7 Goblin's Retreat

Uriel moved over to Guage's hiding spot, sure enough there was a Troll Sergeant there.

Uriel motioned for Guage to follow him. " It's too bad neither of us have a kite skill, Trolls are quite stupid." Uriel said as he was looking around on the ground, finally he picked up a small rock about the half the size of his fist. " This is how were going to defeat all those enemies." Guage was confused he wasn't sure how throwing rocks was going be able to defeat all those enemies, however Uriel was confident so Guage grabbed a couple rocks as well. " What are you doing?" Uriel asked." We only need this one rock, if we hit the troll when his back is turned, he should lose it on the goblins, once he starts attacking the goblins they'll in turn go after him as they are very loyal to there own kind. No matter who wins whether it's the troll or the goblins we'll be able mop up whatever is left over."

" How do you know all this, it was like when we first got attacked, you knew that the second goblin was going for reinforcements?" Guage wasn't sure how Uriel was coming up with these strategies but he knew he was glad for it.

" Oh ummm well I was a beta tester, I've already played for about three months, goblins, trolls and wolves were the main enemies I faced so I'm pretty knowledgeable about them, come on lets go start a fight." Uriel chuckled a little. when they got back to hideout another troll sergeant had joined the first, this didn't overly concern Uriel he just hoped that the troll would attack the goblins and not the other troll, Uriel chucked the rock right at the back of the first troll's head scoring a bullseye. The troll let out an angry yell turned around and hit the first goblin he seen sending him flying into his two companions close by. Guage watched in amazement as the first troll started taking on all 18 goblin's by himself. However it didn't last long because the other 12 goblin's that had been on the other side heard the commotion came over and immediately went after the other troll. it worked out perfect. Not only did all their enemies fight each other but when they died they were getting the exp. for it. " In this game if you are the cause for monsters dying you get the experience, unless another player kill steals at the last moment who isn't in your party." Guage nodded.

" That makes sense I guess since players are always fighting each other." Guage was watching the fight, the goblins seemed to be losing horribly. " Are we going to have to fight the trolls, they seem to be winning?" Already half the number of goblins were down while the trolls had barely lost a quarter of there life.

" Probably trolls may be stupid but they are strong and are like impenetrable walls at our level we would never stand a chance. If we our lucky the trolls will be under half life when we attack. We should also be level 3 giving us 6 more stat points and 1 more skill point, I'm hoping it'll be enough." Just as he said that they leveled up once at 1050 exp and within 15 seconds they leveled up again at 1800 if just barely. "Quick you put all your stats to agility your strength should be high enough, I need to put it all to strength and hopefully we whittle them down fast enough to counter their healing rate." Uriel also used his skill point on his on his Holy Hammer Strike leveling it from 0 to 1, this only reduced the mana cost but it would give him at least one additional chance however the damage remained the same which was 200% of his str. + vit. At level 3 he got a pleasant surprise as his weapon also leveled from 0 to 1.

Thomas's the Sanctified Magic Hammer level 0-1

Damage 6> 24

Str and Vit +10

To level up to level 2 must sacrifice 5 common weapons.

Thomas's Sanctified Magic Hammer is thought to be forged by a grandmaster and is his true master piece. Not much is known about the blacksmith other then Thomas the Sanctified is the only one to ever meet him.

It seems like this weapon is going to be beyond powerful I wonder what the draw back is going to be, at least I got one free level up with it. I wonder if I level it up more if more info will be available. No matter at least now I'm doing a decent amount of damage, these trolls shouldn't pose us a problem now." Ok, these guys are strong but they are slow, so stay in close quarters and aim for there legs it's doubtful that well get any critical hits, but we should be able to whittle them down as long as we keep a constant flow of attack."

" Should we attack the same one?" Guage looked ready for battle, he just needed the word.

" No, in fact we should try to draw them apart they may be slow but they have long reach and we don't need to be inadvertently hit by the other one's club, also if you see he's going to hit you activate your Holy Invulnerability. He may not kill you with one swing but there's a good chance that he'll cause a debuff of some sort. Ready?" Guage nodded, " alright lets go."

Uriel came at his troll from the west, and Guage instantly figured out to come from the east on his. Who was this guy, he's good they had barely played together for more then a couple hours, yet Guage picked up on every strategy easily. Uriel was definitely going to try to recruit him for his new guild, hopefully he wasn't already committed somewhere else.

He decided that it was time to concentrate on his troll as he was in striking distance, the troll bellowed and swung his club towards him. Uriel did a front roll narrowly avoiding the club, as he came up he used a Holy Hammer Strike on the troll's left leg not because it was doing a lot more damage but because it was an instantaneous attack. The Troll stumbled and fell to one knee, Uriel was stunned, not only had he put the troll down but he'd caused a speed debuff and caused a critical hit for 207 damage. His shock only lasted a moment then he concentrated and got back to the task at hand. With the troll at half it's usual speed he had no trouble finishing off his opponent, mainly because his attacks were landing between 80-120 and even one more critical at 150. He had to wonder just how powerful magic weapons in this game really were. Guage was having a lot more trouble with his opponent, he was barely doing enough damage to to negate the trolls healing ability. However Guage's dodging ability was nearly flawless and the troll wasn't even coming close to hitting him. Its a good thing I met this guy even thought this is a rare quest I don't think were going to have any trouble completing it. Once Uriel had finished his troll he was able to team up with Guage and together cleaned up the other one.

" Alright lets loot bodies." Guage gave him a funny look, like he wasn't right in the head. " Ok, jeez I'll do it." Uriel managed to get 2 more daggers and enough copper to add up to about 2 and a half silver. Uriel split copper with Guage, however he kept the daggers for himself, if he could collect two more he could level up his hammer again. With the boost he got from the first level he hoped that the second level would improve it as much or more. " Well, I guess it's about time we head in. However we should take it slow this is quite the welcoming party and I don't think we'll be as lucky inside as to be able to use the monsters against each other. Also we should only talk through the chat once we are inside, that should keep the noise to a minimum." Guage nodded once as they headed inside.
