this properly, it could get us and especially Nian Zhen into trouble," as Ying Yue added.

"I'm not worried about that since the luggage doesn't belong to me anyway. But what I'm more worried about is what if that person comes to find me. Will he kill me because I saw this?" Nian Zhen begins to overthink. "Plus I don't know when dad will be back."

As the three sat there wondering what to do about it, someone came knocking on the door.

"That fast?" as Ru Shi nervously looks at the other girls.

"Try not to scare yourself," as Ying Yue said. "You both sit here and I'll go open the door." "No, we'll all go together. No matter who it is, we will go together," Nian Zhen stood up and firmly looked at Ying Yue.

Nian Zhen took a broomstick, and Ru Shi grabbed a pan as they stood behind Ying Yue. Ying Yue bravely opens the door, and out of the blue is a delivery man standing on the porch.

"Here's your order of fried chicken, and fries. A total of $12.50." Ying Yue stares at him blankly and looks at the girls. "Who ordered food?" as Ying Yue asks.

A spark of light came to Ru Shi's brain. "Ahh, it's me." She walks up, holding her pan in her hand. The delivery man shifts back as he sees this. Ru Shi notices it and awkwardly laughs. She threw the pan to one side and looked at Nian Zhen. "I didn't bring my wallet," as she gives her a smile. Nian Zhen is already used to this, she takes out her card and gives it to the delivery man. After paying, the delivery man hands back the card to her and hurriedly walks away.

"Let's eat," as Ru Shi said happily holding the bag of fried chicken.

The two of them are speechless and close the door behind them.

"I found her. She's at the village down at the town." Feng Mian ends the phone and orders the others to look after Rex.

Feng Mian got into the car with Wang Shu and started driving there.

"Aren't we lucky? It's been a while since we last interacted with women." Wang Shu said with excitement. "The ones we met are either spies or just BAD." Feng Mian reminded him of the nature of women again.

"Why the negativity?" Wang Shu shrugs. Feng Mian glare to his left, "Enough."

"Yes." Trying to lighten the mood as he drove, "Let hope they haven't brought it in to the police. That's just more paperwork on us." After 30 minutes in, they reached the village Nian Zhen was in.

Glancing at the rear mirror, there was a truck following them from some time, "We have a follower!" Wang Shu claims, looking behind them. "Drop me off the side." Feng Mian instructed.

Eh?... Understood."

Feng Mian got out of the car as they made turned and went on foot from there.

After the girls finished their chicken, Ying Yue took a deep breath and watched Nian Zhen's face, "Should we just leave it with the police? We have the protection that way."

"Should we?" All three of them look at one another for answers. "Any time now?" Ru Shi said.

Nian Zhen placed her hand on the table, "Let's go." As they were preparing to head to the police station. There was a knock on the door. "Did you order again?"

"You think I'm some pig?"

Nian Zhen looked through the peephole. No one was at the door. "No one is there." She gulped. "It's from the backyard..." Tears started appearing, "What do I do? You two, go get out of here. Pretend you know nothing."

"You're kidding, right?"

"There's no way." Ying Yue declared.

They went to the back and saw Feng Mian. "What do we do?!"

"Hello! Is there anyone inside? I work for the government. I believe you got tangled into something dangerous."

"Do we believe?" Nian Zhen hid her face. "He could be lying." Ru Shi stated. "Let's pretend no one here."

"I know you're inside." He knocked on the back door once more.

They quickly ran back to the living room. As they were taking their breather.

*THUMP!! THUMP!*

Someone was trying to break in through the front door.

"Didn't he say he works for the government?!" Nian Zhen shouted in stress and looked back at her yard.
