What It Means To Be A Hero Part 1

Kali backed up and returned to Asui's side, hugging her from behind, but she was still watching Tuna closely as she wanted to see what he had in mind. She could tell something must have come to him after she talked to him. So she hoped that he would not fail this time. While she did not really care about him too much personally she watched out for him because of All Might. She wanted him to succeed only for that reason and that reason alone.

Kali was so focused on Tuna that she did not realize that Asui was leaning back into her embrace with a peaceful expression. Nor did she see Uraraka sneaking peeks at her from the side as if she wanted to say something.

Midoriya, on the other hand, began to wonder if Kali was always picking on him because she liked him. He kept trying to push the idea out of his head but after hearing what she said, he couldn't help but feel that way. As he brought back the ball in his hand, he remembered what Kali said. 'Make it so it won't cripple me…. Then….'

Midoriya thrust his arm forward, concentrating his quirk into his finger before yelling out: "Smash!"

"Oh ho! 770 yards, not bad kid." Aizawa said with a smile.

"I did it! Kali, I did it!" Tuna yelled out as he turned around with a big smile. Tears dripped from his eyes due to the pain in his finger. He was happy. He did not cripple himself. For the first time using One for All, he did not cripple himself.

"Deku! What the fuck is this!? Explain yourself!" Bakugou yelled out while activating his quirk and sending a punch right at Midoriya. But before he could even get two steps, he found his face being smashed into the dirt. A food pressed down on top of his head, keeping him pinned to the ground.

"What did I just say!? Did I not tell you that no one was allowed to bully Tuna besides me? Do you think my words are just for show!?" Kali yelled out as she stomped her foot a few times, pushing Trash Boy's face deeper into the dirt.

Aizawa frowned and quickly used his scarf to try to restrain Kali, but before it even reached, with a single glare from her, the scarf stopped mid air and fell to the ground. Kali only spoke two words: "Don't interfere!"

After saying this, she lifted her foot and stepped back, and looked at the Trash Boy on the ground. "Trash Boy, you need to learn to listen to others. If you keep acting like this, you will end up becoming more of a villain than a hero. But don't worry, if you become a villain, I will be there to help you.... Lie down for all eternity."

"You!" Bakugou wanted to curse, but when he looked up at Kali, whose lips were curled up into a smile, but her eyes were not smiling one bit, he choked back his words. He did not know why but he felt if he continued, he would end up not being able to get up tomorrow.

"Kali, you went too far!" Aizawa yelled. He could not understand why his quirk did not work on her. He tried to erase her quirk just now but wasn't able to. He also did not understand how or why his scarf was stopped mid air with a single glance from this girl. 'Is the demigod quirk really that strong?'

"I am just stating things clearly and putting an end to it now. Plus, you are not one to talk after everything you said to Tuna as well. Heroes are people who are supposed to help people. Not attack them when they are down. Yes, I may pick on him, but I will never go so far as to tell him he can't do something if he sets his mind to it. I will never reach out and try to harm him in a serious manner like Trash Boy here. Both you and Trash Boy are the ones who decided to act first. Everyone here is here for a reason, to become heroes. This is why everyone applied to UA and is standing here, here, and now. As our sensei and our senior in the field of heroism. Guide us in a proper manner. Don't try to make us feel like we are nothing before we even have a chance to prove ourselves." Kali's words seemed to hit everyone in the heart. Even Ida, who had lectured her earlier, found Kali's words to resonate with him.

"Kali is not that I am trying to degrade you all. It is that I do not wish all of you to go out and die. The last thing I want is for you all to go out and fight a villain only to overestimate your own abilities!" Aizawa did not want those who were not capable of being heroes to end up on the list of all the heroes before that had died in the line of action.

"But isn't that your job as a teacher? Teaching us from the start what a hero should be and how they should act? Guide first before making a judgment. That is what your job is. A hero does not need to be all powerful!"
