15 The dragons

Dragons are one of the mightiest races. Their world only has one nation. That nation has only one king. Being a king is not hereditary. They will have to prove they are worthy of leading them before they took the throne. Dragons value wisdom especially the kings. They make a king not because that dragon is strong but because he has wisdom. They want a wise leader than a strong leader. As all of them are strong by default. Having a unique magic exclusive to them. Wild magic.

Wild magic is a form of magic that is more potent than normal magic. Wild magic uses life essence instead of magic. What makes it so deadly is dragons can be powerful enough to steal the life essence of intelligent creatures. While they often take the life force of the surroundings just like the plants, air, soil, and other things as everything has life.

Getting the life essence from non-intelligent things and creatures are much easier. But they do not take all of the life essences on everything. They just took a portion of it from many targets. Dragons can take the life essence of intelligent beings but they will more likely struggle in doing so. As the target can fight it. But since they do not take every life essence of things and creatures. Eventually they will recover it. Most likely they will fully recover in a few hours.

Only incredibly strong dragons can take the life essence of others and even take the life essence of their kind. They can use their own life force. And when they do use it. The magic will be stronger. But weakening them at the same time due to the loss of life essence. Much like a double-edged sword where you struggle against an opponent who's driving the back blade towards you.

Aside from that. They also have their breaths which correspond to whatever they are. It can be fire, ice, water, stone, wind, lightning, or anything that is their element.

Sometimes dragons are solitary when they reached a certain age. But most often live as a family. And live like the people in other worlds. Building human houses and having luxurious lives. It first started as fun. But then all dragons do it as it is comfortable. Most dragons are like this. They can also visit other worlds without startling anyone. They can do this due to their ability to morph. They only have one appearance except for the dragon form and that is the human form. Their human forms cannot be altered anymore. Whatever you look as a human is always what you look. They can't change it the way they want. But peoples will still know them as dragons given they still have their wings and dragon tails even after morphing.

Dragons are proud creatures. But they are not foolish enough to be carried into a fight because of their pride.

Dragons' powers do not vary by their practice. They will eventually get stronger as they get older without doing anything. But they can still practice their instinct to be used in battles.

There are 3 types of dragons.

Dragons: which are the young ones or which the normal ones. Below 1000 years old dragons are part of this.

Elder dragons: Stronger and older dragons. Likely to have lived for 2000 to 5000 years

People can notice this through sizes. Their rank mark is found on their forehead in dragon form and on palm too in human form.

Ancient dragons: The strongest dragons. They are strong enough to declare war with an entire continent of people from other worlds by themselves. These dragons lived for more than 6000 years.

Their king belongs to the ancients. They are grateful to have a wise and strong leader at the same time.

Dragons can live for over more than 10,000 years before they die of old age. While there are creatures that are essentially ageless. Sadly, they only have a long lifespan and not ageless.

Yet. One of them is flying towards Satoshi.
