Chapter 003 Secret Agent (Part 3) My name is Anna

Stumbling for a mere second, his bodily actions immediately kicked in, helping the person to stand up.

Muttering a soft sorry, he started to run when the person yells at him.

"Hey! You bast*rd! Running off after hurting someone! Comeback here!", yelled angrily by the person who is actually a girl with a sweet voice.

He stop in his track appearing shocked and muddleheaded. He is not shocked that it was a girl, but, by the fact that that voice actually stirs the soul of Grayson in his body.

"Is she connected to this Grayson in the story somehow? That's why he is giving me a signal?", he muttered quite distracted.

Turning around, he was faced with the the most beautiful girl he ever saw in his life, her age seems to be around the same as his, which is 14. Still covered by a huge furry cream jacket and a loose baggy pants with flip flops, she appears to have no sense of fashion at all.

Revealing only her ebony hair and the peach-shaped face adorned with a pink lips and dark chocolate eyes which is squinted in an angry manner, but still looks cute for him.

He was struck dumb by the beauty but remembering the circumstances, he then immediately drag the girl with him carrying her horizontally.

Not letting the girl to make a loud noise again, he said in a hushed tone,

"You can shut up? Or I'll put a gag in your mouth?", followed by a deep sigh and he added, "I am being chased, and you looked suspicious, they might capture you and force you to tell them where I am.", he said in resignation.

After making the girl silent, he then proceeded in running while carrying the girl, letting his eyes roam and mind to turn for ideas to escape. Luckily, there is a certain memory he recalled where Grayson and Ethan was being led by their parents to tour this area. Her mother said that since this place is in the vicinity of their second meeting point, a pre-preparation is a must.

"You can use that drainage hole beside the road, you can fit your bodies there. that drainage is also connected to a sewer under a building that is near to our third meeting spot.", she instructed and said a few more things that they can take advantage off.

Running at a steady hurried pace, they arrived at the said hole, he looked at it closely for confirmation of its feasibility. Seeing the girl with her bulky jacket, he seems to think that she might not fit in.

While Grayson is looking at the hole, the girl seems to realize what he is going to do, she immediately struggled as hard as she could. At least she is smart for not yelling anymore, as she also saw some of the men who are pursuing them when shes walking alone, they have guns and their faces are gloomy which scared her stiff.

Grayson firmed his decision in entering the hole, he first said to the girl that she will not fit in, thus she must first remove her jacket and enter the hole. After which the jacket will be inserted inside and let the girl take it, and he will follow suit.

Hesitating a bit, the girl seems to also knows what will happen if they can't escape the pursuers, thus she blindly believe this teen and took off her bulky jacket revealing a neon tank top underneath after which she immediately slid inside. She seems to be expert in this and she easily entered the hole.

Looking back at Grayson still standing there, she signalled the boy to give her her jacket using her hand to wag outside the hole. Looking at his silly face, the girl was amused at his antics.

Coming back to his senses, Grayson brought the jacket and followed suit with his bag.

Arriving at the dark sewer, a smell less agonizing than the garbage pile he encountered assaulted his nose, he rummage inside the bag for a bit before bringing a small flashlight of about the size of his thumb. Lighting up the space, few rats and cockroaches can be seen crawling in the damp walking area in either side.

Fearing the girl would scream in fear, he turned his head to look at her, just for him to be more amazed by what qualities this girl have. She also doesn't seems concerned of the smell, she looked like she was standing in the park, quite leisurely.

Wearing the jacket again, she appeared collected and calm, different from the reaction a girl would have when faced with this situation.

Feeling the gaze of Grayson, the girl look at him with a questioning face. Left eyebrow rose up in a threatening manner, at least for her. For Grayson, it just added a few more brownie points for this girl.

Didn't know how to start a conversation, Grayson averted his gaze and directed it to the front, appearing serious and thinking of something.

The girl can feel that this boy really is not bad, following him, she then started to talk.

" Uhmmm, ah, do you think they won't fit in on that hole and chase us?", she said, still a bit uncertain of that thing.

" I think so, while counting their number when they are chasing me I memorize some of their profiles, and the build of their body is one of those I looked carefully.", he stated, also a bit amazed by the memory of this body.

Not knowing how to continue the conversation, Grayson then apologized for his rudeness a while back.

"Don't mention it, I was just also shocked and was not even hurt. Your reflex sure is fast! It was like I bounced off of the ground. Its so fun!", she shriek in excitement then immediately blushed as she understands what her last words means and remembered that she yelled angrily at him a while back.

"I just wanted to do it again, but, but, aahhh! Why am I acting like tsundere...", she muttered to herself which was unluckily heard by Grayson.

Chuckling for what he heard, Grayson couldn't help it anymore and laughed out loud then looked back at the cute girl he picked up from the street.

Stopping his laughing for a while, he then said seriously to the girl,

" Don't worry we will do it again once we are up.", he said in a deadpan face but then smirked afterwards.

Not expecting to be heard her mutterings she blushed even harder, thinking that her face might be coloured like a tomato now, she lowered her face and didn't look at the boy again.

"He's cute huh, and strong too...", this time she just thought of it not saying anything, afraid to be heard again and then followed closely behind him.

Seeing the blushing girl trailing him, he then remembered that he doesn't know the name of this girl,

" I'm Carl-- uhmm Grayson by the way.."

he stated, a bit flustered by almost saying his name in his world. He then directed his gaze at the front and continued in leading.

"I'm uhmm, Anna... yes! My name is Anna.", she replied in haste appearing like she's convincing herself that her name is Anna.

" What a pretty name, perfect for a pretty girl like you.", he said the first part clearly audible while the second part is like a sigh.

She doesn't heard the last line, but still she felt happy by his compliments, she can only say a soft 'thanks' then followed him closely.

Seeing that, the chase is not discussed, she also didn't want to be too nosy. Thus, she continued to follow him in silence and talk when she was ask her contact number, she just stated it and Grayson just look at her then nod. Looking like he memorized it, which is actually true.

While walking, he said that she doesn't need to be implicated, thus separation is needed, he bid her goodbye when they reach the other drainage hole. The hole appears to be larger than the one they entered.

Peeking outside, they made sure no one saw them when they climb out before they walk their separate ways.

Looking at the contact of Anna in his wrist watch, he smiled faintly and made way to their third hideout.

"Oh, I forgot that bouncy thingy."
